Planned Parenthood Toxicity…….

I read the piece in italics below HERE, and saw it in many other places, and it really got me wondering, particularly when Howie Kurtz on MediaBuzz repeated the rhetoric yesterday:

“While many Republican presidential candidates have condemned the shooting at a ColoradoPlanned Parenthood clinic, Planned Parenthood today accused some of those same GOP candidates of contributing to the creation of a “toxic environment” that provoked the attack.

“It is offensive and outrageous that some politicians are now claiming this tragedy has nothing to do with the toxic environment they helped create,” Planned Parenthood Executive Vice President Dawn Laguens said in a statement released today.

Laguens singles out Donald Trump and Carly Fiorina by name, accusing them of “using this tragedy to repeat false claims about Planned Parenthood,” and says it’s not enough to denounce the tragedy without also stopping their rhetoric against the organization.

“One of the lessons of this awful tragedy is that words matter, and hateful rhetoric fuels violence,” Laguens said. “It’s not enough to denounce the tragedy without also denouncing the poisonous rhetoric that fueled it. Instead, some politicians are continuing to stoke it, which is unconscionable.””

Z:   See, the problem with the rhetoric is that it’s true.  There is no “toxic environment,” in my opinion, that Planned Parenthood hasn’t created itself. How much more ‘toxic’ can you get than being an apparently for-profit abortion mill that tax payers hugely against abortion are helping support?   How much more toxic can it get to repeat that you’re doing mammograms when many PP clinics haven’t the equipment?  How much more “toxic” can it be to continually lie?

I was about to link the many videos showing various Planned Parenthood representatives sipping wine and talking about harvesting babies for parts, describing how they do it gingerly so’s not to destroy any parts that get a high price, etc.    I don’t think I need to as the whole country’s seen those.   Yet, it’s the Republicans who created a toxic environment?

Tell me your thoughts;   I believe this is one of the most telling, most insidious yet most obvious media/liberal lies going.   Even leftwing commenters at our blogs are still saying “the videos were edited” when it’s pretty tough to edit one sentence after another which isn’t only audio but VISUAL…an arm bringing a wine glass to one’s lips can’t be cut and pasted or it looks jerky…audio’s easy to edit; visual is not…it’s ridiculous to even suggest it, actually, but, somehow, it works with liberals and other uninformed folks.

Yet, I’ve barely seen an article like mine asking how anybody could get away with blaming Republicans for a ‘toxic environment’ when all they’ve done is tell the truth.  Actually, I’ve never seen an article like that but I assume they exist somewhere on the Conservative, truthful blogosphere?

Just saw this so I thought I’d add it to the post:   Look at THIS WRITER’S TAKE on this situation with Planned Parenthood….“Others, however, sought to draw a connection between the fiery language used against Planned Parenthood and the potential for violence.”    “Fiery language”???   Exposing killing babies for parts for sale is “fiery language?”  The article is quite a piece of bias….amazing.  We can’t say we think that’s wrong without causing VIOLENCE?  Now we can’t speak up at ALL?  What is WRONG to expose something half of America doesn’t approve of?  MORE than half, lots of Democrats aren’t pro choice, either….Catholics, in particular…

I think this story, that the media and the rest of the Dems think it’s “toxic” and “fiery” that caused a mad man to kill innocent people is astonishing….that it’s “toxic” and “fiery” to tell the truth is even worse.

Thoughts?

My take on the abortion issue chasm separating many reasonable people from many other reasonable ones is complex and unpopular, so I won’t express it except to say that I can’t see how a foetus becomes human the instant it takes a breath outside the womb and utters its first expression of shock when less than one minute earlier it was simply a blob of tissue.

As for governmental interference in the issue, that’s the problem, IMO: without government funding, nature would tend to run its course as it always has. Yes, of course there would be “back-alley quacks” with coathangers killing people. But that’s happening now, and the government is paying them. Take the money away, or use it more productively.

“How?” you say . . . . Well, how about tubal ligations for never-married, unemployed women on welfare and food stamps with two or more children by different fathers ? Why would that be any more unpalatable than killing people who haven’t yet had opportunity to draw that first breath?

To me, if a promiscuous woman already has children she can’t feed and finds herself about to produce still another one, SHE’s the problem, not the person performing the procedure to relieve her of the problem. Most of her progeny will live lives of deprivation culminating in death, disease, drugs, or other disasters. I just can’t see how a life of crime in a ghetto with no way out is worth living.

See . . . toldja it’d be unpopular. But my point is that we will NEVER resolve this abortion issue. Ain’t gonna happen, folks, any more than bad things will stop happening to good people in floods, fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, and radical Islamic terrorism. Sometimes stuff just happens, and Grieftbusters just aren’t available when you need ’em.

I say let’s get the federal gummint out of people’s everyday lives and back on the job it’s supposed to do: protect the nation, regulate interstate commerce, deal with other countries, and leave everything else up to the states. And while we’re at it, let’s turn off the ads for fast food on TV and slick-paper magazines for about 2 years and watch the obesity/diabetes/heart disease problem dry up.

    O.K. Rant over.

Sounds like the Liberals need to crawl back into their Safe Spaces…

  4. The Left is absolutely rabid about excoriating the First Amendment so that only the Left’s narrative will be heard and disseminated.

  5. Bocopro,
how about tubal ligations for never-married, unemployed women on welfare and food stamps with two or more children by different fathers ? Why would that be any more unpalatable than killing people who haven’t yet had opportunity to draw that first breath?

I favor forced tubal ligations under those circumstances.

    Why?

Because of something that happened in my family.

After their own two children were well-nigh grown and out of the nest, my cousin and her husband took in five boarder babies, at least two of whom were given birth to by a drug-addicted mother who had child after child for the purposes of collecting welfare to fund her drug habit. This kind of despicable situation is not uncommon — even out here in the prosperous D.C. suburbs. And, for the record, I’m not speaking here of black or ghetto babies. I’m speaking of “white bread.”

I don’t know how many children that drug-addicted mother had before she finally killed herself with a needle stuck in a vein. Five or seven children in all, I think. All on the taxpayers’ backs one way or another — and all with serious health and learning issues.

BTW, one of those boarder babies whom my cousin and her husband formally adopted those five children. One was too badly brain damaged to lead a decent life: fetal alcohol effect combined with born-addicted; she has now been formally emancipated and continues on in her biological mother’s tradition.

“How much more ‘toxic’ can you get than being an apparently for-profit abortion mill that tax payers hugely against abortion are helping support?”

    Amen, sister!

As Fredd said, abortion supporters cannot face up to what they support, so they couch it all in squishy language and then come unglued when confronted with the cold, abhorrent reality and people talking about it using frank grownup talk.

  7. geeez2014 says:

And they STILL say the PP videos were tampered with to twist the evidence. Anybody ever try to tamper with video? Audio, yes, easy to edit…audio WITH video? LIke a woman lifting a glass to her lips as she speaks? Cut the audio out and the video shows her herky-jerky somehow getting a glass to her lips. And liberals STILL insist the videos were tampered with 🙂 You can’t teach them, I guess?

bocopro…not sure why any of that should be ‘unpopular’….And I’ve often stated exactly what you said “How is a fetus a NOTHING in the womb and, the SECOND it pops out, it’s HUMAN” And, if it’s a nothing in the womb, then why call emergency equipment and doctors if a delivery’s going bad? And why do we charge a murderer with 2 murders when a pregnant mother’s shot and her child dies, too, if the child isn’t a human being in utero?
    But we digress…

What bugs me the MOST is this horrible lie of the leftist media and all their TV pals…..TOXIC ENVIRONMENT? By saying we feel harvesting body parts is bad, WE are the toxic ones?

I’m all for stem cell research, but not INFANT stem cell research…BIG difference, and another lie of the left, by the way…they won’t admit Republicans do agree with stem cell research of any kind….but prefer the one with the most proven success.

    fredd…you’re so right.

AOW…that’s a terrible story; and it’s repeated every day across our nation….

  8. geeez2014 says:

FJ….I’m going to substitute teach today and have to get going…will look at your “SAFE PLACE” later. thanks

“You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”

  10. Mustang says:
My guess is that Laguens was reading from a carefully prepared talking paper. I make this claim based on the fact that the Colorado State Director for Planned Parenthood used the exact same words in her statement, and then I heard those same words and phrases again from a “democratic strategist” during her debate on cable news. I agree with AOW … the leftist argument is incredible —designed to shut down any public proclamation of our revulsion of this corporate entity dismembering aborted children for profit. Debbie Wasserman Awful also demanded that GOP candidates join with her in condemning the shooter even before we learned his name. I notice some chatter that Robert Lewis Dear registered to vote as an unaffiliated female … which means that he has a lot more in common with Debbie Wasserman Awful than he does any GOP Candidate.
  11. Baysider says:

You’re doing the act, and we turned on the lights — and somehow it’s our fault? Seems like this could be stopped – ahem! – farther upstream.

  12. Baysider says:

A brief digression. It makes me think of this old joke:
A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him, “Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don’t know where I am.”

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, “You’re in a hot air balloon approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.”

She rolled her eyes and said, “You must be a Republican.”

“I am,” replied the man. “How did you know?”

“Well,” answered the balloonist, “everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to make of your information, and I’m still lost. Frankly, you’ve not been much help to me.”

The man smiled and responded, “You must be a Democrat.”

“I am,” replied the balloonist. “But how did you know?”

“Well,” said the man, “You don’t know where you are or where you’re going. You’ve risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air. You’ve made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and now you expect ME to solve your problem. You’re in EXACTLY the same position you were in before we met, but somehow, now, it’s MY fault.

  13. Mal says:

Nothin’ new here! The Left always twists the truth. They’re actually getting known for doing it and, more and more, are being ignored for it. Want proof? Fox T.V. channels are being watched by more than ALL THE OTHERS……….COMBINED!

  14. -FJ says:

Creating a “toxic environment” against “toxic environments” is the latest cause du jour for the Safe Space inclined!

  15. Mal says:

Hey Bocopro: Your statements also begs an answer to WHEN the Spirit (from the Trinity) enters the being. At CONCEPTION? At some point DURING the 9 months? At BIRTH? We all have our theories but none can be proven for certain, right?

  16. bocopro says:

No, none are provable scientifically or empirically, but IMO the instant of ovum penetration and merging of the DNA strands initiates human life as differentiated from all other types.

IOW, life begins even before the zygote implants on the wall, or the tube, whichever it chooses. Ma Nature is pretty experienced in quality control and rejecting those which would be grossly malformed or whatever.

Once I wrote a lengthy discussion on the soul, one paragraph of which says this (which fits nicely here):
    From a Japanese folk tale:

During the act of sex, at the very moment of union, a strange and undetectable force enters the woman. She wraps it and protects it with her body, giving it all the materials it needs for survival in the world, the minerals and nutrients which will allow it to grow and take shape. Nine months later, a new life joins the community of man. This process is very much like the development of a pearl, and for a perfect pearl to result, the conditions must be be perfect. One of those conditions is adversity. All pearls have beauty, but some grow in more favorable conditions and have more inner beauty than others.”
    * * * * * *

That “strange and undetectable force” pretty much summed it up for me. I suspect many other totally unrelated cultures have similar explanations for transferring the essence from the Guf or wherever to whatever region it resides while in this plane of existence. The piece I ginned up has several other concepts, but that one is spot on as I understand the un-understandable.

  17. geeez2014 says:

    JMB…Perfect connection to this situation…

Mustang; the left is brilliant; we’ve got to hand it them…but when you own the media, I guess that’s pretty easy, come to think of it.
There are a lot of terms in various Dems’ mouths now….LOTS of memes that make us all realize they’re from the TALKING POINTS and probably from Valerie Jarrett…

Baysider, turning on the lights is apparently just plain NOT ALLOWED. And yes, that joke is a very good one…Somehow it’s OUR fault, isn’t it…. The IRS screws conservative and it’s our fault for mentioning it…etc etc

Mal; I’ll feel better when FOX’s demographic is a little younger! And, yes, nobody knows when that fetus is human…but I wouldn’t ask an agnostic like bocopro you question 🙂

    FJ…excellent post. (great minds)

  18. bocopro says:

Not sure I’m truly agnostic. I simply don’t know the answers and make no claim to be an authority on it all. Some force obviously set this all in motion, and there IS a rather spectacular order and beauty to it which rather denies mere chance.

I just don’t see how one group is right and another is wrong, so I joined none. Forced to do so, I’d likely go somewhere along the path of Buddha’s concept of doing what gives me pleasure and satisfaction so long as it doesn’t interfere with anyone else’s freedom to do what gives him pleasure and satisfaction.

And that sounds remarkably like Christ’s message in the Beatitudes, specifically the idea of treating others as you’d like them to treat you.

Again, I’d much prefer to live in a society influenced by moderate Christianity than one guided by belief in nothing other than self or hard science. And I can enjoy a good movie even though I might not much care for the screenwriter, the director, and the producer.

  19. Sparky says:

I think it would be a feather in my cap to be called names by the devil (Planned Parenthood). Sticks and stones may break my bones, but at least I don’t have blood of innocent millions on my hands!!

  20. Mal says:

I agree with everything you described, Bocopro, as to when life actually begins, but pertaining to the Spirit…………..that’s the point. Most Christians want to believe its at conception, but that doesn’t mean it actually is. Maybe one day we’ll find out……..after we get “beamed up, Scotty”

  21. geeez2014 says:

Hi, boco…that isn’t the most important message of Jesus, but it certainly is one. The most important, if one believes in Him, has eternal repercussions. But, obviously, it’s up to us to make the choice. Wrong or right. “So THERE!”

As Mal says, maybe one day we’ll find out for sure. My own wonderful pastor on Sunday talked about when we see Jesus and jokingly said “the first thing I’ll think is ‘Whew! it’s TRUE'” I’m still laughing about that one! But that is the sentiment of a lot of us believers, I’m sure.

    Sparky, well said!!

  22. Lisa says:

Why is it someone said the shooter said no more body parts yet they aren’t saying who heard him say it? We still don’t know his motivation, but we do know he is crazy.
Remember we were also told that MB had his hands up and said don’t shoot
and how 10 minutes after Gabby Giffords was shot, Anderson Cooper was blaming
    Sarah Palin.
Maybe it’s the leftwingers who are creating this toxic enviroment.

  23. geeez2014 says:

Lisa….I believe so. And I’m getting REAL TIRED of our being blamed for all the hideous stuff that’s going down in America….it’s just so foolish but they play a better game than we do and they’ve poisoned our kids in school. Let’s face it.

Gad, I sub’d today at a high school and you should have HEARD THE UTTER CRAP I sat and listened to during Advisory Class……..the OLD hackneyed Anti-Reagan stuff coming from 15 year olds who don’t have a CLUE except what their lib parents have told them….pro Sanders, hate Trump and mock him (which I can’t really blame), etc etc….I’m telling you 3 of them talked for an HOUR about this stuff….I’d have joined in for a teaching moment because the 2 boys are open and adorable but the girl is RABID even at 15 and not even worth the conversation…I’ve heard her on feminism and you’d laugh your head off. Poor kid…I don’t know where she’s got the kool Aid from but she’s drunken GALLONS at her young age.

  24. geeez2014 says:

Lisa! What a pleasure to read your excellent post, admire your masthead cartoon (as usual) and then comment without having to read the ridiculous, rabid leftwingers you get there…..hurrah! I beat them to it; they’ll tear me apart, and I can’t WAIT! 🙂 Anything not to have to read their utter BS!

  25. Baysider says:

I think they said this wrong above. How about: we “draw a connection between the fiery language used against [Ferguson Police] and the potential for violence.”

I recall a LOT of irresponsible language from the president, attorney general, democratic party leaders and all the media. Irresponsible because they repeated lies that they by then knew were lies. “Hands up, don’t shoot” e.g. “If I had a son he would look like Trayvon.’ etc. So a disaffected black man takes all this kind of irresponsible talk to heart and murders a white TV newscaster on camera.

  26. Lisa says:

Oh God Z , I can’t believe how kids are being poisoned by the anti republican rhetoric. Glad you liked it and got there first Z.

  27. geeez2014 says:

Baysider, you are SO RIGHT…TALK about FIERY LANGUAGE…well said, my friend.

Lisa…me, too! Honestly, if I didn’t know you were busy, I’d be asking you to let me know when you’re posting! 🙂 HA!!! thanks!

  28. Lisa says:

I haven’t posted in awhile but I will try to remember. Either way as predicted they are out in full force, lol

  29. geeez2014 says:

I don’t look ….. I came, I saw, I conquered! They can call me any name in the book and I’m happy with that 🙂 Sometimes being right and truthful is better than being KING! 🙂
