Trump’s Vice Presidential Nominee

trump pointing VP

Who’s Trump pointing to?  Who’s that VP Nominee over there?  Who do YOU think Trump would pick as his VP Running Mate and why?   If you don’t like who you think he’d pick, who would you pick for him?
Looking forward to your ideas!

  1. Bernie Sanders.
The Oompa Loomp says he doesn’t need conservatives, and Bernie would bring in all those Democrats with values similar to Trump’s.

There’s a rumor that it’ll be Marco Rubio. I don’t see it but one never knows. I’m not going to venture a guess because he’s so across the board incendiary, many find him hard to admire (I’m one of them). However, that said, I do believe that Hubby and I will vote for him only because Shillary is a much worse choice.

I think his choice of a VP candidate will entirely depend on what time of day it is, and which way the wind is blowing at the time.

Sparky, that’s how I feel….”only because Shillary is much worse..” Very sad.

AOW, Gingrich started touting Trump about a month and I thought “They are so different….he can only be supporting him for the VP post”. How would you feel about that?

Mustang…hopefully not…let’s HOPE he finally comes up with a platform that at least stays the same! He has to realize he’s going to have to “play well and listen to others” 🙂

I don’t think it’d be Allen West but he is a very good guy.

In an interview by Greta, she asked about this, naming different individuals, all of which he said were good men,(and also women) but wouldn’t commit at this point, saying he is still considering different options. One question he DID answer is if it might be someone who is from the establishment, saying that would be very helpful so he could negotiate more easily with Congress so I believe like AOL. Newt Gingrich would be an ideal selection.

Long LONG time ago I heard some old dudes talkin politics while sittin around by a fire smokin pipes and seegars and sippin whisky. Listened to ’em for several minutes . . . ’til they started repeatin themselves.

Coupla things I took away from the eavesdroppin:

    1. Anybody who can properly manage a state like California or Texas can run the rest of the country.

    2. If you’re trying to keep from pissing people off, you’re not doing a good job.

    3. It’s not the CEO’s job to dump the trash and clean the bathrooms.

    4. There ain’t really much difference between a Democrat and Republican administration except for military preparedness. They both spend too much money they haven’t got.

    5. Having all three branches bein the same at the same time is a formula for a takeover.

    6. It might not be a bad idea to have separate votes for PotUS and Veep.

Not long after that, Reagan was elected PotUS and I can remember people callin him a phony, a name-recognition choice, a loose cannon, a flip-flopper, and several other things, much like what people are callin Don Bocca these days.

If I were he, though, the name at the top of my list for Veep would be Rick Perry. And after that,
White House Counsel = Charles Krauthammer
    SecState = John Bolton.
SecDef = any retired 4-star fired by Obeyme
    AttyGen = Ted Cruz

Of course Bolton would be equally good, tho not as effective, in the role of UN Ambassador, and Cruz would be perfect as a SCotUS justice.

I think I published my cabinet list here a coupla months ago.

On another subject. if you want to see history being made, go to “Hyperloop one las vegas review journal” where many sites come up. Open the first one and watch the short video of the first test of future travel, eventually competing with or replacing all forms of travel (speeds up to 400 mph but eventually 700 mph). They are calling it a Kitty Hawk moment comparing it to the Wright Bros. first flight at Kitty Hawk, N. Carolina in 1903. Its exciting, and is happening less than 1/2 hour from here and next to where another Electric Car Co. began building this year (Faraday Future) at the Apex Industrial Park in N. Las Vegas. Exciting!

Can’t remember last time I combed my hair. Keep those loyal strands which haven’t gone AWOL pretty short, so I just rub a little water on it to keep it from lookin like weeds in fresh wagon track, then rub it out when it dries.

Quit gettin professional haircuts when I retired from the Navy. Cut my own for the last 30 years or so. Donno what the goin price is these days, but I figger I’m savin around $200/annum by doin my own trimmin.

And speakin of savin bucks, I was a 2-pack-a-day smoker ’til 1985. Figure at today’s prices, 60 packs a month @ nearly $5/pack, that’s a lotta cabbage over a year’s time. And since I don’t even really like beer, I reckon by givin up haircuts, smokes, and booze I gave myself a 4 or 5K annual tax-exempt payraise . . . which Milady throws at our grandkritters.

Oh, well . . . as she likes to say, I won’t be takin it with me when I go.

Newt? The ticket can’t take two overinflated egos. Gingrich would be attempting to overshadow Trump at every turn. It would be like two tvs in one room, each one jacking up the volume to try to drown out the other. There’s not enough air in the room for both of them.

The president can hire legislative experts to handle congressional negotiations. Trump need a strong, non-partisan foreign policy VP, like perhaps General Mattis.

Mal…am glad to hear Trump say he needs an est. type.

    Ed…no 🙂

FB…I laughed aloud at “can’t even comb his hair” and I’m delighted that you feel optimistic with Gingrich, too.

fredd; you serious about no VP or just sayin’ the Donald’s so BIG in every way he won’t want someone with him!!?

bocopro: I think those “fire smokin pipes and seegars and sippin whisky” guys were BRILLIANT. I love that list…excellent.
The only thing I strongly disagree with you on is Rick Perry. For some reason, I can’t stomach the guy…even worse than I could stomach Cruz’s unappealing visage… ALTHOUGH I do think Cruz is a PERFECT AG…. definitely would LOVE that to happen; talk about a strong constitutionalist who understands and follows the LAW.

And YES “SecDef = any retired 4-star fired by Obeyme” BRAVO! Oh, my GOSH, I’d LOVE the irony of that one!

  43. Z,
Gingrich started touting Trump about a month and I thought “They are so different….he can only be supporting him for the VP post”.

Not the only reason for Newt’s support of Trump, IMO.

Trump might choose Newt for VP, but I doubt it. More likely Newt would get another Cabinet post.

I do look for Trump to choose someone with a Capitol Hill background — someone who knows the ins and outs of pushing through legislation.

I doubt that Trump will choose a governor as VP. But who knows? Much negotiation is going on — including with Reince Priebus.

BTW, did Reince Priebus — RNC chair since 2011, I think — have a lot to do with giving Newt’s primary votes to Romney in 2012? Beamish was discussing that in a comments thread at my blog.
