The chief danger that confronts the coming century will be religion without the Holy Ghost,
Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration,
politics without God, heaven without hell.
William Booth
“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.”
― William Saroyan
The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of the blessings. The inherent blessing of socialism is the equal sharing of misery. -- Winston Churchill

I believe in Christianity as I believe the sun has risen; not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else. C. S. Lewis
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14
THERE WILL BE NO THREATS OF ANY KIND AT THIS BLOG, TO POLITICIANS OR OTHER COMMENTERS. thank you.
Reading this story I am reminded of The Prodigal Son and I feel like the older son who says to the father, “How come I don’t get a feast, how come I don’t get to meet Franklin Graham and go fly fishing?”
But I’m glad for the story of this young man and his wife and the Redemption they found.

Ed, that’s life, isn’t it. Some get celebrated and some don’t…I’d be very surprised if every one of us didn’t have this feeling now and again….it’s one of the mysteries and why we know our rewards aren’t here on earth.
My aunt and uncle had Billy Graham over for lunch in 1989; they didn’t invite me 🙂 I never thought anything of it till now that you mention it!!
But yes, we can alll be glad for the Redemption this couple has found…and pray they get involved with others who support and grow them.

A wonderful story. I only wish all returning stressed out vets could visit this Alaskan wilderness and get rehabbed. It also is a testament to the power we possess to heal ourselves through faith, but need the stimulus at the right time to get it going inside us. The timing was right in this couples case.

Mal, I do, too. This is real life and this is what God had in His plans………I applaud Him for what He’s done!
And YES, Mal….I was JUST going to say the following…. “And we ALL have this ability in us to feel His Hand on us…and we ALL are greatly blessed every day” and I read again your comment about “inside us” and realize you had said pretty much just that! That’s the Holy SPirit in us……He’s working! He’s Blessing us…in our own kitchen! It doesn’t have to be Alaska, right?

And the angels in Heaven sang [Probably misquoted if it is but Is that Scripture?] Praise Jesus! Only HE can take this awful baggage called life and carry it for us, and give us eternal life through His perfection. Thank you for sharing such an inspiring story.
Love and Prayers for you and yours today. ~:)

@ Z. YES. RIGHT ON! Folks have been known to do physically impossible things, too, when in trouble without realizing they really can’t do it. Like the girl that saw her brother pinned under a car because the jack slipped and tipped the over car onto his body, but without thinking she picked up one side for him to crawl out. She isn’t suppose to be able to do that………..but did anyway.
