BRITAIN and the EU…or MINUS the EU!!

As of tonight, it looks like England HAS voted to LEAVE THE EU…HURRAH!
Most of the reason seems to be about how the EU has foisted so many “refugees” on them and they want to feel sovereign again (the Brits, not the refugees!)…….

I SO HOPE that when I wake Friday morning, the numbers from tonight will have stayed solid and they DID VOTE AGAINST THE EU….And I’m now hearing a woman announcing it HAS PASSED!!   WOW WOW WOW!!!

Early FIREWORKS! (ironic near July 4th, huh, if you get my drift?)

british fireworks

How do you feel about it?   We might have a bit of a bumpy financial ride, as might the rest of the world, but I’m willing if it means ONE COUNTRY’s people got sane and voted to be England again….to put a crimp in Globalization!

Can England be England again?  Thoughts?

  1. I fully support Britain charting her own course, away from the sinking ship of the EU. The values and goals of one nation…is not the values and goals of many nations.

  3. CI,
The values and goals of one nation…is not the values and goals of many nations.

  4. From Donald Trump’s Facebook page:

Statement Regarding British Referendum on E.U. Membership

The people of the United Kingdom have exercised the sacred right of all free peoples. They have declared their independence from the European Union, and have voted to reassert control over their own politics, borders and economy. A Trump Administration pledges to strengthen our ties with a free and independent Britain, deepening our bonds in commerce, culture and mutual defense. The whole world is more peaceful and stable when our two countries – and our two peoples – are united together, as they will be under a Trump Administration.

Come November, the American people will have the chance to re-declare their independence. Americans will have a chance to vote for trade, immigration and foreign policies that put our citizens first. They will have the chance to reject today’s rule by the global elite, and to embrace real change that delivers a government of, by and for the people. I hope America is watching, it will soon be time to believe in America again.

Several thoughts flittered through my head as I walked in the pre-dawn murk with Monsterdawg this mornin.

Shot in the arm for the idea of democratic decision-making.
Slap in the face to one-worldism.
EU is now a German collective.
    France will be next.
    Greece must be completely confused.

This can be a definite negative for the liberal elitists come this fall . . . IF the Trump campaign can spin it properly. Big banks and surrendering power to extra-national bodies took a serious body shot.

Immigration . . . BIG factor. Should work for Trump.

Then my stomach took over and my thoughts turned to breakfast.

  6. The decision is also a rejection of the kind of cozy, corrupt and
unaccountable arrangements that have enriched elites at the expense of ordinary people who bear the brunt of regulations and laws by the European Union for which no British citizen voted to enact.

The European Union even went so far at one point to dictate the size and curvature of bananas and cucumbers that could be sold in British shops. The Nanny State supreme.

  7. Mustang says:

American leadership shares one thing in common with their British counterpart: ineptness. Withdrawing from the EU simply illustrates what a idiotic idea it was to join in the first place. Will a separate entity in any way solve the problem in Great Britain of Middle Eastern infestation? Not at all; the camel’s hump is inside the tent and now thanks to the practice of polygamy, which is rampant inside Great Britain (as it is here), the once great island nation stands on the threshold of its own destruction. Meanwhile, back in America, we are learning nothing at all from any of this.

  8. Kid says:

It’s a great first step. Now for Sweden, Denmark, France, Germany to do the same and send all the invaders back to Turkey, or preferably where they came from.

I’m taking some pleasure in imagining how unhappy obama and friends must be. Probably couldn’t pound a nail up his butt with a sledgehammer.

  9. Kid says:

Just starting to read some of this on the BBC site, it looks like the other states are all going to be demanding their own opportunity to vote. Release the hounds !

  10. Kid,
Yes, the people of other European nation states are seeming to want out of the EU.

  11. Thanks for posting Trump’s statement. Made my morning!

  12. Kid says:

AOW, Yes, from what I’m reading, it seems the referendums in most of the other countries is unavoidable now. Sweden, France, Denmark, Netherlands, Italy noted specifically.

The Netherlands has Geert Wilders, one of just a couple voices of reason when it comes to understanding islam. Marine le Pen (France) is the other that comes to mind.

  13. FB says:

I feel ecstatic about it. It made my day. Screw the EU bureaucrats and the cronies. Time for the French to do the same but it’ll never happen.

  14. Sparky says:

As I’ve told others this morning: I am thrilled about Britain becoming independent again. It will be a good thing and I hope it will be a good thing for us too. We all need to shake off the shackles of socialism/communism or whatever the ‘ism’ is and get back to good sound Judeo-Christian principles. One World-ism is satanic. Period. The EU was a wicked idea to start with. Sure the markets will crash and shudder for awhile, but, shoot, how could it get any worse?! They’ll stabilize and then be stronger than ever with REAL numbers (I hope). Now if we can just get rid of DingleBarry and the HildaBeast …

  15. Kid says:

Yea, soros is big on trading currencies, so if he made the correct bet.

  16. Kid says:

This is funny. The day after the vote to leave the EU, people in Britain’s highest ranking google search term is What is the EU. lol

  17. geeez2014 says:

FB is right, sadly; it’ll NEVER HAPPEN IN FRANCE. EVER. At least it wouldn’t win, they could vote, but I doubt it.

Silverfiddle; Soros….imagine? And he can BUY LOW today, all day, and make a fortune.

Sparky, we really do need to SHAKE OFF THE SHACKLES. It’s why I am so excited.

AOW…I absolutely love what someone wrote on Trump’s site….they need to HAMMER THIS….let Americans hear it. So far, it’s only Cons. media covering Trump’s reactions to Brexit.
Most of the homepages didn’t mention it till well after the vote!…and it’s all ‘gloom and doom’ from the lib media’s perspective, of course.

Kid…part of the joy IS seeing Obama so upset. The part I can’t take is his incessant LECTURING. He might as well have included “THEY’LL BE SORRY and SO WILL WE”…. he came pretty close, the jerk.
I’d be VERY surprised if many countries follow suit, by the way…extremely surprised. THey’re too scared to cut themselves off. This took great courage on the part of England.

Mustang; a separate entity’s a good start since CAMERON IS STEPPING DOWN (which I call COWARDICE)….another miracle in England could be getting conservatives into Parliament who will do what’s necessary to GET RID OF THE THOUSANDS OF YOUNG MEN “refugees”….what a joke.

Bocopro; the EU IS now a “German Collective”…you couldn’t be more right.
But it won’t happen in France…you’re not right there. GREAT list, otherwise…excellent.
It’s the dismissal of ONE WORLDISM I like the most!

CI…wishing you well over there! Of course I agree with you on this.

AOW…great information! Thanks…. This really is a happy day!

I wish I had about $100K with which to BUY LOW! 🙂

  18. geeez2014 says:

KID!!!!!!!!!!! THAT is REALLY FUNNY! Well, at least they voted correctly, whether they knew or not. What I HATE is how BIG BROTHER KNOWS what they’re Googling.
Gad, I hate this part of our world…no privacy ANYWHERE on ANYTHING.

  19. geeez2014 says:

Kid, I wouldn’t be surprised if our liberal media picks up that GOogle trending in England….the inferences (some subtle, not so subtle) will be “Brits didn’t even know what they were voting for or against..” ALready, last night, some of the lib pundits were saying how the demographics mostly showed not so educated, poorer people voting for the BREXIT!

  20. Kid says:

Z, yes, you know they will spin it their way. The argument on the other side is that polling stated that the number 1 reason for leaving was ‘immigration’. It would seem the majority of exit voters knew what they were doing. That won’t get much play of course.

  21. Kid says:

Z, there are several countries that have discovered they’ve stepped in something quite nasty with these ‘migrants’. They honestly thought they’d come in, get jobs and blend in to their cultures for the most part. (Read the koran maybe ahead of time when you’re responsible for making these kind of decisions?) Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands have gotten quite an education. Vigilante gangs are going around in Sweden and beating the hell out of them. Most of these countries are trying to pay them to leave, some countries say they’ll force them to leave, but no one yet believes that will amount to much. It appears Italy badly wants to remove the forced migration also. It is the number 1 issue at all these countries. Makes me wonder how many moslems have invaded Ireland who already voted to stay in EU and Scotland who wants to have their own vote to stay. Not sure about Germany with the reported % who support Merkle..

  22. Mal says:

i also believe it is good news and have always looked at the EU the same way as I view socialism and dependence. I mean, just look at Greece and how they keep asking for more but unwilling to be self-reliant and drastically cut back on their “benefits”. Sound familiar? And yes, this should be an “aha!” moment for Trump.

  23. Silverlady says:

This is what happens when the elitist get to full of themselves & ignore the electorate. A good article below. I hope Angela is quaking in her burka. And, no, Britain will not be the last.

“Gerard Baker of the Wall Street Journal offers the best summary this morning of the larger meaning of Brexit. Gerry, as his friends and colleagues call him, is a subdued fellow not given to hyperbole, which is why this judgment is so bracing:

“Levels of dissatisfaction with leadership have reached revolutionary levels. It’s a paradox of mass modern democracy that voters feel themselves governed by rulers who “neither see nor feel nor know,” a political-business nexus that feeds on itself and promotes its own interests while mouthing platitudes at election time to keep the populace at bay. In Europe and the U.S. today, traditional political authority is worn like a scarlet letter. . .

The very idea that the state has a primary obligation to its native citizens has become unfashionable and virtually unsayable within the tightly controlled bounds of political correctness. . .

The stunning reality of Brexit needs to be understood as simply the most dramatic development yet in these trends. The British people have spoken, the first to break publicly from the institutional structures that define our modern, integrated international system.

They are very unlikely to be the last.”

  24. FB says:

The rest of Europe is going to keep sinking economically and socially while the UK will get stronger. If countries like France want to be run by bureaucrats so they can get their welfare freebies, they’ll die slowly and will be taken over by uneducated immigrants. 52% in the UK got that.

  25. geeez2014 says:

Kid, I know all that and I don’t believe they’ll do anything like England just did against this…I just heard Tony Blair say this won’t stop migration, anyway, legally or any other way, which makes me sad. We’ll see. But I don’t believe many of those countries can afford to get out of the EU.

The REALLY GOOD THING ABOUT LEAVING THE EU is that people will need passports to ENTER non-EU countries from EU countries (and others) now. THAT is the saving grace. IF border patrols are reimplemented, of course….that’ll remain to be seen.

Silverlady, I am hoping against hope you’re all correct and other countries will follow suit.
I’ll be VERY VERY surprised..a bunch of angry people doesn’t a referendum make, sadly.
Germany? NO WAY. It’ll take a miracle. But they need it the MOST…they have the most ‘invaders’ as my German stepson calls them…not ‘refugees’.
Anyway, thousands of single young men with cell phones pleading poverty and asylum are NOT REFUGEES…that’s the biggest lie EVER.

  26. Kid says:

Z, Yes, Germany by a long shot in absolute numbers.

  27. Silverlady says:

Kid, in Sweden, because these thugs are so hell-bent on raping blondes, the blonde women actually are dying their hair dark to try to protect themselves. Right! No guns, just dark hair dye.

  28. geeez2014 says:

Kid, ya, and I’ll bet those from Iran are just really nice people fearing the regime (smile)
ALTHOUGH I must admit many of those from Iran might be Christians; I’ve met a lot of very nice, hardworking CHrsitians who had to leave and are here in LA now…
ALbanians are REALLY tough…my German husband warned about them years ago.

Silverlady; isn’t that amazing? Ya, and in Germany, my stepdaughter takes night dance classes and so many young girls have been raped on the way to the UBahn that they now have to stay in groups. That DAMN MERKEL.

  29. geeez2014 says:

FB “The evolution of battery technology!?” uummmmmmm!

  30. Imp says:

While enjoying a beer after the Brexit victory last night I was unable to mute the wailing primal scream of elites, it was seemingly coming from everywhere media exists. And It tri-echoed on for hours: “Without unaccountable centralized power, how can we possibly prosper?” Did anyone else experience this phenomena?

  31. geeez2014 says:–abc-news-topstories.html

WHAT EUROPEAN LEADERS ARE SAYING……I wonder what they’re THINKING. I hope it’s “UHOH…ARE WE NEXT?” But I wouldn’t count on it.

  32. geeez2014 says:

I wonder what the Queen thinks of this.
And if Scotland WILL referendum out of The BRITISH Isles…
    And what Ireland will do.

I had to laugh at the Greek response in the link I posed above.. the leader says “it could have something to do with immigration” Give him a round of applause, folks! HE GOT IT!

One pro Brexit person said “Winston Churchill would be proud of us”
    I think he would

IMP: Didn’t have a beer (smile) but I ABSOLUTELY thought everybody but FOX was HARD LINED AGAINST THIS BREXIT…it was everywhere. All gloom n’ doom, “England’s over”, ” OUR money’s going to suffer and they may never recover”. Tony Blair was on CNN this morning bemoaning the horrible future…

Then they WONDER why our market’s tanking today?!!

  33. Baysider says:

To answer your question, you can never get your virginity back, but you can stop the whoring from this point forward.

  34. geeez2014 says:

FB! I didn’t know there was talk about a united Ireland….WOW. THAT would take SOME doing. I have friends who returned from Ireland 10 days ago and they were stunned by the sectarianism….so much animosity between the two STILL!!

Baysider…I don’t think they CAN stop the whoring..we can only hope!
Are you back in town from the trip?

  35. Kid says:

    Baysider, Exactly.

  36. Kid says:

IMP, Nothing screams louder than a vampire drug into the sunlight. This is what we are seeing imo.

  37. Kid says:

Silverlady, Unreal isn’t it. Some of the countries like Austria allow persons to buy long guins, rifles, shotguns and the ladies are buying.

  38. Silverlady says:

Just found this snippet in an article in ‘The American Thinker’
Dutch anti-immigration leader Geert Wilders called for a referendum on the Netherlands’ membership in the EU following the British result.
“We want be in charge of our own country, our own money, our own borders, and our own immigration policy,” he said in a statement.

    Well, why not?

  39. geeez2014 says:

I love it when I get the Double Jeopardy last question 🙂

  40. geeez2014 says:

Silverlady, there are a lot of liberals who say things in interviews like “We have to get away from that “one country/one people” attitude of preserving the past culture and move forward”..I’m thinking “WHY?” Apparently, that’s bigotry and racism at its finest. WHY? Let those who don’t fit in live where THEY fit in, right? And, if they’d like to come to a beautiful clean country, come legally, learn the language and have a talent through which you can support yourself. Bingo…it’s THEIR culture, not the immigrant’s culture…THEIR CULTURE.

I feel SO SO blessed to have known Germany as well as I do starting almost 30 years ago now….I was there when you could still leave your door unlocked and your bike tipped against your garden wall………nobody stole anything. It was SO SO CLEAN.
My stepson tells me that today, in Munich’s Marienplatz, “you don’t see any Germans.” period.

  41. Kid says:

Silverlady, Geert Wilders is the most vocal/visible anti-moslem islam vermin person on the planet.

I think people are going to be surprised when they see how many current EU countries reject the status quo.

  42. geeez2014 says:

Kid, as I’ve said above, I wish I could be as optimistic that other countries will have the guts to split from the EU. I really do.–abc-news-topstories.html

  43. Kid says:

Z, In your link I see mainly comments from other countries leaders, who we must consider some percentage corrupt and/or in denial. Let’s hear from the voters in those countries, as their opinion could be opposite those countries leaders.

Related, and I could have mentioned earlier, given the amount of fake information coming out of Germany, could we easily expect polling numbers in suppoprt of Merkel to be totally made up. I’d say yea. Most especially in Germany given what we’ve seen of the manhandling of information there so far.

  44. Baysider says:

    I’m back, Z.

  45. geeez2014 says:

Baysider…good…glad you’re safe and sound! I hope it was nice.

Kid….that’s true…it’s the leaders …but they’re the ones who usually approve a referendum vote, right?

What do you mean about Germany? You mean how my own stepkids are telling the truth and we’re not hearing the horror stories, or…something else?

  46. Kid says:

Z, agree, up to the elite to approve even having a vote.

Germany…., I mean the informaiton/news coming out of there even to their own citizens is so filtered and redacted it would choke a clinton. Hell, I heard the news people were instructed to remove all references to sexual assaults relating to the cologne sexual assualts and rapes.
