“Blessed are You, Adonai our God
Who forms the human body with wisdom
And creates within it a miraculous combination
Of organs and arteries, tissues and sinews.
It is known before Your throne of glory
That if one of these were to be open where it should be closed
Or closed where it should be open
We would not be able to stand before you and offer praises.

Blessed are You, Adonai, creator of embodied miracles!”

This is a Jewish prayer my Rabbi friend sent me …  I thought it was beautiful and the sentiment was amazing……….He keeps us in one piece, this miracle of the human body, to stand before Him and praise Him………..what a sentiment.

I hope it touches you, too.  I believe it also reminds us of the comfort that He holds our lives in His hands…

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”  Revelation 4:11

Happy Birthday, Daddy…I love you and miss you very, very much.

SO glad you captured that, Baysider, and SO well!…those are exactly the right adjectives… the thought that He sews us together and keeps us whole so we can praise Him….very reassuring…Kind of a huge double blessings..We’re knit together to honor Him and we’re lucky, for ourselves, to be knit together so well………..
