Well, if that’s true what then is the [common denominator] for all of those Muslim terrorist groups, too numerous to mention?

It’s a vacuous term, like Bush’s War on Terror.

I do believe our government should refrain from giving offense, but they could simply call the group by its name, ISIL, and be done with it. Leave it to Muslims and their leaders to condemn ISIL’s version of Islam and explain why it is a perversion of their faith.

Would you listen to a Buddhist explain who is and is not a Christian?

(I blogged about this today, by the way)

FJ: that makes perfect sense, of course. REFORM Muslims might have represented a lot of American people who believe in them and look at them as the ONLY way to conquering islamist extremism. Obama can’t have that, and I’m sure the reformers go against everything the White House employees who are Muslim want. Isn’t that astonishing?

John, it’s like they just think we are FAR too stupid to understand the truth looking right at us. unreal.

SF? I’ll be happy to read your article when I’m back today (gotta run) but we’re only asking MUSLIMS to decide who’s violent and who’s not. We can’t condemn people who beheaded Americans?
As you know, I’m about the only blogger here who doesn’t believe ALL MUSLIMS WANT US DEAD, but to suggest we shouldn’t be condemning it sounds like we don’t know the facts…it is NOT a ‘version of Islam’ …it’s a version of the KORAN………and that’s GOT to be made known so reform can happen. I’ll come by Western Hero later..thanks.

  8. Well, I have to agree that not all Muslims are “potential want us dead” because as I believe I mentioned in an earlier blog both my late Father and Grandfather were warned by a Muslim Turk that they were coming for them the next day and suggested they leave town immediately. This was 100 years ago when they lived in Turkey, where they were both born and lived for generations when it was part of Armenia, so its hard for me not to agree with Z. That being said, however, all countries including America should somehow limit the numbers entering before its too late because its impossible to tell who is and who isn’t a potential terrorist. Its like a cancer that is spreading to every continent on the globe.

I don’t buy it – not that explanation. I think AOW’s link is more to the point: ISIS isn’t really all that radical to the core messages of Islam. If Johnson’s explanation were true, I think a rational man would be exceedingly anxious to label them as extremists in contrast to ‘mainstream’ Islam, and thus prevent ‘real’ Islam from being tainted by the Islamic State.

Ditto; If I could, I would “limit their numbers entering” to zero until such time it becomes clear that [they] offer no further threat. NO, I don’t know how that can be done in our current PC climate. With the exception of certain skills and educational needs, in short supply, I don’t see the need for further immigration until our domestic ‘labor participation’ problem has been solved and we darn sure don’t need to expand the entitlement/welfare debt!

Baysider…you don’t buy what? …that the Muslims asked them to keep a lid on it? I DO. Muslims are saying “Jump!” and the WH is saying “How HIGH?!”
And I agree that any rational man should know to contrast….and could if he wasn’t SO afraid of them. THAT is where this White House has to get…FINALLY, to say “Yes, we believe this brand of islam is all about terror and we ask all good muslims to join us in the fight.”:

Johnson sickens me…he’s another quisling and a coward for not speaking the truth.
Here’s what I’d have hoped an American who has the guts to face a real enemy would have said:

“Men, all this stuff you’ve heard about America not wanting to fight, wanting to stay out of the war, is a lot of horse dung. Americans traditionally love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle. When you were kids, you all admired the champion marble shooter, the fastest runner, big league ball players, the toughest boxers. Americans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser. Americans play to win all the time. I wouldn’t give a hoot in hell for a man who lost and laughed. That’s why Americans have never lost, and will never lose a war… because the very thought of losing is hateful to Americans.”

What are we now? What are are leaders made of when they have to hear BS, pandering and appeasement like this, knowing full well that the Islamists embedded in this government, are driving this cowardice?

There is no part of islam that integrates with any free society. It should be rejected on that basis at the very least. I also don’t believe anything a moslem says because the koran encourages them to lie like rugs to infidels. I hear many of the ones who are here are not paying taxes, not paying back their credit card debt etc. This is exactly what the koran tells them to do – live on the backs of the infidels. I want them all out personally as well as islam no longer recognized as a religion and redefined as a cult.

Our society has no method to deal with them effectively.

They’re calling for mass murder in shopping malls now. Have things gotten better or worse since 9-11. Rhetorical question. And it will only continue to get worse until we mirror the hell holes they’ve created in Europe.

Kid, you and I don’t agree on the fact that I know there are muslims who don’t mean us harm, but on everything else I totally agree with you.

Mal…turning away from God…..someone ought to do a graph showing our culture starting from the earliest times in America till now….there’d be a total correlation of lines on the chart…going DOWN together,….one line showing the times when we started taking God out of schools, prayer gone, fighting the 10 Commandments at courts, stopping taking kids to religious training….and the other line showing the decline in our culture…abortions, drugs, etc.

Of course, the biggest problem is the lefties who’ll say “How is abortion or drugs or encouraging transgender children, etc etc ETC, SO bad?” that’s a HUGE dilemma.

I have to say that Americans have an interesting set of morons running our government. One of my favorites is John McCain, who first wanted to send taxpayer-funded arms to “Free Syrian Rebels” to help them defeat al-Asad. I wondered then why John McCain was so interested in helping Sunnis defeat a non-Sunni regime. I wondered this because I could not recall the last time the US was attacked by Syrian forces. Well, it was because al-Asad used chemical weapons on the Syrian rebels —but as it turns out, this isn’t true either. It was an Al Qaeda group that employed chemical agents against al-Asad’s army and, typical of most Moslems, they didn’t account for shifting wind conditions. And then we learned that the Free Syrian Rebels that excited McCain so much was actually ISIS in their infancy. I wondered then why McCain isn’t in a maximum security prison.

I remain confused about the motivation for the USA (John McCain/Lindsey Graham) to involve itself in Islamic sectarianism. Why are we taking sides at all? Why are we supporting any Sunni effort at anything? ISIS is Sunni. Al Qaeda is Sunni. The Moslem Brotherhood is Sunni. Wahhabis is Sunni. By supporting the Sunni against al-Asad, are we saying that we prefer to lend our support to the Shi’a of Iran? If we oppose Iranian Shi’a, does this mean we are the useful idiots helping ISIS kill us?

What this should lead us to is this conclusion: no one inside the beltway is smart enough to figure out Middle Eastern politics. If we don’t understand Middle Eastern politics, wouldn’t it be better to stay out of it? As Kid and I were discussing this a week or so ago, we came to an agreement. The bombs we are using in the air campaign are way too small.

That’s how terrorism works, Imp. Now for all those people in Minnesota that laughed when conservatives sounded a warning bell about the danger from within … I wonder if they’re laughing now. There are 330 million people living in our country today (discounting illegal Obamaites); Somali Moslem taxi drivers may refuse to carry you in their cab if you are wearing a crucifix, but there is no way those bastards can kill us all. This explanation smells. I think he wants us to believe that Obama is doing this because peaceful muslims want him to. While I think this group walks him like a dog on a leash, it makes no sense that they want to not have him speak out on the Islamic state. Even if they’re FOR the IS they would make more headway by denouncing it and gaining more credibility from the rest of us.

    Just like this story:
I was encouraged by the weekend’s story of 1300 Muslims who joined to protect a synagogue in Oslo. Breitbart exposed it as a hoax of 20 people and organized by a virulent anti-semite. A media event to accomplish precisely what I’m talking about above.

I believe those leaders never want to admit any Muslim could be this horrid and so if the Pres said so, they’d be furious.
if they were really SMART they’d admit extremism is horrid and, as muslims, they want to help stop it…but their pride can’t get them there.

Tee hee…..here it is friend…there’s a movement on now to allow people to carry in the mall…..but the weak kneed pacifists ( knowingly make the Mall another “gun Safe” zone / aka killers welcome ) are fighting it.

“The terrorist threat against the nation’s largest shopping mall over the weekend has led one state lawmaker to announce plans to challenge the Mall of America’s policy prohibiting patrons from carrying firearms inside.
State Rep. Tony Cornish, the Republican chairman of the Minnesota House of Representative Public Safety Committee, told WCCO in Minnesota on Sunday that the threat by the North African terrorist group al-Shabab showed the mall’s policy is misguided.

“This is completely ridiculous. The complete opposite of what they should be doing,” Cornish said. “If we’re threatened with an attack, the last thing you want to do is disarm citizens.”
The mall currently bans all patrons from carrying firearms inside on the grounds that it’s private property. Under Cornish’s proposal, firearms would be allowed in public areas of the mall, while individual stores would have the option of prohibiting guns if they chose.”

So unarmed sheeple are welcome to the mall…..making them as usual easy targets with no means to protect themselves. Ya think the Mall owners are going to hire a militia to do the job then?

When they attack…this will make Mumbai and Kenya look like a playground.
