A fascinating addition to the blog below….

America’s 2 closest allies are arguably Great Britain and Israel.

2 years before Reagan saved America and swept conservatives into the white house in 1980, Menachem Begin became the first right of center, traditionalist prime minister in Israel’s history as Likud took power.  Likud stayed in power for most of the next 15 years.

1 year before Reagan, Margaret Thatcher began the conservative revolution in the UK.  The Tories held on to power for the next 12 years and saved the country.

Two months ago Likud confounded all the pundits in Israel and won an overwhelming mandate.

Yesterday, the Tories confounded all the pundits in Britain and won an overwhelming mandate.

 November 2016 ….

Interesting, isn’t it?  My friend Hal wrote this……..you do the extrapolation! (AND PRAY!)

Here’s hoping for the geist that move through history leaving hope in its wake.

  2. FB says:

UK will possibly have a referendum to leave the EU. I hope they do and I hope they leave. The EU as it is (bureaucracy, lack of democracy for countries, more power to the central bank and the bankers) is a joke and I want it fail.

  3. Amen to Baysider and FB.

  5. Maybe. But I don’t see a Ronald Reagan of our day on the horizon for the 2016 Election. Of course, it’s’ too early to know much, isn’t it?

I must also say that I don’t know all that much about UK politics.

The true conservatives whom I know in the UK aren’t thrilled with Cameron’s administration as prime minister. But from what I know, Cameron is better to have in office than Miliband would have been.

FB…I wrote about that in my post below…I agree.

AOW, out of all the Republicans running, someone will come out on top.
I was really sickened to hear Lindsay Graham is 98.6% sure he’s running. That’s odd because I’m 98.6% sure I don’t want him. I guess this puts the rumor that he’s gay to rest. If he was a Democrat, homosexuality would be a bonus for a nominee (unless he was a dignified gay man who lived his sex life privately like most normal folks do) but I don’t know how some Reps would take it.

By the way….Cameron isn’t anything close to a Republican, that’s true; but these days, we have to be happy for anybody who’s not a liberal who doesn’t understand what creates jobs and doesn’t want income distribution; those aren’t Cameron.

Well, when the EU was formed I saw it as a collection of parasite-socialist nations trying to stay alive another decade. And I figured it was doomed to fail. 10 socialists aren’t any stronger than one socialist.
AOW, no one knew Reagan would arrive when Ronald Reagan arrived. Maybe history will rhyme.

But I’m sure with Patton. Take Russia while we and our machinery were already there in 1945. We could have avoided an incredibly expensive arms race. We could have avoided communism invading our schools, media and politics. We would have lost technological advancement from the arms race, but that is an acceptable loss when weighed again the other pros.

  8. Baysider says:

Kid, I don’t like to burst your bubble, be we saw Reagan coming for 16 years. He had a national profile from 1964 forward.

  9. Mustang says:

In a fictional account written by Ollie North, a female atheist president is flying in Air Force One when Iran explodes a nuke weapon above North America. The EMP shuts down the aircraft and the atheist president and her sycophant staff go on to receive their just rewards. It was the best part of the book. Of course, the female atheist president he was describing was none other than Hillary Rotten Clinton. I never pray to ask God to harm anyone, but I do ask that he grant Ollie prophetic accuracy.

  10. Imp says:

@Mustang…I have a good one too…Tom Clancy’s “Debt of Honor”. It too involves an aircraft like AF1. Only this one is flown straight into the Capitol during a state of the union address out of DWI. I think UBL probably read that one…his scumbags did come close.

  11. Kid says:

Bay, Contrary to libs, I Love to have my bubble burst. I Love to learn new stuff all the time. (And I do form you btw, thanks)
Aside from that, I had heard that a lot of voters were very apprehensive about electing an ‘actor’ to the white house. Nevermind he had major accomplishments as California Governor.

But I was not politically active in those days. Maybe if some female I was chasing was politically charged I would have been but not to be. (Hey, I’m a guy) – My first vote was cast in 2000 AGAINST al gore. I’ve been voting against dems ever since.

  12. Kid says:

@Mustang (And the civilized world….) regards the hildebeast.

And I’m serious. I will take this to judgement day with me. Scouts Honor.

Baysider, PS – Reagan 1964 campaigning for Barry Goldwater…..
    My thoughts.

An African-American and a Female-American (as leftists would identify them if they weren’t Republican), joining two Hispanic-Americans (who would be called that if they weren’t being labeled White Hispanics by Democrats with Bylines)…would be demolishing the “diversity slander” and suspect class warfare tactics of the left…if the Treason Media had a conscience. Which they don’t.

Rubio, Cruz, Carson and Fiorina are the hallmarks of achievement. Glorious examples of success that utterly destroys The Myths of the Marxist Narrative.

I’m sorry…but if Obama, Hilligula, Kerry, Biden are the standard bearers for “qualified because of Government Experience”, PLEASE give me something else as a new model.

Someone who EARNED their success. Someone of honor and principle who hasn’t spent life as a serial traitor, hating our country, plagiarizing, surrounded by fixers, real estate scams, insider trading plots, and testimony slandering our military while building an altar to Saul Alinsky and Karl Marx.

Who broke through glass ceilings that were real or exposed those that were phony.

Who personify the American Dream, not the intentional tearing down of it.

If the President’s job is to lead and unite us, I want a leader and uniter. If our President is the CEO of our economy, I want someone who doesn’t want to tear apart the free market. I most CERTAINLY don’t want a Socialist or Communist or Marxist of any stripe.

If the President’s job is Commander in Chief, I don’t want one who spent a lifetime hating our military, slandering them and wanting to weaken our defenses.

If the President’s job is to enhance our lives as citizens, I don’t want one who cheapens the meaning and erases the barrier to entry for the privilege to gain the rights AND duties of liberty and defense of it.

If the President’s job is to secure our borders, provide for our defense and protect us from enemies, foreign and domestic…I don’t want one who spent a lifetime belonging on the list of suspects we needed to be defended from. I can’t name a current Democrat holding or running…who meets any of these qualifications.

Because of that…the notion that Government Experience is a prerequisite to holding the office is, if applied, a One Party Obstacle.

Give me brains, honor, achievement, leadership and ability to lead…and I will fill in any “Governing Gaps” with others of like Exceptionalism and specific skills to build an administration that honors America, defends her and advances her interests and stands by her allies and patriots.

Our lineup is the ’27 Yankees to their Little League Lenin team.

I wouldn’t dare besmirch our team. It’s counterproductive and unnecessary. Simply contrast their strengths against those who mean to destroy us. THAT’s our conversation. We have ALL the best choices for ALL the right reasons.

Destroy tyranny in its tracks. Grab onto all the ways that Rubio, Cruz, Carson and Fiorina do THAT for us. And talk about nothing but that…for the time being. Overwhelm the Narrative and beat it to death by its own purported principles.

  15. geeez2014 says:

    Imp; excellent comment.
You talked above about people who made a success for themselves…apparently, the left’s pouncing on Huckabee for saying I AM BLUE COLLAR NOT BLUE BLOOD…..they’re saying he needs to be careful since he’s made so much money in recent years. My thought was “Ya, he MADE money by working hard….” Don’t they get the difference in someone like him and HILLARY, for example?
(have I read your comment somewhere else, by the way??? Sounds familiar)!

Anyway…I will ‘besmirch’ the idea of Lindsay Graham saying he’s announcing soon…ptui!

  16. Imp says:

    Z….Check your email Hon.

  17. Imp says:

And slightly OT…the Groid in Cheep….the racist, divisive, totally repulsive, incredibly dishonest anarchist sympathizer and colleague…. The community marxist commie thug loving POS….did this…and didn’t do the right thing again…along with Holder in Drag. God help us and save is from the the coming slaughter that this POS…has been fueling and feeding: The AA’s wanted to run things? Well they have. And now every ghetto and failing city in America is a failure despite 50 trillion dollars…Baltimore alone 1.8 billion.
Does he hate YT? Nah….he ignores them. he honors thugs, criminals and those who…could be his “sons”…all criminal…scum. He’s give the lowlifes permission to…hate cops…they are..”oppressors”.

Obama honored Freddie Gray — who, according to CNN, had over 20 criminal cases filed against him before his death in police custody — by sending Cabinet Secretary Broderick Johnson, chair of the Obama administration’s My Brother’s Keeper Task Force; Heather Foster, an adviser in the White House Office of Public Engagement; and Elias Alcantara from the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs to his funeral.

The Washington Post reported Obama sent three government officials to Michael Brown’s funeral: Johnson and two officials who worked in the White House Office of Public Engagement, Marlon Marshall and Heather Foster. Brown robbed a convenience store before his fatal encounter with Officer Darren Wilson.

Both Gray and Brown were black.

Yet at the funeral on Friday for Officer Brian Moore, 25, a white NYPD officer who was cold-bloodedly murdered by a black man, Obama sent no one, according to New York 1, despite the fact that tens of thousands of uniformed officers stood in formation outside the church and hundreds of others attended the funeral inside.

This man…is one of the reasons I hate America. Thanks Ovomit…you are the worst POS who’s ever occupied our House. Which you’ve turned into a Section 8 slum.

  18. Baysider says:

    @Kid – on ‘an actor’
When Reagan first ran for governor they slung that charge at him The counter-charge was in a bumper sticker: Why Not an Actor? We’ve Had a Clown for the Past 8 Years
Sounds like a phrase we could dust off, no?

  19. geeez2014 says:

Imp, I check my email CONSTANTLY, hon 🙂
You are SO RIGHT…..Lynch should have attended…..

  20. Kid says:

@Bay, “An Actor”. Yes I think you’re on to something. What comes to mind was a local talk show guy who generally just talked logic, not politics or anything in particular. All comers. (Mike McConnel btw) And he mentioned the government programs always had short rhyming catch phrases because it was the best way to get through to the masses. ie. click it of ticket.

I’ll have to give it some thought.
