Chompsky on TRUMP.

Can’t wait to hear what you think about some of his details.

On one aspect, I do believe he’s right, and you might, too.  (HELP!!!)

Our ol’ buddy Noam and the editors at the HuffPo can always be counted on to get their analysis completely and totally incorrect. I could hardly complete that article, as every damn conclusion of his throughout this article was based purely on left wing nut job moonbat ideology. ‘Drunk, racist white guys with bad livers are the reason The Donald is doing so well.’ Or words to that effect.

If all of that is true, this country is heading off the cliff tomorrow. Or maybe this afternoon.

  3. Sorry, but I can’t give much credence to anything that Chomsky spews. Furthermore, he certainly wouldn’t blame the Progressive agenda for the roiling anger out there among the electorate.

Chomsky is so far left that he makes Bernie Sanders look conservative. He’s basically anti-anything American, believing (much as does Soetoro) that the US is the primary source of conflict in the world.

He seems to be an equal-opportunity critic, tho, despising nearly everyone equally. As for philosophers in general, while teaching at the university, I loved to spend my lunch hours either listening to or arguing with the guys in the Religion & Philosophy Department. If they were all busy, I’d read the cartoons and aphorisms they pinned on their doors, one of which read,

First Law of Philosophy: For every philosopher there is an equal and opposite philosopher.
Second Law of Philosophy: They’re both full of s___.

Since I originally intended to pursue the doctorate in Linguistics, I naturally had to read a lot of Chomsky’s stuff . . . and his work in that field is inarguably first-rate stuff. Otherwise, to quote Vonnegut (from Cat’s Cradle — Book of Bokonon):

If you want to examine a Granfalloon
Just remove the skin of a toy balloon.

I said in my post that ONE ASPECT of Chomsky’s rant was true…and Ed mentions it here.
MANY White men and women ARE angry and fearful and Trump’s playing to that BIG TIME. BIG BIG TIME. NO doubt about it at all.

Mustang…like Black Lives Matter angry? When I first read your comment I thought “Blacks angry at Obama?” And thought you meant for the reasons we are….but when I read it again, I figured you mean anger like BLM….Or PLEASE TELL ME you’ve heard ‘normal’ Black Americans (not the radicals is what I mean) are also voicing their frustrations with the things WE are with Obama?

bocopro; He IS anti American, yet he’ll deny that to his death “I was in the armed forces..” blah blah blah.

FJ…it’s laughable to see Bernie wanting to squeeeze all he can out of the rich who pay a HUGE majority of the taxes running this country anyway.

AOW….Yes, he IS right on the anger and fears Trump’s playing to. That’s ALL he’s right on, but he’s right there.
And, of course, I’m sure that’s the right thing to be playing to but he plays on it so hatefully and makes his crowds look like babies in their crib grabbing for Mommy, honestly.

    fredd..it is this afternoon.

Hillary was interrupted in a small fund raiser the other night when a Black Lives Matter young woman kept pressing her and pressing her and demanding she admit she was wrong….did you see the two men GENTLY coaxing this girl away…Oh, so gently. Any other time, she’d be grabbed and carried out if necessary, but OH, no…we have to be OH, so gentle now. THEY win. And they know it. And THAT’s what’s happening in a nutshell…a small metaphor for what’s happening.

You want our opinion? Okay. Here is mine. Why on earth do we even care what any liberals think? My take is they are desperate and dreaming up theories as to why Trump’s popularity continues to grow, despite all the negatives he creates for himself or by others so they belittle us as being uneducated, desperate white racists, etc. Give me a break!

Here’s how some liberals treat our Marines and those who dare speak out about Killary in South Carolina.

You go to a Republican rally, tell it like it is, the crowd erupts in applause for the Marine and says ‘thank you for your service this is fantastic,’ instead silence, crickets (at the Clinton rally).”

“It shows you we’ve got two very different electorates that look very differently towards that service.”

Mal, you ask “Why on earth do we even care what any liberals think?”
Because we’ve fallen asleep at the wheel in education while they’re at the wheel speeding along, indoctrinating. BIG TIME. Or there’d never BE a Bernie Sanders….sad, isn’t it?

Imp. there was a Cal State Los Angeles (college) gathering Thursday night, where a Conservative morning talk show guy, and editor of Breibart, Ben Shapiro, had been invited to speak. He was uninvited the night before …but he went at the bequest of a few Cons. students…professors literally said they’re wrestle down any student who attended…professors forbade the kids to go, spoke terribly of him, etc.He spoke, even through the catcalls and screaming.

There IS no “Telling it like it is” in this liberal world anymore….As I saw a terrific ‘poster’ on a blog today which said “IGNORANCE IS NOT AN OPINION” Today, it IS.

So, when Huffpo runs an article on Hillary will they append it with this editor’s note? Hillary Clinton is a serial liar, misogynist [remember her attitude toward Bill’s victims?] and rmisanthropic bully who loathes freedom. Yeah, I wouldn’t hold my breath either.

I think he’s struck a chord with the ‘hope.’ “Even among poor working people and the unemployed, there was a sense of hope that is lacking now.” I’ve been saying that Trump is the Republican Obama. He strikes a powerful chord to CHANGE the insanity, and everyone HOPES it’s what they want.

Well, of course it’s about CHANGE…and HOPE…..Trump’s all about the same thing Obama was.
As I’ve said many times here and elsewhere, “If it wasn’t for Obama, we’d not NEED this much change and hope from any candidate…people are desperate because of Obama”
We can blame Obama for Trump, absolutely.

Now, nothing’s wrong with CHANGE and HOPE….our country can use change to get us back to the Constitution, to get the gov’t out of our hair, etc etc…it can use HOPE, God only knows! On about everything.

But, like Obama, we’re not hearing much that’s DO-ABLE….
Build a wall and have MX pay? Never happen.
Fix Obamacare? Trump isn’t too much details.
Respect the First amendment? .from the guy who threatens to sue Cruz for being “mean” to him?
    etc etc

Hope? Oh, if ONLY we could HOPE that Trump will start giving details and stop insulting the ears of other candidates, the bathroom habits of Hillary, his TERRIBLE personality and the talk which reveals it…….that is SCARY.

Here’s what I’d love to hear from Trump “I’ve sounded thin skinned in the past, I’ve sounded nasty and my words have been hard to hear, I know that, but I had to make a point with a more blustering personality that’s really mine. Now that I have your attention, I’m hereby stopping the personal insults and concentrating on FIXING OUR COUNTRY and what that will entail. I’m hoping the other candidates join me in this.”

I don’t agree with him. I would have liked to have seen xx in 100,000 white dying sooner versus xx in 100,000 other races or categories. if it’s an absolute number of white then yes, since they are the current majority the numbers would have to be higher. If you watch First 48 and know what goes on in the democrat baby machine making areas, I believe many more blacks are dying of those things like murder, sucide, drugs, etc.

But I don’t agree with the fear statement that gives us Don Trump either. Maybe some fear for future descendents resides in those of us who can see what is coming, but in the here and now and Trump it is all anger. Anger at obama and everyone in his pathetic America hating adminstration. Anger at the moron herd that voted him in the 2nd time for sure. Anger at the clown show that is the repubblekin party. Anger that the dumbest most evil POSs have risen to the top. Makes me almost want to turn in my human card and beam up somewhere.

I wish it wasn’t, too. Also, brought up his saying about making Mexico pay for the wall as so many others keep doing (and Vicente Fox completely denied would happen) but they WOULD be paying for it if they lose the tax revenue from the businesses that would move back here. Get it? I don’t believe he makes that clear when he says it.
