What I believe is a Rightwing Urban Legend reached my computer again the other day and it’s this: Obama was so ticked off at Jay Leno’s jokes about him he got NBC to let him go. You probably all heard that at the time; I did. Well, right or wrong, and we will never know because this media we have today is dishonest and disinterested in truth, they are some VERY FUNNY LINES and I hope you enjoy them: (My fave is the FOX one!)

On NSA surveillance: “We wanted a president who listens to all Americans – now we have one.”

On closing the Guantanamo prison for terrorists: “If he really wants to close it, turn it into a government-funded solar power company. The doors will be shut in a month.”
Concerning the Benghazi, Associated Press, and IRS scandals: “Remember in the old days when President Obama’s biggest embarrassment was Joe Biden?”
On saying he didn’t know about the IRS scandal: “He was too busy not knowing anything about Benghazi to not know anything about the IRS.”
“The White House has a new slogan about Benghazi: Hope and change the subject.”
“It’s casual Friday, which means that at the White House, they’re casually going through everybody’s phone calls and records. It is not looking good for President Obama. Today his teleprompter took the fifth.”
“Fox News has changed its slogan from ‘Fair and Balanced’ to ‘See, I told you so!'”
On commencement address: “He told the young graduates their future is bright unless, of course, they want jobs.”
On a Chicago man who set a record for riding a Ferris wheel: “The only other way to go around and around in a circle that many times is to read the official report on Benghazi.”
On White House claims of ignorance on the scandals: “They took ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ out of the Pentagon and moved it into the White House.”
“These White House scandals are not going away anytime soon. It’s gotten so bad that people in Kenya are now saying he’s 100 percent American.”

I miss Jay Leno, too. I don’t watch the Tonight Show anymore, Jimmy Fallon isn’t funny. He just seems like a snarky ass to me.
I never did understand why NBC so mistreated Jay Leno, he was great. I think NBC did try to move him out in 2009, replaced him with Conan O’Brien for about a year, while Jay had a prime time show that didn’t work. Then Leno was allowed back from 2010 to 2014. I don’t buy that Obama’s pressure had any bearing on his mistreatment, though. They let Johnny Carson retire on his own terms, seems to me they should have done the same with Leno.

These were all good. There were some I hadn’t heard so appreciated reading them. One I do remember is when he said “With all that’s going on in the world today, are you sure its a good time to stop mentioning God in our schools?” I don’t know if he left because of pressure, but I see he is enjoying life by driving his different cars from his huge auto collection, esp. to a local drive-in on weekend nights where everybody knows him.

Mal, my husband and I were driving to Orange County very early one Sunday morning and I looked over and there was Leno driving one of his classics….gave me a big funny smile! I know mechanics who know and love Leno…before he made it so big, he’d come to a friend’s shop and chat for hours about cars…
Did he say that line about God in our schools? Good for him!

I hadn’t considered that Jay Leno was fired since he was very popular, so, don’t know if the legend is true or not. I heared that Jay voted for DingleBarry Obeyme (thanks bocopro!). Guess Jay fell off the Reservation and had to be punished for insubordination.

Oh dear God, another terrorist attack in France. This time in Nice. It’s Bastille Day and a large commercial truck ran over and killed dozens of people. The driver got out of his truck and opened fire after running over people. My God!

Yes, Z, Leno has always had a love affair with cars and everyone knows him and chats with him at I believe its a Big Boy Hamburger Drive in Burbank or Glendale, somewhere like that. He’s known as a regular guy. And yes, he said that. It wasn’t an exact quote, but close enough.

I still say we’re handling this rampant terrorism all wrong. Those troglodytes thrive on the publicity, the clips and fotos showing the carnage, the constantly rising numbers of dead and injured in the mass media, the unending debate over why it happened and how the perp was always such a quiet kid and nobody saw it coming.
The way to handle these things is to simply report that a subhuman pervert caused some innocent people to be killed or wounded and that he was in turn killed. Don’t say how he died, just that his body will be eaten by hogs and the names of the victims will be published in the local newspaper, not the national or international media. Make two reports: one immediately after the event and another a few hours later for anyone who might have missed the first one. Then shut up about it.
ISIS and the Muslim radicals WANT the publicity, the outrage, the terror, the fear, the suspicion, the authorities running around aimlessly trying to make political hay out of it by banning firearms or trying to educate citizens into believing that Islam is a religion of peace while the savages go on merrily with their slaughtering, stoning, beheading, and religious cleansing.
ISIS would love nothing better than for America to repeal the 2nd amendment and begin confiscating privately owned firearms. Soft unarmed targets are SO much easier than people who might shoot back before the body-count quota is achieved. Each time they get all the Shep Smiths and others droning on endlessly about how terrible it all is, they get those thrills running up and down their legs. Don’t give them the satisfaction, OR the recruiting propaganda.

I couldn’t stand that every ‘news’ story about the FBI and the iphone had a picture of those two spider brained human garbage individuals in it. They’re feeding them.

Oh, I donno ’bout that . . . I can be surgically precise and devastatingly destructive with my well-placed and artfully developed profanity. I mean, after all . . . I did 24 years in the Navy, then sharpened my skills with the MA in English education. Quite proud of my coarse, guttural, anglo-saxon gerunds, participles, bathroom-related nouns and verbs, and unidentified flying adjectives.

Congress should officially declare war on ISIS and the likes. So should the French parliament. I don’t know why they don’t do it. And then all mosques, schools, can be monitored as well. Etc… Any message against the French State should be considered treason and people should go to jail immediately. No screwing around.

Z, it just hit me…. can you imagine what our late European spouses would be saying about what’s happened to Europe?
My late Italian hubby would be absolutely beside himself. I read reports today that the idyllic resort town of Lake Como is overrun with Muslim refugees since Switzerland closed its border. Can you imagine all those mega wealthy homeowners having their gazillion dollar palaces being threatened by these animals?
I wonder what Mr. Z would have to say about Angela Merkel flooding the country with Muslims. It’s tragic. Also, the horrible terrorist attacks in Paris and now Nice. It’s just almost more than I can bear.
You know civilized people are going to have to wake up to the truth that these barbaric people cannot be allowed into our countries. We must send them back to their countries and they must stay there. We all must accept it, we cannot live freely and peacefully among them. It’s a death sentence.
