YOUR CHOICE!

YOU CAN PICK ANYBODY FOR PRESIDENT.  ANYBODY.

WHO WOULD IT BE?  And WHY?

Let’s seriously pick people who you believe in enough to be our Commander in Chief…they don’t have to be politicians but they can be.  They can be male or female, of course.  They must be living, no historical figures, and they should have a modicum of believability as far as BEING PRESIDENT!

pig-in-a-poke

GO!  I’m eager to hear…ANYBODY you admire, ANYBODY you want as our President!

    O.K., Ed — how’zis?

John Bolton. Conservative, butt-kickin, no-nonsense, independent-minded, patriotic American. Been around since a US dollar was worth nearly 50 cents. Served as US ambassador to the UN as a recess appointee by Shrub II. Left the post when the Senate made grumbling noises about not confirming him on a permanent basis for his unrelenting common sense approach to world affairs.

He is a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a senior advisor for Freedom Capital Investment Management, a FoxNews analyst/commentator, and a stand-up dude whose idea of handling pipsqueaks such as Kadaffy Duck, Sodom Insane, and BatEar al Asswipe is to write their names down on a piece of tissue paper, strike a bold line through them, and then use the paper for what it was originally intended.

    My kinda guy.

Bolton is experienced, having been around politics since basically forever in D.C. but somehow managed to remain uncontaminated by the insidious bacterium in the water which converts otherwise decent public servants into greedy, self-serving partisan hacks. He regularly touches base with and is involved in studies with several think tanks and policy institutes, including the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs, the NRA, the US Commission on International Religious Freedom, the Council for National Policy, and the Gatestone Institute.

Liberals find him devious and dangerous for his refusal to play by the rules they have consecrated, including coverup, spin, lie, deny, and accuse, preferring instead to simply go with the truth up front and let the chips fall where they will.

Only possible drawback is that he, like most high muckity-mucks in D.C. these days, is a lawyer. But even with that stench and stigma on him, he regularly comes across as the exception rather than the rule and is completely unafraid to call a spade a spade, a liar a liar, and a petty dictator an ——-.

Not necessarily the GOP. The article I read (rather lengthy) poses fear and self-preservation by the entrenched power brokers could result in an “assassination” attempt.

Here are the first 5 paragraphs:

“They will kill him before they let him be president. It could be a Republican or a Democrat that instigates the shutting up of Trump.
Don’t be surprised if Trump has an accident. Some people are getting very nervous: Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton and Jon Corzine, to name just a few.
It’s about the unholy dynamics between big government, big business, and big media. They all benefit by the billions of dollars from this partnership, and it’s in all of their interests to protect one another. It’s one for all and all for one. It’s a heck of a filthy relationship that makes everyone filthy rich, everyone except the American people. We get ripped off. We’re the patsies. But for once, the powerful socialist cabal and the corrupt crony capitalists are scared. The over-the-top reaction to Trump by politicians of both parties, the media, and the biggest corporations of America has been so swift and insanely angry that it suggests they are all threatened and frightened.
Donald Trump can self-fund. No matter how much they say to the contrary, the media, business, and political elite understand that Trump is no joke. He could actually win and upset their nice cozy apple cart.
It’s no coincidence that everyone has gotten together to destroy The Donald. It’s because most of the other politicians are part of the a good old boys club. They talk big, but they won’t change a thing. They are all beholden to big-money donors. They are all owned by lobbyists, unions, lawyers, gigantic environmental organizations, and multinational corporations – like Big Pharmacy or Big Oil. Or they are owned lock, stock, and barrel by foreigners like George Soros owns Obama or foreign governments own Hillary and their Clinton Foundation donations.”

Bennett has disclaimed authorship of the article, but it says several things a lotta people believe.

A fluke in the system got Trump the nomination, just like a fluke got Bill Clinton elected for his first term.

My ideals are crushed, and I am disappointed that Carly Fiorina didn’t get any traction in the primaries. Rubio was one of my favorites, but he fell along the way.

Imp – I generally agree with everything you say, but when you’re a candidate for POTUS of this nation, if you unceasingly verbally fellate dictators and autocrats of other nations, in a co partite mode with our Republic……that’s a problem. Nobody is saying that other nations shouldn’t decide [unfortunately, most don’t have that option] to be ruled by autocrats. And as long as you’re not the political, religious or social opposition/minority, you’re probably fine.

But the fact remains, civil liberties and freedom of the press and political opposition in Russia, are deplorable. And one of of major Presidential candidates can’t stop telegraphing his man crush on the Russian “strongman”. So why is refraining from nation building a good thing [to which I agree], but colonizing a parcel of foreign land to rape the resources, likewise a good thing? Both positions of Trump. Of course, Trumps not sharp enough to realize that his praise of Saddam Hussein refutes one of the key neocon excuses of invading Iraq….to which he has taken 3 to 4 different positions on.

BTW, “we” [as expressed by “me”] do not not want a “strongman” as a national leader. We’ve had a never ending string of people with desires of such. And we find ourselves in a worse state.

I’m to see you say that. I think my previous comment was specifically to Trump not knowing what the Quds Force was, and while I didn’t give him any grief at the time….QF [or more formally IRGC] is the primary Iranian force inside Iraq, and the prime supporter of Jaysh al-Mahdi [JAN] back in 2005-2011, who were killing many of our forces.

I found the media coverage of Johnson’s gaffe unbelievably overblown given two point’s: the U.S. does’t have a policy on Aleppo, it has a policy on Syria, so the question was misleading to being with, and secondly……Trump has made Iranian influence a staple in his rhetoric against Obama’s policies and actions [real or perceived] regarding Iraq. Johnson has not done likewise regarding Syria, other than to argue for non-intervention there.

I’m not sure why the media had a bee in their bonnet over this, other than my opinion that third party threats to the duopoly hurst their business model. They thrive on strife between team A and team B. Team C merely muddies that waters.
