money or vote

and, by the way…how’s THIS?

AND, Check THIS OUT from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. It came to a Republican friend of mine and this echoes what we all were talking about on my Matt Biven post two posts down!  They’re worried…that’s a VERY GOOD THING!:

Barbara — We’re alarmed. Right-wing wins in state and local elections on Tuesday should be a HUGE wake-up call for Democrats like you. Why?

  1. Look at Kentucky, where an extreme far-right governor won a low-turnout race. He’s pledged to completely dismantle Kentucky’s nationally acclaimed health care exchange and Medicaid expansion — threatening the health care of 400,000 people!
  2. If it can happen in Kentucky, it can happen nationwide. If Democrats dismiss Donald Trump and Ben Carson as “too crazy” to win and check out of the election, the GOP will sneak into the White House and Senate and wreak havoc! Obamacare? Gone. Medicare and Social Security as we know them? ENDED.
  3. The lesson here? Democrats CANNOT be complacent. We must FIGHT for our values — starting NOW.

That’s why we’re asking you to recommit yourself, Barbara. Will you pitch in right now to get strong Democrats into the White House and Senate and keep far-right Republicans OUT?

Don’t hold your breath for a conservative landslide. The entrenched leftistas will vote against whomever the GOP pits ‘gainst ’em. It’s automatic, Pavlovian, knee-jerky.

As with most elections, the outcome will be determined by such uncontrollable factors as weather, breakfast, marital relations, gambling debts, and the last song the voter heard on his car radio before going into the precinct.

Roughly 45% will vote D and 45% will vote R, regardless of who’s on the ticket. Why? ‘Cause that’s the way Daddy did it, or Mama, or Professor Shtuppnagel. And you can bet the deed to the ranch that virtually all those who are completely or mostly dependent upon gubmint subsidies for their gedæghwamlican hlaf will vote AGAINST any Republican.

And forget ye not, boyez und gurulls, the GOP has a remarkable knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory with such professional losers as Senilator McStain and Mittens.

I’d consider a landslide (or mandate if you prefer) a GOP PotUS with a 250 House and 62 Senate . . . not entirely unachievable, but nothing I’d bet more than a ticket to last year’s SuperBowl on.

A safer bet might be that the GOP will manage to screw it up again.

  2. ” We must FIGHT for our values — starting NOW.”
Important values, like giving nukes to Iran, threatening pizza shops and cake bakers, giving guys access to high school girl’s showers.
    You know.
    Important stuff.

Ed, that exact phrase stuck out to me, too! “WHAT VALUES?” And you enumerated some of them beautifully!

Bocopro…I so seldom feel optimistic anymore that I will not have you here throwing cold water on us when we actually ARE 🙂 But you’re probably right!!!!
But seriously, the Republicans did almost a sweep again in this week’s elections but it’s not being touted, OF COURSE…….
The big problem is THE FREE GOODIES the Left promises; hard for libs to pass those up!

I just have to add that when a guy as outspoken and conservative as Bevin wins by a pretty large margin, with a Black female Republican AG also winning, this is a good thing. No, a GREAT THING!

The bum looks like Bill Clinton!

Like I keep sayin’, folks, we are gonna win………BIG time!

    The next election:

    Blue states are Blue,
    Red states are Red,
Purple states will carry the ball,
or drop it on the two yard line.

Great cartoons. I hope the electorate agrees — if they’re still capable of anything approaching independent thought.

  9. geeez2014 says:

SF! gad, he really DOES! Good catch!

Mal, you have been right so far 🙂

Kid, you couldn’t have put it together better…BRILLIANT, actually. NO FUMBLES, please!

    Baysider; a woman of optimism!!

  10. geeez2014 says:

Here’s a headline I just saw: “Now a front-runner, Carson faces scrutiny that comes with it”

Did anybody ever see a headline like that for Obama? (ya, right!!)

  11. Mal says:

Its those in the minority that make the biggest noise. Hence, “The Silent Majority”. This is also why we see God slowly being “outlawed” our society despite almost 90% of us believing in Him.

We knuckle draggers are on the move!! We have the Progressives doing the you know what.
