Please, God…let this continue…..

feeling hopeful.

Z: I found this on my cousin’s Facebook page and had to post it………this is what a lot of people are feeling.  Usually, we don’t hear about them, but we have been lately, since the Dallas killings.    Celebrate good news;  let’s hope people start to relate more like this and with less hate.   I don’t know who Natasha is, but I would hug her, too.  And maybe cry…

his life matters

I’m so PROUD of these two men….

If we ALL wrote this on our hands…..tattooed………..well, that’s enough, I’m starting to sound like the lead-in for “I’d like to teach the world to sing..” and you guys know that’d give ME a stomach ache!!!!!

  1. There are people called liberals who cannot grasp the concept that all life matters includes and does not exclude black lives. They want to see the emphasis on black lives and it’s our white guilt, White Power, white entitlement that keeps us from understanding that.

That’s a beautiful story, and its getting plenty of social media buzz. Thank you for posting it. We need some good news.

  3. There does seem to be a burst of good will going around right now. We should enjoy these moments.

But that good will isn’t really solving the problems, is it? Kumbaya is nice and all that — but is only a facade unless the underlying problems are addressed.

Meanwhile, on CBS News this morning, an erudite black man was thumping the white-guilt drum. I’m so sick of it!

  4. I just finished reading $2.00 a Day: Living on Almost Nothing in America.

I read this book only because one of my high school tutorees is required to read this book over the summer. A requirement for all rising 10th graders in a very prominent public school in Fairfax County.

The book is nothing more than an attempted justification of the victimology mindset which so many people have today.

Agenda, agenda, agenda! And brain washing.

  5. Excerpt from Surprising New Evidence Shows Bias in Police Use of Force but Not in Shootings, in today’s NYT:

A new study confirms that black men and women are treated differently in the hands of law enforcement. They are more likely to be touched, handcuffed, pushed to the ground or pepper-sprayed by a police officer, even after accounting for how, where and when they encounter the police.

But when it comes to the most lethal form of force — police shootings — the study finds no racial bias.

“It is the most surprising result of my career,” said Roland G. Fryer Jr., the author of the study and a professor of economics at Harvard. The study examined more than a thousand shootings in 10 major police departments, in Texas, Florida and California.

The result contradicts the mental image of police shootings that many Americans hold in the wake of the killings (some captured on video)…

  6. We Anericans must NOT allow the radical leftists to divide us.

Screw them! I will not participate is their destructive, hateful activities.

Uplifting post Z. I’m deeply concerned about our police and first responders. It’s even going to be scary for fireman, you know. Anyway, it’s all anarchy being pushed by the Far Left (Demoncrat) agenda who are letting themselves be tools for the devil. Even I posted about it today.
Keep looking up. Hope your day is blessed.

Ed, imagine a group of people who don’t get that Whites understand what’s going on….. Although I’ll be the first to admit we can’t know unless we ARE BLACK; there’s just no getting around that; it’s just TRUTH.

SF…i’m SO glad this is getting some buzz; I’ve only seen it on my cousin’s FB page so I’m really happy it’s going around…it’s important.

AOW!!! Yes, this kind of thing does make an impression, it sinks in, it does matter.
And YES! This not enough….blacks are EVERYWHERE on the TV news stations blaming Whites, blaming society, blaming, blaming…everyone but themselves and their own families and neighborhoods. It’s hard to watch.
Giuliani was right …I saw him say it last night…BLM is racist….imagine a WLM group?? IMagine what they’d be called??
With books like the one you describe as required reading, I wonder if this country stands a chance of succeeding again. Doubt it.

UNTIL AMERICA , PARTICULARLY BLACK AMERICA, FINALLY REALIZES IT’S NOT FOR NOTHING BLACKS ARE TARGETED BY COPS, WE’RE DONE… WE’LL NEVER EVER GET A GRIP ON THIS. It’s not till Black America realizes they need to cop their own kids, teach them manners, teach them stealing isn’t right, teach them kids don’t do well without fathers, teach them what it is to be an American, etc etcetc….how can we get through this? We can’t.

Sadly, White Americans can be JUST as addicted to crack, ignoring their kids, not teaching them how to survive…but the Black families live pretty much in certain neighborhoods, making it look like they’re ALL BAD, which is ridiculous……..then they get labeled and picked on by cops and learn to hate Whites AND Cops.

GRANDPARENTS ARE RAISING KIDS THESE DAYS…so, what happened? These Black grandparents are mostly caring, involved, working hard as retired folks to raise their grandchildren…………parents? Who knows? probably also being supported by grandparents…

AND yes, there are great Black families and they’re not talked enough about! They don’t make news!

Know who hasn’t made CNN’s news yet? The one they’ve shown on FOX a few times; the black woman weeping in gratitude to the cops who shielded her after she was shot….as she watched another cop get shot….as she was underneath the White cop who lay on her to protect her.

Instead, CNN is mostly showing the most militantly armed cops standing behind cruisers, rifles aimed….

  9. geeez2014 says:

FairestWitness…NONE OF US is going to participate in this nonsense, are we!

Sparky, I’m afraid for our cops, too. Just watched the Dallas POlice Chief speak….am about to write a note of admiration. I’m prouder of being an American for having heard him.
(He says “ask”…if you get what I mean………) And he talked about GOD. And how much he cares and that community policing is the only way; “to have our young kids learn they can trust cops”….he is SO RIGHT.
But cops have to earn that…..because of a couple of bad ones all across this country FULL OF COPS, it’s the COPS, the good ones, who have to dig out from the bad ones’ reputations. sad but true….

Srikes me as so interesting that the CNN Coverage focuses on what looks like militarized cops in every frame, and “Diamond” tears at how horrible the killing of her “fiancee” know, the one who seemed so disconnected from him at the time he was bleeding to death next to her and in front of her child….doing ZIP to help calm him or save him………and FOX has some of that but also features the tape of the woman thanking the cops and marveling at their courage as they protected her and her son who was lying under her as she was shot. and then the White cop shielding her body.

In the mid 1950’s they passed the non-discrimination act in housing. Up to that point, in L.A. the Blacks were all east of Main Street with little or no problems. But a few years later, in 1963, we had the infamous Watt’s Riot, and things haven’t been the same since. Everyone, including Blacks, must remember no one alive today was a slave or a slave owner. Not even when I was born in 1928, so why does this keep alive? No one alive today caused it or was affected by it. In America, we have all five colors….Red, White, Black, Brown, and Yellow, so why is the problem only with one color? I believe THEY keep it alive with anger, acting, dressing, and talking differently. All the other colors don’t. The rest conform. I might add that Blacks in other countries where slavery never existed conform to their respective countries society.
Is it going to be any better 50 or 100 years from now here in America? I can’t see how until they solve this mystery.

“It’s about GRACE and His sweet tender mercies”….Chief Brown is a very strong Christian…I shouldn’t be surprised about his clear thinking and excellence. I’m not saying all Christians are like him, THAT IS FOR SURE!, but he gets guidance from something better than many folks do…that shows.
