He might be a Muslim I WOULD vote for, honestly 🙂 He loves his country, he’s ready to stand up for its people…Go, Abdullah!

The other day Jordan claimed they had killed 55 ISIS mutts. Today they’re claiming 7000 dead mutts?
Have they used a nuke or MOAB’s that we don’t know about? And if this last figure is true…how can a country with 22 jets flying do that much damage when we have thousands of fighter / bomber aircraft?

Bomb Damage Assessment is something Imp knows more about than I do, so I cannot respond to his question. On the other hand, King Abdullah is no piker. He has a robust resume.

Well-educated, Sandhurst graduate, British Army commission, served as a platoon commander, advanced degrees in international relations, as a Jordanian Army captain, he was trained in advanced mechanized warfare and served in the 40th Armored Brigade, later commanded a Tank Company, as a field grade officer he attended filight school and was designated a military pilot (AH-1 Cobra); he afterwards commanded an anti-Armor Wing. After advanced studies at Georgetown University, he was commissioned a major general and assumed command of Jordan’s special operations command. Now it is plainly true that only an idiot would oppose promoting the king’s son to flag rank, but it is also true that King Abdullah II of Jordon knows what in the heck he’s doing. As my friend Imp said the other day, Jordan’s assets are somewhat limited and since the Shi’ite Obama does not favor Jordan, he is not likely to receive additional American assistance in procuring additoinal military aircraft.

A side note:

Everyone on the left speaks of Barack Obama’s intellectual ability. I actually do not see much of this. Sending Joe Biden and John Kerry to meet with Issac Herzog, who is Netanyahu’s opponent in the upcoming election, seems rather sophomoric to me. This is the introduction of Chicago politics into the Middle East. Herzog is the white version of Barack Obama—so I can see why this might happen. One must now wonder how much of the American taxpayer’s money found its way into the Herzog election campaign chest.

Speaking of Obama brilliance, he helped to overthrow a legitimate president in Egypt, helped to install his own choice from the Moselm Brotherhood (Mohammed Morsi), apparently had no clue that the real power in Egypt is the military, who rose up against Morsi, arrested him, and sent him to stand trial. The new president, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has now discarded its traditional ally (USA) and embraced instead, Vladimir Putin of Russia.

If Barack Obama is an intellectual, he must be a leftist intellectual—which is an oxymoron.

The Saudi-friendly, London-based Asharq al-Awsat an a column from its former editor calling for a pan-Arab army to sweep across Iraq and Syria to destroy ISIS. He also scoffs at Barack Obama’s “indolence,” and at his professed “strategic patience,” referring to it instead as “strategic cowardice”:

Ed, yes, we know he’s Muslim, and I’m thinking there are more and more voices like his emerging; even the Egyptian leader is making moderate noises….”let us pray!”

Mustang; Funny, a Jewish Rabbi friend and I’ve been emailing, he’s a dear friend and we study Psalms together about every six weeks with some other CHristian friends (I keep asking if we can work on MATTHEW next time…that’s the standing joke!)…Anyway, Hal literally emailed me an hour ago saying that Herzog is a relative unknown! There are FAR more viable candidates than him though we’re only hearing about Herzog! Is our government getting it wrong? Or is he someone who’s left enough to have attracted them and they’re promoting him against all the truly viable candidates? VERY ODD, to me.

You all might remember I blogged several times about how I felt it could never be the West which would silence islamist terror….and that was before ISIS. I felt it has to come from other muslims and I think we all see this happening….When ISIS first started up I remember saying “let them go overboard against muslims and THEN we’ll see their end”…and I think that, if JOrdan doesn’t forget what happened (and it won’t), they’ll continue like this.
My biggest concern is Saudi Arabia’s leaders……..they want nothing with capitulation, they still supposedly support terror and that’s BIG TIME bad.
