Whites telling TRUTH?…..ruhroh

White Appreciation Day?  What do you think?   Here are the first few paragraphs from that link:

Edgar Antillon had no idea the sort of firestorm that the simple, handwritten signs he was posting on Saturday in his Milliken, Colorado, restaurant were about to unleash.

“White Appreciation Day! June 11,” they read. “Because all Americans should be celebrated!”

The plan was for Rubbin’ Buttz BBQ and Country Café to honor white Americans by offering a 10 percent discount that day.

“It was our humorous way of poking fun at our society,” Antillon, the 30-year-old co-owner of the restaurant, told Fox News Latino. “It’s almost racist not to have a day to honor white people, who make up a large portion of American culture.”

Z: Obviously, people are threatening to ‘gut’ him, etc etc….from all sides of the issues.  His partner and family aren’t too happy with him!   But, when asked if he regrets it:

“None whatsoever,” he said emphatically. “Never will I regret it, never will I apologize.”

“People are too busy walking on eggshells all the time to ever accomplish anything.”

Here’s some background:  “The restaurant owner (Edgar Antillon) was born and raised in the Denver area to parents who immigrated from a small town in Chihuahua, Mexico. He started a 501(c)3 group called “Guns for Everyone,” which provides free classes in carrying concealed firearms, and bought Rubbin’ Buttz BBQ earlier this year.”

QUITE an immigrant, huh?

THEN THERE IS THIS.…  “I am a professor at Duke University. Every Asian student has a very simple old American first name that symbolizes their desire for integration. Virtually every black has a strange new name that symbolizes their lack of desire for integration.”.  More from the article:

Hough described himself as a disciple of Martin Luther King Jr. in the 1950s who supported integration. In his lifetime, he said, he’s observed prejudice ranging from the World War II-era internment camps for Japanese-Americans to segregation in the South, and he’s dismayed that more progress hasn’t been made.

“My purpose is to help achieve the battle of King’s battle to overcome and create a melting pot America,” he said.

But, of course, liberal racist professors are calling his plights as if they come from “The Unchecked Racism of a Tenured Duke Professor.”

Apparently, it’s just not okay to tell one’s truth……..it just isn’t okay.  Unless it’s a leftwinger, of course.

Thoughts on either of these articles dealing with Whites who want to step out in trust that people will understand why they’re saying what they’re saying and at least consider it?

When can we ever just consider each other as Americans, and not hyphenate everybody? I am a Norwegian-American, but I can’t use that as a ticket to anything. My Norwegian great grandfather immigrated to the U.S. shortly after the War of Northern Aggression ended (Civil War, for you damn Yankees), and accordingly never held slaves. Yet as a Caucasian, the color of my skin automatically assigns me the historical burden of having supported the evil institution of slavery as viewed by many Americans of dissimilar origins.

At what point can we just be a melting pot? Ever? Where we are judged not by the color of our skin, but by the content of our character? Martin Luther King Jr.s dream may never come to pass, at the current rate of ‘progress.’

These guys are right. The majority of blacks will never integrate into America and will always be a major problem. Ditto the moslems.
And not only white people pay for most of the welfare and other free stuff for these folks, Rich white Americans pay the majority of it. Who do they hate again? It’s absurd.
Give them their 7 states in the North East, call it AmeriKenya and don’t ask us for any money.

I may be a little more angry than usual about it as my wife had First 48 on again last night when I got home. A steady parade of black punks killing mostly other black punks, but anyone and everyone. There are no solutions in sight, and the obama crowd has just taken us back to pre-1960 with it. We’ve got 50 more years of it just to get back to 2008.

Edgar Antillon’s crime is that he stands in the wrong camp. A pro-gun rights business owner who mocks the leftwing strategy of politically-correct speech codes and assigning rights and punishments based upon tribal affiliation (apologies to the Indians).

What the press and the leftwing agitators won’t tell you (and what really burns them up) is that Edgar Antillon is the typical second generation Hispanic immigrant. Integrated into society, probably speaks Spanish and English equally well, has a piquant sense of humor that the sourpuss progressives frown upon, and is probably politically pretty middle of the road.

Having lived in Latin America for years, and having mostly Hispanic friend my entire adult life, I understand exactly where he is coming from. He’s poking fun, but the humorless prigs on the left (who laugh at the hateful acid pouring out of their ‘comedians’) can’t stand that kind of freelancing.

I more of us were like Antillon, the left would be reduced to a shriveled, thumb-sucking psychotic hugging her knees and rocking in a corner.

Court rules anti-Mohammed film blamed for Benghazi shouldn’t have been forcefully removed from YouTube….remember that lie offered by Rice and Obama?

A federal appeals court handed down a victory to free speech Monday when it ruled the anti-Muslim video the Obama administration blamed for Benghazi should never have been forcibly removed from YouTube.

The full 11-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday overturned a 2-1 decision by three of its judge that ordered YouTube to remove “The Innocence of Muslims,” Fox News reported.

In 2012, the low-budget film inspired riots and demonstrations around the world by Muslims who considered it blasphemous. President Obama asked YouTube to remove the 14-minute video, but the company said it was within its guidelines because the film criticized Islam, not Muslims as a group.

SF – I’m encouraged to read your comments about 2nd generation.

I’ve been waiting for this from someone other than a college student – boy that guy has guts. It’s a variant of conservative campus student groups that hold ‘affirmative action bake sales.’ Fun street theater, selling at the highest price to whites, and the lowest to minorities. Even THESE get criticized. The “humorless prigs on the left” call them tasteless, divisive and hurtful – completely missing the point of their own culpability in doing exactly the same with official campus policies.

The professor at Duke is retiring next year. Probably thought it was ‘safe’ to speak out. Great point. I have many Asian friends just like that. I’ve asked a few over the years about their English names, and they all said “I know Americans can’t pronounce my Chinese name and I want to make it easier for people to work with me.” I have Hong Kong friends who got the dual names at birth, from parents who had the same view of the mixed Chinese-British culture.

Of course, both of these gents are being assailed in the media today … even by David Webb who thinks the rhetoric went too far. This confuses me. Since these are opinions, who is to say that either of them goes to far? Does Webb suggest that Keshena Wilson had her feelings hurt because her name relates absolutely to nothing geographical or historical? So what? The fact is that modern black first names are about as relevant as Kwanzaa, which was entirely made up in 1965 from a Swahili phrase. This makes the puzzle more baffling since American blacks speak Swahili about as well as they do the English language. One can only conclude that somewhere in all this is the handiwork of the whacked out Marion Barry or Al Sharpton, the latter of whom is a reverend in the same way that the Pope is a good Episcopalian. I’ll stop back later in case anyone wants to axe me a question.

  11. If you think about it we also enabled the American Indians by taking care of all their needs. Many do nothing to escape poverty and chose to remain on their reservations. Plus now they also have tribal owned casinos that pay each member from the profits. To that extent they are similar to the Blacks that play the system and do nothing. And like the Blacks, many DO go on to college, get an education, a degree, and become contributing members of society.

    Oh, oh….please, God.

Imp; good video; I wish they’d show it on television, don’t you? But, no…we never get TWO sides to anything. And, you know I agree on cops; yes, some are bad, but most are just plain scared to die leaving a wife and kids and they face death every minute of every hour they’re working…and even more than that.

Today, I met a woman who works for FOX Sports….She’s an Associate Director, signals when ads should start, arranges all that timing stuff on television. I said “Hey, does Fox News own the local FOX stations?” She grimaced almost violently and said “Yes, but I’m EMBARRASSED TO ADMIT ANYTHING TO DO WITH FOX!” Then she answered someone else’s question about FOX and added “.. YES! Rupert Murdoch owns it ALL…makes me crazy!” (she actually messed up her hair with that one…ran her hair through it like a mad woman). I thought “Ya, and it’s putting your kids through college, from what you just told me$$$

You’d all be very proud of me because I actually remained VERY calm and steady and smiled and said (and I know the guy to my right who was listening to all this is a Liberal, too) “you know, you might want to try at least listening to FOX, I’ve always thought it’s very important to actually hear both sides of everything.” Calm…smiling. VERY unlike my normal self on the subject of liberals and FOX 🙂

Everybody; I’ve known Chinese named FLORENCE, HERBERT, HYACINTH, MILDRED…..no offence to anybody here, but VERY old fashioned, VERY VERY traditional American names. We must remember not only were some of their names difficult to say (altho they’re really not when you think about it), their parents loved this country and wanted to FIT IN..to name children VERY AMerican names. Not done anymore, but a whole generation of Chinese had really old fashioned American monikers.

Kid, I FIRMLY believe there IS a solution and that it could even work; if Obama and all the SHarptons and Jesse Jacksons of this country actually talked against unwed parenthood and not going to school and doing drugs and everything else our Black kids are involved with, that COULD make a dent. People they ADMIRE……
And, really, can’t you just name your kid LINDA?

Mustang is right…since when did LAVORIS become a NAME instead of a PRODUCT? (I honestly did hear a Black comedian once talk about Black names and ‘why do they always sound like pharmaceutical products?’…hilarious. And true. Mustang is right..they don’t speak Swahili….why have Swahili names? (IF they’re not just made up)

Fredd’s right…if Black kids today even understood Dr King’s message, REALLY understood it, maybe we’d have a chance, but alas…………it doesn’t do Black leaders a BIT of good to get their children in line. None. They couldn’t bitch, they couldn’t blame, they couldn’t get elected again (Please, God), they couldn’t get rich screwing their own… not good for them

Z, We’ve given them more than they’ve asked for for 5 decades now and the problem only gets worse. And no one who could have a positive effect would do so if their life depended on it. So, this is my basis for saying there is not solution to those people who will not integrate. At this point, they don’t even have the tools if they wanted to. Not educated, raised in a no family gangbang environment. It’s all drugs, rap, guns, and lebron james who walks into a bball game with the hands up don’t shoot lie. It’s a set of micro environments that will never merge with civilized society. And they get further away by the minute. There were tons of black people in Pittsburgh when I was growing up. Not a single one was named keyshawn.

This is a classic “hurting someone the more you try to help”. It’s time to turn off the spigot and when they have to start thinking about when and where their next meal is coming from (I’ve had to) maybe that will get their attention and they’ll ask what do We need to do to make this better. Kid, you are absolutely right. TOTALLY. But I do think that it’s going to take Blacks to talk to their communities and MAYBE SOME would wake up. We all know there are terrific Black kids NOW (there’s one kid who was offered entrance to all the Ivy League schools and MORE…he’s going to Alabama because he got a good scholarship there)…and I know several brainy ones who don’t do drugs, study hard, etc…….. BUT….we all know a HUGE amount of Black kids are lost.

Because of my experiences at the High School (I’d guess the breakdown is 15% Asian, 20% Hispanic, 25% Black, 40% Anglo…maybe a tad more in the black/hispanic category, not sure)…anyway, because of those experiences, I KNOW that ANY kid can turn to doing better…they WANT TO, they WANT people to care, they WANT to feel pride in themselves.
THese punks in Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, etc., they don’t have a CHANCE because they feel NO HOPE and NO SUPPORT…and I don’t mean necessarily financial.

As Middle America rises in rage against “fast track” and the mammoth Obama trade deal known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the Wall Street Journal has located the source of the malady.

    Last Monday’s lead editorial began:

Here we go again. In the 1990s Pat Buchanan launched a civil war within the Republican Party on a platform targeting immigration and trade. Some claimed Pitchfork Pat was the future of the GOP, though in the end he mainly contributed to its presidential defeats.

But, woe is us, “the GOP’s Buchanan wing is making a comeback.”

Now it is true that, while Nixon and Reagan won 49-state landslides and gave the GOP five victories in six presidential contests, the party has fallen upon hard times. Only once since 1988 has a Republican presidential nominee won the popular vote.

But was this caused by following this writer’s counsel? Or by the GOP listening to the deceptions of its Davos–Doha–WSJ wing?

In the 1990s, this writer and allies in both parties fought NAFTA, GATT and MFN for China. The WSJ and GOP establishment ran with Bill and Hillary and globalization. And the fruits of their victory?

Between 2000 and 2010, 55,000 U.S. factories closed and 5 million to 6 million manufacturing jobs disappeared. Columnist Terry Jeffrey writes that, since 1979, the year of maximum U.S. manufacturing employment, “The number of jobs in manufacturing has declined by 7,231,000–or 37 percent.”

Beginning in 1991, traveling the country and visiting plant after plant that was shutting down or moving to Asia or Mexico, some of us warned that this economic treason against America’s workers would bring about political retribution. And so it came to pass.

Since 1988, a free-trade Republican Party has not once won Pennsylvania, Michigan, Illinois or Wisconsin in a presidential election. Ohio, the other great Midwest industrial state, is tipping. The Reagan Democrats are gone. Who cast them aside? You or us?

On immigration, this writer did campaign on securing the border in 1991-92, when there were 3 million illegal immigrants in the United States.

But the Bush Republicans refused to seal the border.

Now there are 11 million to 12 million illegal immigrants and the issue is tearing the party apart. Now everybody is for “secure borders.”

We did urge a “moratorium” on legal immigration, such as America had from 1924 to 1965, to assimilate and Americanize the millions who had come. The WSJ Republicans called that xenophobia.

Since then, tens of millions of immigrants, here legally and illegally, mostly from the Third World, have arrived. Economically, they consume more in tax dollars than they contribute.

Politically, most belong to ethnic groups that vote between 70 and 90 percent Democratic. Their children will bury the GOP.

Consider California, which voted for Nixon all five times he was on a national ticket and for Reagan in landslides all four times he ran.

Since 1988, California has not gone Republican in a single presidential election. No Republican holds statewide office. Both U.S. Senators are Democrats. Democrats have 39 of 53 U.S. House seats. Republican state legislators are outnumbered 2-to-1.

Americans of European descent, who provide the GOP with 90 percent of its presidential vote, are down to 63 percent of the nation and falling.

By 2042, they will be a minority. And there goes the GOP.

The foreign debt and de-industrialization of America, the trillion-dollar wars and the chaos of the Middle East, the shortened life span of the Party of Reagan, that’s your doing, fellas, not ours.
