Thumbing noses at America…an Iranian specialty

You all understand THIS well, don’t you.  Iran is thumbing its nose at America just at the time that Obama’s managed to squeeze votes out for this hideous nuclear ‘deal.’  Coincidental timing?   (Okay, you can stop laughing now!)

Here’s what happens:  America tries to negotiate with the Muslim mind (Arabs, Iraqis, Iranians, etc….all who are from that general area).   We go in with good precious liberal good intentions….bringing America down just a notch so their Iranian negotiating partners see we’re willing not to be quite the Great America we’ve been  (known as “The Great Satan” in Iranian diplomatic circles); after all, Leftwingers simply can’t take our supremacy and goodness and Obama seems to be the biggest proponent of that line of thinking.  SO, we go in, friendly, smiling, candid, “if we’re nice, they’ll like us and we can DO THIS deal and all’s well with the world…at least until Emperor Obama’s out of office!!”

I know the minds of that region better than a lot of people because of my heritage and because my mother was raised in Istanbul and raised in Cairo.  I’ve known many people from that region (no Muslims,  but plenty of people from the region….who’ve been around Muslims from the region and don’t trust them a minute) My husband had frequent business dealings with Iraqi Muslims and he thought some were very nice but completely untrustworthy….

SO, the Iranians go into those meetings seeing the big smiles, the friendliness, the bowing to them as we shrink in self esteem, and they know that there are people in America who can’t stand Obama and others who can’t get enough of him.   They know the American minds;  they know about Republicans who believe we need to conquer extremists who mean us or the region harm, that we’re smart enough not to believe everything they say, and that we don’t support making friends with them until we can truly trust them, and they know Democrats believe that making friends is all we need to do and “Presto! Instant Peace!!”

We don’t understand their minds.  Heck, for years we taught our spies and soldiers Farsi or Arabic not like they speak on the street but “high Arabic,”  “formal Farsi” that, if you use it, makes people think “Who is THIS?  He’s not one of US!”  How idiotic.

So, through their DISDAIN (it’s disdain for Obama and Kerry, not even hatred), they negotiate….hiding things, massaging the details to look better to the world than they are, believing wholeheartedly that Kerry and Obama will buy their stories hook, line and sinker.

PRIDE IS EVERYTHING TO THEM…we’ve shown none because leftwingers don’t like PRIDE, that’s selfish and unkind to others who haven’t quite the reasons for that pride.  We must be LIKE them, we must be on a level playing field…..The Iranians love that.  Because they know they’ve got the upper hand.  As if we’re on some odd even playing field….imagine?  Obama’s dream:  AN EVEN PLAYING FIELD.

Who believes that Kerry and Obama are watching the political timber in Iran and reacting to it?  Ya, I didn’t see any hands up among my readers so I’m guessing you agree with me…”O”.

Who believes that the Iranians closely watch the input Obama’s getting, the polls about Obama and this deal?   Alright, put your hands down.  You’re right.  They’re watching and playing us like a fine violin.   If what they’re doing in the article I linked doesn’t show that, I’m not here typing this post……

What do you suggest we do?  How should we have gone into those talks?  Would they hate us more if we’d been tougher?  Or respected us more?   Do you think Obama cares that they’re playing him and us for fools?

    Would you rather have Kerry, who knows all the names of all the players, or Trump, who could learn them, negotiate with Iran?

    i’ll take Trump.
    I doubt he’d settle for SOS.

    As for the deal, the ink is not dry and they are threatening UN inspectors.

    Soetoro cannot comprehend the fact that the only thing their mindset respects is superior power, and he continues to diminish not only the prestige but also the strength of the US deterrent. He, an un-American alien, sends in a failed anti-American traitor to negotiate with devious, cagey, experienced deal brokers, hoping that he’ll draw that 5th jack to his inside straight.

    To compound this failure, look at the Senate Majority leadership.
    Mitch McConnell has a 54 seat majority. Ergo, he needs another 13 votes to meet his two-thirds burden for an over-ride of the inevitable veto. A lift, to be sure, but far from an impossibly heavy one. Given the announced support of influential Democratic Senators such as Schumer (next Dem leader-apparent) and Menendez (recent Foreign Relations Committee Chairman), the look of their ‘cover’ votes notwithstanding, he could have mobilized them to help recruit the needed eleven additional votes. For an experienced guy such as McConnell, this is a fully surmountable obstacle!
    Could you imagine the Lyndon Johnson of 1959 failing to get this done?? Not a chance!

    I see only two possibilities. Either McConnell is in fact the chinless weakling that he appears to be or
    there is a well hidden and far more nefarious agenda at work here.
    This makes it clear that Corker did not act in a vacuum.
    I won’t comment on Speaker Boehner other than to say that I am contemplating the founding of a fund to finance a spinal transplant for him. Think Newt.

    Ed; I am SO with you on that….excellent comparison of Kerry and Trump. If we’re to believe Trump (and most anyone who’s had any experience with him), he CAN negotiate, albeit like a pushy egocentric blowhard. I’m starting to like those character traits if they’re on OUR SIDE 🙂 Can’t ya just SEE Trump and the Iranian negotiators?

    This might sound odd, but I just had this feeling that Trump seems to be getting into this more ‘highly conservative’ frame of mind from his followers, the crowds at his gatherings. I’ve had this sense that he’s admiring them very much, in spite of his ego, and their values…..I could be ALL WET on this, but I think the people are beginning to rub off on Trump. That make sense? I hope I’m right..
    I so wish I hadn’t realized that interview with Hewitt was ‘going there’ because I did hear Trump and Hewitt but then drove into my parking structure and turned it off……I was home. I have zero problem with the fact that he might have confused Quds with Kurds and didn’t know certain leaders. He needs to pick an EXCELLENT person to be Sec of Defense and Sec of State who does know and who teachers him……..he’s not a slow learner.

    I have never understood negotiation of the type that our liberal friends espouse. They seem to take the stand that 1) we need to make major concessions before negotiations begin to show our poor, ignorant adversaries that we are “serious”; and 2), given #1, after this defensive technique by the strongest country in the world, liberals are happy with any deal and will trumpet it as a success, no matter how many people are killed as a result of the deal.

    Their strategy is simple. No matter how bad things are, just declare victory and count the votes.

    BTW, my new bumper sticker suggestion is:

    “Hillary in a Blanket. Nobody cares!”

We’ve answered it countless times, most of which ended with reference to the second amendment and that remarkably clear part of the Declaration which states “whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.”

    And generally the string ends with an exhortation to oil up Sgt. Ruger and Major Mossberg and Captains Glock, Smith, and Wesson.

    Yes, STRENGTH is the only bargaining chip they understand. That’s generally true in all negotiations, even benign ones that aren’t done by “devious, cagey, experienced deal brokers” whose religion sanctions lies for power.

    We must beware of giving ruthlessness an excuse. It has does NOT have root causes – not poverty, illiteracy, or a particular religion. It is a technique for getting power. “To mistake ruthlessness for desperation is a fundamental error of those whose sympathies are unclouded by judgment.” Like our ‘leaders’ in Washington.     Iran/islam/moslems are bullies. There is only one successful way to deal with bullies and that is to make them pay a price they are unwilling to pay everytime they do something unacceptable. It’s simple. When they talk about Israel being a stinking corpse, you apply more sanctions, not negotiate fewer. When they fire up the centrifuges, you bomb them back to the stone age.
    It’s simple.

    Perspective: Reagan openly called The USSR the Evil Empire. oBAMa bows to Iran and let’s them have everything and anyhgint they want and doesn’t even negotiate the release of 4 Americans who can’t be more important to Iran than a toothless flea on a elephants ass.

    How many times has Iran gone and provide drelief efforts to some natural calamity like an Earthquake or Tsunami? What sort of human relief effort does Iran provide that the USA provides in countless situations.

    I sure wish I was in the White House. Like JFK talking to Kruschev, you’d see my smiling ugly puss on TV telling Iran in very specific terms that before they ask for equal consideratiuon they need to show the wolrd what they’ve given the world. What they’ve contributed. Because they’ve given Nothing. They’ve contributed Nothing.

    Here we are in a world of diminishing resources (supply) and increasing population (demand) and I’m saying we don’t havbe time for a bunch of assholes like.what populates the middele east.
    We don’t have time for it and we may not even have a survival ability for it.
    If we’re going to make good things happen on a global scale, it’s not carbon we need to be focused on, it is assholes like what populates the entire middle east.
