Trump, Rubio, Clinton and FLORIDA

palm-treesClinton is way ahead in Florida among Hispanics.  So is Rubio, who’s up for reelection.

THIS is a fascinating article I urge you to read…. here’s my question:

Does Rubio have the guts to campaign for himself and ask his fellow Hispanic voters to vote for TRUMP?   Can he do that and win himself?

I’d love to know what you all think!  It hit me that he just might not want to do that…..

This sickens me a little : “The poll shows Rubio and Murphy tied among English speakers, but he leads Murphy by 16 points among Spanish speakers.”    Rubio is tied among English speakers with MURPHY?  So all he’s really got going there for himself is his ancestry?

This is even WORSE and why I published this story today:  “Here’s the reality,” a top Republican involved in organizing Florida’s get-out-the-vote effort for Trump and Rubio said. “If Clinton gets the same margins as Obama did in Florida, she’s probably the next president.”

THOUGHTS?

Ahh, at this point, what DIFference does it make!

I’ve long believed that the great majority of Murkans who bother to cast a ballot are single-issue zealots — abortion, entitlements, economy, defense . . . you name it.

In that light, I reckon language is equally valid to most of the other motivators.

Unless and until some outside agent comes in and bloodies our collective nose again, we are irreconcilably divided as a nation; our legislative body is perpetually gridlocked by partisanship; our system of choosing leaders has degenerated into a vaudevillian popularity contest driven by obscenely wealthy movers and shakers; Christianity has been driven from schools and other government buildings, the floodgates are locked open for influx of impoverished, unskilled, unassimilable followers of a stone-age moon god who want to dismantle our society and install their 7th century paradigm in its place; average citizens are afraid to express themselves honestly for fear of being branded racist or being sued; and special interest groups have a choke-hold on power and wealth.

We needs us a nasty enemy to amalgamize us again like as Pearl Harbor did in ’41, back when we still actually manufactured something other than political correctness and nuisance lawsuits and social justice movements based on unfounded myth.

Maybe if we taught some skills classes in high school instead of PC and revisionist history and had some meaningful college-degree-completion programs instead of 17th century Basque Lesbian poetry and certificates for “Would you like fries with that?” and stopped funding sanctuary cities and abortion clinics and put some sensible limits on food stamps and welfare and subsidized housing and . . . and maybe the moon will fall into the Pacific near Santa Barbara and render it all moot.

People can ‘support’ all they want. What matters is what is legal and Constitutional. One of your commenters supported banning Mosques [in effect criminalizing a religion]. It’s the other side of the same noise. My comment was in response to the alleged “my Islamists”.

The fervor over what Shari’a that does exist within this country is focused on, but not clearly explained by the pundits and folks who owe their employment to this issue, is voluntary arbitration, no different in practice than Hasidic Beth din’s.

As long as we stand by the Constitution [ensure it is follow, not usurped by any extremist] it will stand nicely against anyone who truly wishes to change the nature of the Republic.

Both were sneak attacks. Both killed approx. the same number of Americans. Both solidified the people. The difference? Then we went back to complacency, and even elected as our next President a man that sympathizes with Muslims, the very people that caused 9/11! Its a different time and we are a different people. And women generally kept most of their clothes on except when swimmin. And we had party lines instead of gossip tabloids, and Christmas carolers instead of BLM and Gay Rights marches, and radio instead of TV, and cars with footstarters and clutchpedals, and girls smelled like Lifebuoy, Doublemint, and cheap perfume . . . KID: My German stepson just emailed me…the vacation thing is true…he said he could “shake his head 35 hours a day at what’s going on in Germany”….he said, in Berlin, some leftwing nutcase artist wanted to build a statue in a park there dedicated to the TRAUMATIZED DRUG DEALER…..thankfully, though it had a following, it got shot down. There are absolutely persons and groups that will try to support institutional Shari’a law in they country. They will fail. The use of foreign law is already illegal within the U.S. justice system. Aside from being spurred by a chain e-mails about an Islamic Tribunal in the Irving area, this recent vote [in support of failed [HB 562] followed a very similar 2010 effort which was ruled unconstitutional.

There is indeed an Islamic Tribunal that convenes in the Irving area, one which acts under the protection of the 1925 Federal Arbitration Act, just as Rabbinic Beth din’s and Catholic diocesan tribunals.

I would fight an actual [as in involuntary] institution of any religious law in this nation, down to the last round. I would hope my fellow countrymen would do likewise, but to keep their powder dry over non-issues.

That, I believe, is a significant factor of our problem: people don’t SEE the problem. They’ve bought into the myth that “Islam is a religion of peace” when history for the past 14 centuries tells us precisely the opposite. They’re still patiently waiting for the “moderate” Muslims to rise up and demand a “Reformation” to rid the cult of its barbaric elements which demand beheadings and stonings and full-body shrouds and “Death to Israel!” I’d rather wait for the Second Coming.

The “war” of retribution in Iraq and Afghanistan has been so poorly managed and dragged on for so long that most have simply lost interest in it and moved on, buying into the propaganda that Islam is good and it wasn’t the Persian or Saudi governments who encouraged and funded those guys who’ve been blowing up things and flying planes into buildings and raining SCUDS on Israel and cleansing their territories of Christians while we merely cluck our tongues and wring our hands occasionally in the hope that if we’re nice to them they’ll slaughter us last.

ISIS is considered a ragtag bunch of nuts by many Murkans; hell, our super-educated and hopey-changey leader told us so . . . and besides that, according to Jacques Fargin Querrie, we’re steadily reducing their numbers, diminishing their territory, and confiscating their wealth. So what’s to worry.

Now, if we had an American president and somebody like Iran actually sank one of our carriers or shot down some of our planes, then the pro-American propaganda machine could be cranked up to max and people would fly those little flags on their cars again.

‘Course if Shrillary takes the baton from DingleBarry, it’ll just be keep on keepin on leftista policies and in five years we’ll be so broke that we won’t even HAVE a military and China can dictate terms to us, in the Pacific and the world economic centers.

CI — Well, not to engage in comment warfare, but, yes . . . you are misreading me to some degree. I won’t go into detail on that except to say that I’m categorizing, not broadbrushing Americans, lumping them into those who drink the Kool-Aid, those who see the inherent incompatibility of Islam and the US Constitution, those who believe that our leadership has completely misread the Middle East problem for decades (I amongst those), those who don’t read history, those who want open borders, and those who would Caedite Eos; Allah suos agnoscet.

As for our sitting PotUS, he was born of a flakey flower child mother by a drunken British subject in a society which had as much connection with American culture as Pancho Villa, spent many years in a Muslim nation with a Muslim stepfather and attended Muslim schools, came back to Hawaii to join a choom gang, and then spent several years with mysterious funding during which he developed several Muslim friends and traveled to Pakistan for reasons unknown. As a teenager he was mentored by Frank Marshall Davis, whom he quotes in his own “auto”biographies which were almost certainly written by domestic terrorist Bill Ayers. Once ensconced in the Resolute Desk, he set about exacerbating race relations in the US to correspond to a 1950s milieu.

I do not propose war. I’ve seen war. It sucks. And it’s terribly expensive. But infusing tens of thousands of unvetted Muslims with no demonstrable skills, assets, or loyalties into our already overextended entitlement system seems suicidal, n’est ce-pas?

Perhaps not all male Muslims are terrorists, but a great percentage of terrorist attacks throughout the world in recent decades have been executed by male Muslims. And, no . . . most “moderate” Muslims do not want to kill us and destroy our society so that Shari’a can become the law of the land; they merely want radical Muslims to do it for them.

Fire away. I may not, however, respond.

And, by the way, I haven’t heard of Catholic or Rabbinical tribunals looking to overlook the Constitution for laws like multiple wives, etc… have you?

You skirted the larger issue of course, but no I haven’t. I’m not aware of Catholicism of Judaism condoning such practices to begin with, nor am I aware of Islamic tribunals sanctioning a multiple wives in this nation. But I have no more an issue with them doing such outside the law, than I do Mormons doing likewise. So, it would appear that the consensus here is that State approved religious arbitration is OK….but not for Islam? Let’s hope that the precedent doesn’t come back and bite.

When we can feel that muslim terrorism is a ‘non issue’….

Of course, I think you know that I was referring to the Irving council resolution.

Sure…but we’re not that crap hole. We have a Constitution that other nations [especially Muslim] don’t have. Many of those nations have strict and severe laws regarding the practice of other faiths, like Christianity. You’re not desiring to emulate those, are you?

  44. But to deny there are problems in Islam and Sharia Law isn’t being tried here and there in this country, BY MUSLIMS , is just uninformed.

Do you not think that I addressed this previously? Where I said there are certainly those who would seek such, but the only Shari’a that exists currently, are those voluntary arbitration contracts? Where you YOU believe that I’m “uniformed”?

Baysider, I don’t remember. Most Armenians were hard core Democrats, so it would be interesting if they voted nationality over ideology!? I know MY family voted Deukmejian..he was practically raised in my grandparents’ home because he had no father and he and my dad were friends….He attended Dad’s funeral….wonderful man. Plus, we are mostly Republicans; except for one; my sister who attended Berkeley! (surprise!)

I don’t know how they voted either, Z. I had already moved to Washington State when he ran.
I was pretty much absent Wed. from blogging due to activities involving my turning 88. Or as my daughter told me last night, “double snowman” which I thought was funny!
