I’m going to paraphrase what I heard this morning from the president at the National Prayer Breakfast: “‘This’ isn’t unique..(referring to terrorism, but not said, of course), terrible deeds happened during the Crusades and the Inquisition in the name of Christ….Slavery and Jim Crow, in the name of Christ…not unique to one group or religion”.
Please, if you have a minute check this out…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpSVy6NkeHg
Start at 7:12 or so if you want to hear the part I quoted above.
I think it was hideously inappropriate for him to bring up particularly slavery and Jim Crow because, for one thing, check THIS OUT….I think a lot of work against Jim Crow, not FOR it, was done by Christians. You can straighten me out on this if you can; I want to learn.
Obama went on to really ramble…even more than usual. ALL about how faith and he sounds totally confused and lame.
I could write more but I’m too bugged about what I heard to keep it up…let me know what you think. When someone keeps speaking and knows he’s digging a deeper hole, he exhibits the symptoms of Obama today; it’s hard to watch. Scroll forward a little on the video and you’ll see what I mean. This was unsettling and he got VERY tepid applause very rarely…awful We need a president who’d NEVER, in view of what’s happening to America today, compare Islamist terror to Christian behavior hundreds of years ago or to have a Black president try to draw parallels between Jim Crow and Jesus.
