CNN’s Political Editor;

How little can you know about politics before you make the dumb statement below like CNN’s Chief Political Editor did yesterday regarding Boehner’s insult to Cruz?:

“If Cruz had actually apologized for how he acted in the senate that ticked Boehner and friends off so badly, he’d have had a chance to become the Republican nominee.”

Think about that;  Does anybody think we’d have ever heard of Ted Cruz had he not made such a fuss and stuck to the Constitution so diligently?   Let me know if you think I’m wrong and he’d have had a better chance had he apologized to the Republicans.  To me, this shows how big an establishment type Boehner is…sure maybe Cruz would have pleased the GOP hardliners, but true Conservatives? (the only ones still favoring Cruz at ALL?)  I think not.ll

By the way, notice how the Leftwingers are all, so suddenly, big Boehner fans now that he slammed Cruz so terribly and used such profanity…real ‘elder statesman’ language, huh?

And, as most of you know, I met and had to listen to Boehner talk at a party a few years back;  he was totally drunk and used the “F” word many times and was totally disgusting, so when he says “I’m friends with many Democrats and Republicans,” I’m thinking he means they drink together because he sure didn’t have friends in any other aspect when he was Speaker!!

I share your disdain for Boehner. Tea Party folks GAVE him the majority and the speakership and this failed drunk, and the rest of the establishment, rolled over for obama.

The GOP establishment is angry at Cruz because he told the truth by calling McConnell a liar on the floor of the senate. Nobody has disputed the lie, and nobody has called for McConnell to apologize for lying – just for Cruz in calling him out. Funny, but if Cruz wasn’t the true believer in the constitution and his conservative principles and simply apologized and made deals with them, he’d be their boy (and we’d have another loser in the long line of losers).

Instead, we have a front-runner who can’t speak in complete sentences, insults women and the handicapped, incites violence, can’t pronounce Tanzania, and is just another NY liberal just like Hillary. *sigh* Last stand for America, oh Indiana. Do the right thing.

  2. I like the way Fox’s Judge Napoleatano referred to Boehner as “Democrat Lite” last night, in regards to this.
What conservative principle did Boehner ever stand and fight for?
    That’s a rhetorical question.

  3. Like Jerry said.

  4. bocopro says:

Once again, GMTA. My morning rant is on politicians (although it makes no comment on Boehner, for whom I have little use). Here’s the last 5 paragraphs of the rant (from a total of 16):

Just as with Jimmah or the halfrican, the Dems are once again asking us to hire an inexperienced and unqualified parody of an executive in a futile attempt to solve the unsolvable. Jimmah couldn’t do it, so we had to have a Ronnie Raygun to clean up the mess. Soetoro couldn’t do it, so now we want to give him a 3rd term? Say what? He wants to be decorated for attacking, revising, and subduing the Constitution armed only with a phone and a pen.

I don’t really see another RWR, another Great Communicator, amongst the GOP ranks, either. Trump is spectacularly naïve on Iran, Syria, Islam, terrorism, and several other major issues. But somehow he has a natural politician’s instinct when questioned on a subject of which he knows essentially nothing – he discusses it at great length and with much conviction. I also suspect he has unknown body parts concealed beneath his hair.

Kasich is hanging around being a pest, thinking that if things go off the rails in Cleveland he can carpe dipshit. I don’t believe the rumors about his being gay, but I won’t discount the possibility that he’s scored a few runs from both sides of the plate. Generally, tho, the guy just strikes me as someone with a viciously bland personality, one in whom the fire of human imagination makes only a tiny wisp of acrid smoke in his head.

Then there’s Cruz, a richly congested mind, highly intelligent and well educated, but unable to make good sense to most people he tries to deal with. He just seems to repeatedly stumble over his own intellect, mostly because of his serious charisma deficiency and overactive sleaze gland.

Let’s try something new this time: let things proceed according to plan, with one simple difference – when it’s over, the winners get to kill and eat the losers, confiscate their personal wealth, and contribute it all, including their own salaries as PotUS and VPotUS, to the national treasury while in office. That way, next time we’d find out who’s serious about it.

  5. bunkerville says:

I don’t see it much better with Ryan. A little slicker and a deer hunter, but past the last budget without question. Calling it a crap sandwich. Thanks Paul.

  6. FB says:

Boehner was lousy at best. However Cruz seems to be lying as far as not knowing him b/c he was his lawyer from what I’ve been reading and hearing.

Yesterday I was also reading about Trump’s golf course in Dubai. I’m very alarmed by this since Qatar practices slavery. And to me voting for someone who can overlook that is a big no no.

So 3rd party is likely for me. We’ll have two people who don’t mind getting money from Qatar running for office.

  7. Kid says:

I take boehner’s comments as a glowing recommendation for Cruz.

  8. Kid: Yep!
And I don’t get FB saying Cruz was Boehner’s lawyer.
I just heard Cruz say he’s had no more than 20 words with him.
You can’t say something like that and expect to cover it up.

  9. Kid says:

Reading further down in that article, Cruz had no personal contact with boehner, just worked as a junior on the staff in a supporting role.

  10. FB says:

That was a quote from Cruz’s press secretary. Someone’s lying then.

  11. geeez2014 says:

I hadn’t heard about this lawyering thing…..not sure what the big whoop is; associate lawyers RARELY meet the big shot clients…VERY rarely if ever. He probably had met him but didn’t “know him” as one might if one worked closely.
The one thing I don’t think Cruz is is a liar, regardless of all the comments here to the contrary.
HE didn’t represent Boehner, Cruz’s employers did. Kid’s right.

Bunkerville, there are excellent articles on why Ryan went with the Omnibus…I just don’t have time or the energy today to find them.
I would support Ryan for whatever, wherever…any time.

    bocopro…Kasich’s a loser.

Jerry’s right…and I guess I am, though I keep hoping my blog questions will be responded to!

Do you all think I’m right that if Cruz hadn’t fought Boehner and mcConnell HARD we’d even know who he IS? I believe the CNN Political Chief was so stupid in suggesting Cruz would be better off today had he apologized to the GOP hacks….and it shows such a misunderstanding of the whole situation on a liberal’s part.

  12. Kid says:

    FB, Yea could be.

  13. Kid says:

Z, The GOP are delusional. Plain and simple. But it’s going to take education to do away with them through voting. So, I’m not optimistic. Just talking to a lunch pal about the incredible number of voters who don’t have the slightest clue about anything important that is going on.

  14. FB says:

Yup, Kid. Nobody has a clue and politicians know it. They know they can rob the bank. Just the utter lack of knowledge of economics. The inability to think ahead as well. We have a bunch lemmings because they’ve been sold the American dream solely was a materialistic one and the right to own a house. As an immigrant, there’s nothing more unnerving than this vision that was pitched to us by politicians, forgetting that the American dream is the dream to have the life you want away from the collective oppression.

  15. Kid says:

    Agree of course.

  16. geeez2014 says:

Kid, at dinner last night a friend and I were commiserating on the same issue; people don’t KNOW. Even really bright Conservatives we know just don’t know. I have friends who didn’t know that there are some teachers who tell kids they don’t have to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance, they don’t know Professors are teaching America invented slavery, they don’t know WAY more important issues than those….
They read the big newspapers and watch a little Local news (which I haven’t watched in 20 years) and they think they’re informed.

This is why I keep saying the Conservative candidates MUST start educating the masses ….tell them WHY we feel like we do, expose the leftwing nonsense for what it truly is…

I have a new Black friend I suspect is liberal who was so amazed that Sanders said the other day “We don’t need your damned money, Wall St.!” She said “he DID say that!? But where does he think we’re going to get money to pay for things?” I said “Taxes!” “But we’re taxed so much already…wow he doesn’t sound very bright!”
    ya THINK?

  17. FB says:

    bocopro…Kasich’s a loser.

You made me laugh. He is. And he needs to go see the chiropractor.

  18. Kid says:

Z, Yep. The one that really got me came from one of your earlier posts I think. Bernie saying increasing minimum wage will increase jobs and lower costs. LOL. Wow.
btw – If anyone didn’t know, many unions have their wages based upon minimum wage. Can you imagine the inflation sprial? Lol.

  19. geeez2014 says:

FB! I call him THE TURTLE…his head comes out of his chest, poor guy…yes, he needs a chiropractor. I hate to make fun of physical stuff but we’re thinking PRESIDENT here…

Kid, it’s scary, yet the true believers just don’t get it….it’s unbelievable.

  20. FB says:

Bernie is forgetting it’ll also increase prices. This guy is a dumbass. He should’ve been an orchestra conductor anyway.

  21. Kid says:

He actually thinks it will lower prices, I should have typed prices not costs, or both for that matter.

He apparently has never heard of the Laffer curve either. I wonder now who is more stupid, he or Hank “Guam will capsize if we send any more Marines there” Johnson, one of our esteemed congressmen. hahaa

  22. geeez2014 says:

Joy Behar, who I NEVER WATCH but I had TV on while getting ready to leave…said “The Reagan kids, Michael and Patty and Maureen” are very upset about the new Reagan film about his Alzheimer’s which Will Ferrell will be doing as a spoof.

Maureen Reagan’s been dead about 10 years.

  23. Mal says:

While I understand and agree with everything said above about Boehner, I still believe Trump would best serve us instead of Cruz.. Why? Because the Dems would fight Cruz tooth and nail on everything if he became POTUS and he would hold firm and, like it is now, nothing would get accomplished. Trump, on the other hand, is willing to negotiate. Reagan did also, but you must know what you are doing and make good deals. Trump is a master at it.

  24. FB says:

Kid, if there’s something I understand about the left intelligentsia from a psychological standpoint, it is the fact they think wishful thinking will happen without bad consequences if you wish it very strongly. It’s amazing how they convinced themselves that reality and gravity may not apply. That’s why when it doesn’t work they have to resort to enforcing things. IT’s that simple.

  25. Imp says:

    @Mal…thanks..we’re all alone here. 🙂

  26. Kid says:

FB, They are addicted to their fantasies. It’s why they have tantrums when presented with reality or truth. It really is that simple. Mental disease, Arrested/ retarded mental development. Clinical condition.

  27. FB says:

Mal makes a good point. I’ve always said we needed a manager more than an ideologue, even though it’s not mutually exclusive. Also we need someone who can unify the country a bit. I’m tired of politicians pinning citizens against one another.

  28. Bob says:

Cruz is the architect of his own problems. He is the one that chose to go against the party leadership, right or wrong. Cruz is the one that decided to alienate everyone he encounters. Plus, Cruz is the one that decided to wear his Christianity on his sleeve, not that there’s anything wrong with that, either. The problem is that Cruz does not intend to work with others. After all, he is reportedly smarter than everybody else, Harvard degree not withstanding.

We, as Christians, are likely to give Ted a pass on his Christianity, but some common sense is expected from Christians, too. We live in a country where we are tolerant of other religions, and a candidate for President of The United States needs to exhibit that ideal.

As I watched Cruz in an interview with Megan Kelly, Cruz was downright objectionable. Of course, Kelly was combative, but Cruz was unbearable. What can I say that I have not already said about Ted Cruz. The guy is a whiny prick and I don’t like him.

Then, there is Trump. I have never thought Trump was a very good candidate, and have always shuddered at some of his utterances. However, I believe Trump would be a better executive than either Cruz or Clinton. My favorites lost out long ago, and I will just have to deal with the remainder of the field.

The choice is clear. Trump is the one, love him or not.

  29. Bob says:

Right now, I am watching Fox News cover the Trump rally in Burlingame, CA. It is a little after noon, there, and the protesters are starting to mass in anticipation of Trump’s speech. Trump is already there.

It is interesting that the protesters are ALL Democrats. These are the people with no manners, no sense of democracy, and no sense of right and wrong. They are simply droids that are directed by socialist and communist Democrats. Now, who are the hate mongers?

  30. Mal says:

Bob, like Z said in the beginning, if Trump is the only choice she will hold her nose and vote for him. However, I still believe we should all be very thankful a multi-billionaire is willing to put his life on hold in an effort to help get our country back on track. You certainly don’t see any of the others doing so. He already is famous AND wealthy so has to be motivated by patriotism. The pace he as well as the others have been going through the past year is grueling, at the least. Give credit where credit is due.

  31. If it wasn’t for Ted Cruz, Boehner would still be Speaker.
    Boehner knows and resents that.
    Cruz blew up the system.
    Cruz screwed the elite.
People relate to Trump for some other reason because he’s done nothing.

  32. geeez2014 says:

Trump was asked who disagrees with him and says so in his life? He thought and thought and finally responded “my wife.”
Scary stuff…I’d hope that someone who’s supposedly going to pick good people to surround himself with, who know what they’re doing, would be very open to disagreement and enlightenment.

Trump is the one. What a TERRIBLE thing this says about our country. But that’s the truth..he is the one.

  33. FB says:

What it shows actually is the true face of the radical leftist protesting against the police.

  34. Mal, I must disagree. He is a noted narcissist, similar to Obama, and the attention he is getting is feeding that.
That’s why he lashes out at critics and badmouthes his opponents to the degree he does.
They are a threat to his self esteem.

  35. Kid says:

Ed, I’ve had a heart to heart with Donald for an hour today.. He has turned a new leaf. He sees the threat to America just as we do and he doesn’t want to live in some multi-culturalistic hell hole as the EU state are now doing. He will make America great again. The blustery talk was just to get free press. He will straighten up and fly right now. I will give him the best of advice through my transendental meditational connection to this great man.

I mean, I’ve tried and I just can’t get behind the hildebeast. I can’t get in front of her or beside her either. Aside from the audio and visual deterrants, there is the odor. It’s like the sulfur smell that comes from well you know. 🙂

  36. Kid: I feel much better.
But watch it with that ” It’s like the sulfur smell that comes from well you know.:)”.
Sounds like Trump (before he turned a new leaf) talking about Megan Kelly…

  37. Kid says:

Ok Ed, I hadn’t thought of that. I will tone down my own musical stylings as we move into the final phase of the destruction of the libntard meme. Oggggghhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm. peace….love….. no more free stuff…… etc….

  38. geeez2014 says:

Kid, that comment made ME feel better, too! I keep HOPING Trump isn’t who he’s been the last nine months, but then he insults a candidate for HOW HE EATS?!
    “DISGUSTING”…only it’s TRUMP who’s disgusting not kasich

  39. Kid says:

What can I say, I don’t like noisy eaters either.

  40. Imp says:

You know when you no longer have a nation that respects its citizens when illegal foreigners are allowed to prevent real citizens from exercising their political rights in peace. Worse yet these violent radical protesters are encouraged by the media, corporations, the Democratic Party and our government. We need to elect Trump and then pressure him to clear these illegals out of our country, refuse them all government benefits and punish corporations and individuals that offer them employment.

  41. Imp says:

ED..Mayhem Kelly’s a big girl. And I’m sure she got a “pity” raise of a couple million more bucks because she’s a fragile little lady. right?

  42. Kid says:

    IMP – Agree!

  43. Mal says:

Ed, I have to admit what you said about Trump rings true (narcissist, etc) but I believe he is still our best hope. The bad part comes as a package, but heck, I’m even willing to put up with all that so long as he can get the job done. Kinda like the raccoons in the basement bit.

  44. Mal says:

………..they had to put up with staring at “the plumbers crack”.

  45. Imp, I was just saying I was reminded of the comment about bleeding from wherever when kid said the sulphur smell came from somewhere..

  46. Imp says:

ED..and what I’m saying is that she’s no Michele Fields. She swims with the sharks just fine. I don’t like her but she does her job.

  47. geeez2014 says:

Ed, that remark was THE most disgusting and ugly of almost all of Trump’s hideous language..imagine a real MAN talking like that?

Imp…I think who Kelly is, which is beautiful and really smart and very funny, it isn’t HER we’re talking about here, it’s what he said. It’s HIM, not her.

  48. Kid says:

    TRUMP 2016 !!!!

    Trust me on this.

  49. geeez2014 says:

Kid, we’re stuck; that’s just the truth. sad, but true. Of ALL the people in this country..HIM.
It’s like a joke from God…or maybe not a joke, something worse.

  50. Kid says:

-He has all the money he needs. No lobbyists
-He may realize more than the rest of us that if America (economic opportunity) is to survive we need to make a hard right turn. It may take someone who doesn’t owe anyone jack on Jan 22, 2017 to get that done.
-He may realize like many of us that if we let the “other cultures” redefine life in America, there will be no haven for us to escape to (Culture/Lifestyle/Healthcare/Other). That would be a total suck situation.
-He makes statements (eg. Military intervention Only as a last resort) that resonate well with Americans and adds that If we get involved it will only be because we have a solid plan for Victory. My pesonal addition to this(true or not?) is that we also abandon the BS Rules of Engagement our best have had to deal with since 2003 in savages-land
-He talks about bringing our tradicional allies back into the fold, but also making them responsible for their own defense. They can’t spend all their money on losers (socialism) and expect us to come save them all the time. This is My Perfect position btw and gutsy to put out there at this point in time.
-Putting America back in a superior position from an employment/economic position.
-Newt Gingrich made the point that Trump has always reached out to experts in the fields where he was engaged.
I Man All Of This ain’t half bad. What do the others offer?

The stuff that drives you nuts.

  51. geeez2014 says:

Kid, how’s Gingrich know that? It’s all blahblahblahblah…….him, his friend Gingrich, etc etc. That SLEAZY snake Paul Manafort…Oh my GOSH.
You sound like you’re trying to talk me into Trump; I have to vote for him, don’t worry.
    I despise him….

  52. Kid says:

    Z, I’m trying to make it easier, that’s all ! 🙂

  53. Kid says:

    Z, Of course, it’s all blahblahbl;ahblahblah

Who’s Blahblahblah blah do you want?

  54. Bob says:

I am really glad all that the Geeez denizens are all in one Accord about Trump. Let there be no illusion that The Donald is the perfect candidate, nor will he be the perfect President. If he can keep two of his campaign promises, the country will be MUCH better off, i.e., killing Obama Care and building the Wall. When it comes to jumping on the terrorists, all he has to do is turn the US military machine loose, and presto! No terrorists.

Remember, once we drink the KoolAid, we can’t gripe about the man. So, lay in a supply of your favorite drug, and stay mellow.

BTW, am I the only one that has noticed that Megan Kelly has cut her hair to appear more severe and masculine? After her trouncing on Trump, I am afraid she is lobbying for a gender change. In which bathroom will she next appear?

  55. jerrydablade says:

Bob, I consider myself a blog disciple of the lovely and talented Z, and I am also a #NeverTrump guy. With all due respect, sir, nothing you have said compels me otherwise. Your problem with Cruz is that he “went against part leadership” as if somehow one must give up their core values and cede to Pelosi, Reid and the gang. I have no doubt trump would “strike deals” with them. Listen, I know most of you disagree with me and I’m ok with that. You just can’t say that “the Geeez denizens are all in one Accord about Trump.”

  56. Imp says:

Now now Bob….we’re talking about HIM….not HER. OK? Let’s give the Pentecostal preacher who takes 5 minutes to say…ham sandwich… a chance to rob more delegates. Besides I think, he’s just as unqualified as Obama was. We can’t find a real Natural Born citizen out of 310 million anymore?

  57. Kid says:

Come on folks ! This is about having the hildebeast with emphasis on Beast, interject itself into your life for 4 years or more or having ‘someone else’.

    It’s such a simple choice…. For God’s sake. 🙂
