Marines; BE SENSITIVE!!

marines sensitivity

Our Marines are facing a LOT…..thoughts?

From the linked article:

“Two years ago I (author Todd Starnes) uncovered a 600-page manual used by the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute. The manual teaches that “healthy, white, heterosexual, Christian” men hold an unfair advantage over other races.”

“Simply put, a healthy, white, heterosexual, Christian male receives many unearned advantages of social privilege, whereas a black, homosexual, atheist female in poor health receives many unearned disadvantages of social privilege,” reads a statement in the manual.”

So, it’s MANDATORY SENSITIVITY TRAINING FOR THE MARINES, and here is a bit more from the linked article:

“So what kind of agenda items can Marines expect to discuss during their sensitivity training sessions?  Col. Anne Weinberg described one of the potential questions to Military.com reporters.  “You’re in the field, you only have this certain amount of space for billeting and you’ve got three women and six guys. How are you going to billet?” she asked.”

What would YOU do?  And how would sensitivity training create one billet for females and one for males?   Hmmm??

Z, what about the Transexuals? I think you need at least three personal spaces.

What possibly go wrong. That said, how many men will be charged with rape?

The question is absurd and reflects how little Colonel Weinberg knows about life in the field. First, if the question were at all relevant, it would be posed to the squad leader, not the assistant automatic rifleman. The Marines will set in where the squad leader tells them. They’ll dig a defensive perimeter, the Marines will sleep or remain on watch, and any “billet” will exist within the framework of their fire team. No, the problem Weinberg should be addressing is this: how will the second fire team leader deal with PFC Jones’ debilitating case of diarrhea?

What Mustang said. If it is squad of however many, they sure as hell won’t all be sleeping at once. You hot bunk, or you crowd in, whatever, I’ve slept with 5 other guys in a 6-pack, slept under trucks, slept in Gomer Pyle style Quonset huts with men and women… There used to not be hangups about these things…

I’ve said it before but I’ll get up on my soapbox again. The military is going down a very bad road. The uniformed services need to pattern it after the Marines: Every person a rifleman. Many “military” jobs should actually be civil service or contracted out.

We need to get back to a lean, mean uniformed fighting force and drop all the social experiment BS.

Of course, I saw that the women on my team (USAF) got their own hotel room.

Ed, That’s how you do it on a normal TDY, but there are no hotel rooms out in the field.

BTW, if Hillary becomes president, this idiocy will accelerate and out military will be no more capable that the average Eurpean nation’s, which have turned their military into a politically-correct jobs program.

We’ve been on that track for a long time, when you see overweight men and women who look like little camouflage puffballs rolling around. Presents a very poor image to the nation and the world.

If we must have donut-fed satallite operators and administrative support personnel, make them civil service.

Ryan Smith did an excellent job covering this travesty in the Wall Street Journal … January 2013. No one is listening because rather than pursuing national defense, the dimwits are pursuing a social agenda.

What you all say is spot on and should change if one of those on the GOP wins the election. Its inane what our service personnel are subjected to in today’s military. I feel strongly either Trump or Cruz will puts us back on track.
As for the clip Ed posted “It happened one night”, I remember the movie! The title, anyway. I turned 6 that year (1934).

Yes, this is all about SOCIAL AGENDA….nothing to do with our safety, the safety of our military, the common SENSE of our military, doing the right thing.

How many years ago was it that we said “doing the right thing” and leftwingers asked “and what IS that and who are you to make that call?”
That’s the day America died, I believed.

I, myself, said something once that was pretty commonplace, maybe like children being born to two married parents? I remember it was that kind of social norm, and Ducky responded with “And who are YOU to say that’s what should be?”
I remember being stunned and thinking “The world’s upside down….will it ever tilt back?”

    GOOD NEWS:

I spoke to the checkout clerk at the grocery store today and as he checked out my stuff, we talked and he said “Here at Ralph’s, we get paid by how hard we work, not a minimum wage…if we get the huge bump in min wage that the gov’t wants, we won’t be able to pay for anything because prices will go too high”.
I wanted to jump over the counter and HUG HIM!! 🙂 “we are rewarded for HOW HARD WE WORK” I whispered “I think you’re a conservative!” And he said “I am on some things!”

    Hurrah!

I love IT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT and well remember that scene (having seen it probably 50 times in my life)….
It’d be so old fashioned today, wouldn’t it. “why aren’t they just sleeping together? they just met, why not?” I’d hear an 18 yr old say today.

Claudette Colbert was one of my favorite actresses and who didn’t swoon over Gable? Mad cap heiress meets a heartthrob. What a great idea for a movie. I may be wrong, but didn’t this movie sweep the oscars in the same way that Silence of the Lambs did? Different movies for different times, eh?

Ed: Sorry about that. Back in the 80’s not much of the Air Force deployed to the field very often, so I thought you were being serious.

Mal, President Coolidge… Mind-blowing to imagine all you have seen…

cube; NOBODY didn’t swoon over Gable…and Colbert was terrific, yes.
And I am sure that film did very well in the Oscars…it deserved to.
