Tyranny of the Minority….in the bathroom?

So, transgenders can now pick the bathroom of the gender with which they associate now.

transgender 2

That’s that.  Tell anybody who’s not transgender, the HUGE HUGE majority of us who don’t identify as transgender, that your feelings just don’t matter….theirs do.  Yes, millions of you (and I!) are one gender or the other and have been since childhood, but you don’t really matter.   Whether you like it or not, a man or woman of the opposite sex can come in any time, so you need to do anything like straightening your stockings, or whatever men do, in the stall if you want privacy.  Period.

You might not feel worried one way or the other, I’m not sure it bugs me that much, but I’m thinking there will be people who shy away from someone who comes in looking like he/she might be a he/she who doesn’t share your gender.  Gad, it’s tough to even write that sentence everybody is so confused these days.

How do you feel about this?  Does it bother you one way or the other?

It just struck me odd that the ‘tyranny of the minority’ is winning so much these days…..whatever happened to ‘majority rules?’    It sure doesn’t apply anymore.

Is this healthy?   Take another look at the bathroom door image above.  WHAT NEXT?

  1. The bathroom is one battlefield in the larger war.
The war is to shut down Christian activity.
There is only one true approach to God. Jesus Christ.
His representatives are sought to be silenced by the spiritual darkness seeking dominance on this planet.
Sounds weird to the uninformed, but that’s the way it is.

Like everything else, it’s a war for a larger agenda.

DoD could have simply removed homosexual acts from the UCMJ, thereby quietly and definitively decriminalizing homosexual sex, but that wasn’t the goal. The goal was to advance the cause of homosexuality and mainstream it.

Almost everywhere you go now, there are third bathrooms, called family bathrooms or whatever, and they also double as handicap facilities with wider doors, etc. In an undemented society, the 0.05% of people with gender dysphoria would use those facilities, but again, this is about a larger agenda.

And what about the fakers. Are you going to ask someone dressed like a woman to lift her skirt to be sure it’s transgender? Yea, it’s a war and this is but a part of it.

PS, and what about the other 35 or so gender choices listed in facebork ? A separate facility for each of those ?

I certainly do not question the need of a place to pee for a transgender. I simply think that the very notion of someone confused about their gender is pure hogwash. If we continue down this aberrant path, imagine the kind of country we will have in another 100 years.

This is just insane. For one thing, if a man comes in the bathroom while I’m there I’m just gonna assume he’s up to no good and someone is going to the boneyard. And it’s also what Ed Bonderenka said. This is an attack on traditional marriage, normal people and Christianity. Our society is doomed if this continues.

We have way too much government in our lives. I just read that the EPA has determined that aircraft exhaust is harmful to human health. Wow, who knew? So are aircraft crashes … so what is this really all about? I do think that there are some people who think that being a registered democrap entitles them to live forever without pain, sickness, or sadness—but my guess is that this is simply another avenue for increasing revenues from “rich companies.” What does it all mean? Well, if you want to fly on an airplane, look for doubling the cost of airline tickets. Yeah, socialism is great.

    @ Mustang – or a 100 months.

It’s Ed + 1 here. Perfectly said. It’s a battle whose tacts have long been disruption and confusion.

And Kid, remember the woman who complained that a man was using the women’s locker room at her gym? They did nothing about it – actually, they excused it. Because of that she alerted other women on her next visit, and they revoked her membership! And what of the perp who wants to ogle naked women? Oh, we have to understand “her” feelings. More hogwash.

  16. I am not comfortable with a transgender individual sharing the same community restroom that I do — in particular, if the individual hasn’t had the complete surgical change.

I’m also concerned about another category of gender: the category called “gender fluid.”

Yes, gender fluid: Gender Fluid is a gender identity best described as a dynamic mix of boy and girl. A person who is Gender Fluid may always feel like a mix of the two traditional genders, but may feel more boy some days, and more girl other days. Being Gender Fluid has nothing to do with which set of genitalia one has, nor their sexual orientation.

  17. In a comment above, Kid mentioned fakers.

A story from our local news channel today: Peeper in wig spotted in local Wal-Mart ladies room. Excerpt:

A 53-year-old woman reported that she was using the restroom at the Worth Avenue store on May 15 when she witnessed the man enter and proceed to use the mirror to look into the crack of her stall. She confronted the individual, who was decked out in a brown wig, pink shirt, black Capri-style pants, black and neon green shoes, black sunglasses and carrying a large red and black handbag, police said.

  21. As to tyranny of the minority, I repeat my comment of a few days ago:
“People feel like they’re under siege and that the terms of the debate are now you either applaud it or you’re a bigot,” said William Bennett, education secretary in the Reagan administration. “It’s like American culture is being dragged kicking and screaming not only toward acceptance but approval.”

  22. Well, its still about PC, isn’t it? Like the old way of determining which one to use isn’t applicable today. Geeez! I give up! The third type dubbed “family” isn’t a bad idea, though, because if you’ve ever taken care of an adult of the opposite sex while out in public you’d see the advantage.

Late to the discussion (and new to Geeez), but agree completely with Ed’s comment at the top. It’s worth repeating:

Living in a mostly progressive environment, it’s noteworthy that most of the people I talk with are not on board with all of this. They just are too distracted, overwhelmed, or tired to speak up. Remember, this was the case with the majority of Germans when the NSDAP party came in the ’30’s. People don’t have to agree with totalitarianism. They just have to allow it to do its thing for it to triumph.

How many on the left and on the right are just letting it all roll on by? On the other hand, I’m not doing much either…

From a conversation in a NY (?) diner: “Christians need to be restrained. But we still have free speech, so there’s nothing we can do about it now.”

Some of you might remember that when I was on blogger I regularly had 50-100 comments…a few times a year, I’d have up to 600 on some articles….one on Mormons and multimarriage went higher. so I MISS THAT, but not enough to have to read those awful fights we had going in Comments with the liberals. sad.
