B’lieve I’d rather see Newt on SCotUS and Bolton as SecState. Certainly wouldn’t object to Newt in any high-level capacity, but both he and Cruz belong on the court rather than in political or international hoohahs.

Pirro is a confrontationalist and clearly anti-anything left of William F. Buckley. She’s a prosecutor by nature, not a jurist. Ditto for Napolitano: prefers discussin to decidin.

Clarke is sharp enough to be FBI Director, and I’d have no quarrel with him in almost any job related to keeping the barbarians outside the gate and thugs off the streets.

Not sure West is completely ready for a job that big, but I can think of a whole lot who’d do worse than he would.

Giuliani’s gettin pretty slow these days. Not sure his mind is as sharp as it was just a few years ago. Gettin a slight whiff of late-term Reagan from him. He’s earned the job, but not confident he’s up to it any more.

And there’ always been somethin about Pence that just don’t seem completely kosher. Can’t put my finger on it . . . a kinda gut-feelin thing. Absolutely no comparison, tho, with Citizen Kaine and his vast notions based on half-vast ideas. Pence is obviously the moderator, the safety valve, the mature adult for a Trump administration, but . . . he bugs me somehow. Not as much as Gropey Joe or Pope Algore, tho — kinda like Cheney bothered me but I never could nail down whatever loose flap there was with him.

Oh, well . . . we’re all flawed humans. Like me, for instance: I’ve been wrong before. I clearly remember a rainy spring day ‘long ’bout 1956 when I thought I’d made a bad decision on somethin, but I was mistaken. Think it had somethin to do with a girl who tasted all right but had a rotten core that nearly confused me for a while. Myra — that was her name. She liked shiny things.

Ah . . . backward, turn backward, O time in thy flight. Ou sont les coquettes d’antan.

RE THE BLOG POSTER: I am not a big Pirro fan, but we don’t hear much from Supreme Court Justices so it might work! I don’t have to hear that ‘thug talk accent’ like O’Reilly has.!!

Ya, those ARE the people Conservatives like, ergo, it’s like a FOX News Poster. I wouldn’t expect to see any of them on any MSNBC or CNN poster 🙂

FB: Have you sold and moved or just looking around at this point?

Sparky.. Ya, Napolitano’s okay….glad you looked at the food blog!

Ed, I’m not a Hannity fan anymore and I’m not sure he could take that HEAT…on the other hand, he WOULD drive the lib news people MAD with his posturing and what I call his “doggie with the pant leg…” chewing and NEVER letting go of the SAME THING..OVER AND OVER AGAIN. They’d get NOTHING out of him but constant unending sycophantic love of Trump as the response to EVERY question. Trump would LOVE that, I’m sure.

Bocopro: I get the same feeling about Pence, but try to ignore it because I think he’s mostly a good guy. But i have to say your comparison to Cheney brought Pence UP in my estimation because while Cheney’s been a little enigmatic, I have always trusted him COMPLETELY. I haven’t seen what you describe in Giuilani but will check it out next time I see him.

    Re Pence/Cheney:

My younger son told me, and both his sisters tend to agree, that what bothers me most about Cheney is that he’s too much like me in too many ways. My older daughter (Elizabeth, or Liz) went so far as to remind me that not only was he born within hours of me but has a daughter named Liz.

My other daughter added that we’re both deliberate and considerate but irascible old bastards who suspect everybody of everything all the time.

Guess I raised my kids with a touch too much candor and honesty. I don’t “suspect” people; I just believe that most of ’em often bear close watchin.

My oldest son says I remind him of Rush Limbaugh with a piece of chalk in one hand and a ruler in the other. Not entirely sure how to take that.

I’m OK with it but I’d rather see Bolton as Sec. of State and I’d also rather see Carson as Sec. of Health and Human Services, if the cabinet post continues to exist. I’ve always thought of Surgeon General as more of a figure head, maybe I’m wrong. Carson’s remarkable resourcefulness would be better served elsewhere. Finally, Newt would do well in some sort of an advisory capacity (think a modified version of Chief of Staff). All of that said, the organization as portrayed above would certainly be an improvement over the past >7 years or anything that Shrillary would come-up with!

Hillary can say whatever she wants but I think at this point, everything that comes out of her mouth is seen as lie. When reading Twitter responses to her, you clearly see she’s lost the social media and perception battle this week. Trump has done something that not many people have done before: take over the emotion of people. Usually that’s the monopoly of the left. And for that, I applaud him. It’s a lesson the GOP needs to learn for the years to come.

FB, I believe you’re right….people are really getting on to her lies…
I also agree with your EMOTION comment. I often say he’s given “permission” for Conservatives to really speak as they’d like to have for years….to be BLUNT, to say “NO ILLEGALS” and feel that comeback we’ve had for years “SO YOU HATE IMMIGRANTS?” can’t intimidate us anymore.

Republicans haven’t been emotional OR articulate enough…..of course, we don’t want to run a country on EMOTIONS, but we must rile people UP with emotion…getting their deepest thoughts out, voting with our hearts again.

    Ed, SO GOOD, isn’t it?

JMB: Good point…Surgeon Gen. does seem more figurehead than the other position…true. We’d want Carson more productive than in a figurehead position…

I’ll go with bocopro, mostly, on this one. None of the Fox News characters are what I want on the cabinet. Well, I think Trey Gowdy is absolutely super and would make a great attorney general. He’s not in the picture, but I believe Christ Christie would do great. Or, how about Christie for Secretary of State? We need someone really kick-ass and Chris fills that bill. The EPA needs a strong person to empty that cavern of snakes, and maybe Herman Cain could take care off that little problem. So, how about Homeland Security? We have a great candidate named Carlie Fiorina, who could wade into that mess and manage to not only build the wall in record time, but she is just the person to manage that so-called impossible immigration problem. She is an extraordinary manager.

Secretary of Defense? Unfortunately, Donald Rumsfeld and Dick Cheney, two of the very best this nation has ever had, are a bit long in the tooth. General Jack Keane always impresses me as a Fox News military analyst, but I don’t know of any of those hundreds of retired and active generals that might fill the job.

Commerce? How about Carlie Fiorina. She is smart and knows how to negotiate.
Labor Secretary certainly needs to go to Newt Gingrich. That’ll show them. He’s fair.
