A truth of Africa and what’s happening now….getting away for a day from American politics!

Check out THIS ARTICLE.   It got me going because I’m BIG on thoughts about Africa AND I have some second hand knowledge most don’t have because of my interest. Plus, I thought we needed a total break from THE ELECTION.  Please read down the article, it’s more interesting than I think you might think it is!  Here’s a bit from the link:

“Harare – Zimbabwe’s environment minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri has reportedly said that the southern African country has become one of the “dirtiest countries in the region”.  According to New Zimbabwe, Muchinguri-Kashiri said this while addressing a press conference in Harare.

Muchinguri-Kashiri said that although the colonial government was cruel to black people, they managed their surroundings well and knowledgeably”.  She said that the situation across the country was deplorable.

“Something has gone wrong with us Zimbabweans. Zimbabweans are living dangerously. We cannot live luxuriously like this and forget that we are humans. The white person was cruel, but had vast knowledge on how to live in a community and care for its surroundings,” Machinguri-Kashiri was quoted saying.”

So, ZIMBABWE….which was Rhodesia, once a thriving bread capital of Africa, and which is now a total mess and has been, basically, since Mugabe took over, is recognizing that there’s life-threatening disease and utter filth since the colonial government, which was “cruel to black people,”  as ousted.

Is it me, or do you, too, think Mugabe is “cruel to black people,”...but now they have a cruel leadership AND life-threatening illness growing out of a cesspool the people there have created for years since Whites moved out?

The article also includes “Now with Cholera, Typhoid and disease outbreaks, the blacks are starting to acknowledge it. They say they are busy turning Zimbabwe into a desert.”

The linked article’s writers is angry,  that’s clear, but I’d be angry, too.   South Africa was SO beautiful and safe until the White leadership was ousted and now you can barely walk on the streets of Johannesburg at night for fear of being robbed, raped or killed.  Not just Whites, but everyone is threatened with that awful development.   I say “development” but it’s not a recent development, this has gone on for years now.

Mandela is known as a huge hero, the socialist supposed champion of Blacks in Africa, who served so many years and became an even bigger hero after that, but, while I believe Africa should be in the hands of its larger population, that being Black Africans, nothing was done on their part to do slow and intelligent transition and this has ALWAYS BOTHERED ME SO MUCH, hence my publishing an article I happened to see today which hasn’t much to do with America.   It’s a pet peeve of MINE.

I knew White Africans who had big working farms with huge populations of Blacks working for them.  When they were told they had to let them free, do you know most of their Blacks didn’t want TO GO FREE?  They loved the Fletchers and begged them to let them STAY.  THOSE BLACKS UNDERSTOOD they were SAFE, DISEASE-FREE, HAPPY and could raise healthy children in and around the Fletcher plantation.   They were taught by observing for themselves how to run a property well.

This is what Africa needed…….to slowly let the Whites teach them, help them, stop whatever discrimination there had been…thrive!  Instead, when I lived in Paris, I lived near many embassies and would routinely see very rich Black ambassadors and their staffs dressed very expensively, driven by chauffeurs in Rolls Royce’s, etc……….while their people suffered badly back at home.

I’m not sure most of you will be reading down this far, so I hesitate to publish this piece but, for those of you who are, this isn’t a “All Blacks are bad and can’t even take care of themselves”,  Not at ALL……The purpose of this article is to point out the horrible treatment OF Blacks BY Blacks who DO NOT want the best for their people but pushed out the Whites, many of whom HAD mistreated Black Africa for years….but could have been deployed to HELP as independence came, as segregation was eliminated (something good that Mandela DID do)………

One more thing:  I heard a missionary who lived in Zimbabwe when Mugabe took over….she said he’ll declare a holiday from work…Oh BOY!…then he closes ALL gas stations down so nobody can get anywhere.  THIS is “Black Leadership” in the once thriving country of Rhodesia, now the DUMP called Zimbabwe.

Thoughts?

ED,,,the war gives me hope in the FBI again; some of them want JUSTICE, not just going along with the HRC machine. And, yes, good for Baier.

The Cubs win could be the ONLY thing making Hillary Clinton smile today.

TRUMP BLEW IT AGAIN in my book…He FINALLY gets it right and sticks to script and doesn’t blow a speech, but then said yesterday “Ya, they want me to STICK TO THE SCRIPT…me….gaaaa….well, I’ll stick to what they want me to say… it isn’t easy”
He couldn’t even take credit for fairly good speeches…he had to remind those of us on the fence about him and finally liking him a bit more based on his latest speeches that that’s not REALLY HIM. Oh, God, HELP US :=) He won’t be Hillary, thank GOD, but he could just become THE worst, most uncivil, undignified president in our history. I predict that. So sadly …

You wanna argue with me, you’re gonna hafta change the subject. With very few exceptions, the biggest tragedy ever to hit the African continent was replacement of white government by black thugs. Zimbabwe, once the bread basket for southern Africa, is now a basket case which has to import food and can’t afford to do so.

The second worst thing has been Islam, a deliberately anti-modernizing cancerous mindset which preFERS that simple people live in disease-infested 7th century conditions and burn dung for fuel while the elite inhabit the oases and ride around in the air-conditioned Mercedes on their way to their jewelers’ and tailors’ shops.

@ Ed: “There’s a war going on at the FBI.”

Smart people predicted this. Obama’s JustUs Ministry rolled Comey back in July. They scuttled his investigation by handing out immunity to the perps and setting up impossible rules. JustUs refused to open a grand jury, guaranteeing there would be no indictments and preventing such things as testimony under oath.

Obama’s political hacks can play those games, but the FBI rank and file ferociously guard their reputation of incorruptibility. This is what legitimate, legal revenge looks like.

Z: Apologies for going off topic. I know people from Central Africa. The corruption is horrible.

This should be a warning to people. Clean, well-functioning societies don’t just happen, they take hard work, discipline and many other virtues. They are also rare. As Hobbes said, Man’s natural state of life is nasty, brutish and short.

Western governments are criminally-insane for importing such people and their misery, misogyny, poverty, illiteracy, innumeracy, superstitions and backwards ways.

Order in the universe takes resources, energy and discipline to continue. Chaos is easy, cheap and enticing to the lazy. Rhodesia was run by Europeans who were raised in an orderly, civilized culture that was developed over many centuries. Remember, the Saxons whose ancestors eventually governed Rhodesia, were nothing more than barbarians themselves, much like those who now rule Zimbabwe. But they evolved. It’s so easy to back slide, as every human is inclined to take the path of least resistance, and I have to repeat this point: chaos is easy, order takes work.

How about them Cubbies? Been awhile since they hoisted a championship trophy.

Did you all read down to the part I put in RED about Mugabe? he’s THAT AWFUL!

fredd, I am not a particular Chicago fan but I was uncharacteristically excited about THEIR WIN (particularly since my own Dodgers had to lose to get them there !!!) I am SO happy for the CUBS!! SO GOOD…. so WONDERFUL to see the team SO happy as they won…just the GREATEST!!! We need more happiness like that in AMERICA!
Maybe this is a harbinger of……….BETTER THINGS TO COME? I HOPE SO!

Silver, a good friend and kind of mentor of Comey’s, a past law partner, was on Kelly’s show last night and stood up for him BIG TIME. Something in THIS woman’s intuition has told me COMEY IS A GOOD MAN and I was starting to flag on that opinion, but his friend explained pretty well what’s happened and I agree….Comey is not wrong.

RE AFRICA: Same thing happened in India…the WHITES LEFT TOO QUICKLY…GOT OUT OF POWER TOO QUICKLY….leaving people with NO CLUE running HUGE countries….running them into the dirty ground……….thanks to Mandela , in Africa, by the way. (Boy, Mr. Z had SUCH a thing against Mandela that he was horrified when he died and I was crying for him…..he changed my mind, honestly…tho I do believe Mandela wasn’t a bad or corrupt man, just misguided..too eager for good that should have waited and THEN become good…after getting HELP FROM WHITES … I’m rambling.,I digress)

AFRICANS should have taken what they’d learned under white rule and run with it..educated themselves, looked to those who’d been there keeping them fed and successful for direction.
Instead, they got people like Mugabe………..shudder

Our Church has been sending missionaries to Zimbabwe, so, yeah, we’ve heard all the stories. When people are willing to turn from devil worship (socialism / communism / tribalism) and accept Jesus Christ, then real changes can be made. Until then, it’s just a Straw Man. Please pray for our missionaries? They’ve putting themselves at great risk to get people saved and bring about real change. Thank you for bringing this to everyone’s attention.
Off subject, how about those Cubs? I wish Harry Carey was still here to shout, “Cubs Win! Cubs Win!” I’ll bet he was rejoicing in Heaven over this one. 🙂

Z: I excoriated Comey at the time. I could come up with no other reason for his actions than that they had corrupted him. Once it all came out about how Obama’s politicized Justice Department stymied the FBI investigation, it all came clear, and I a sorry for what I said about him.

I still can’t believe the Obama-Clinton Corruption Machine was so arrogant they thought they could roll the FBI… Stunning.

On Topic: I feel for the poor of Africa who are shackled with the crooks in power. It is probably a natural outcome for people who are ignorant, and have no clue with running a country is all about, let alone, a country where people are free. Plus, ISLAM is taking its toll. Wherever you hear of murder or violence in Africa, ISLAM is at the root of it. This is a double whammy for Africa.

The world has pumped so much money into Africa and it seems that the situation is getting worse. Every church group sends missionaries to African country to show people how to dig wells, plow the ground, and raise babies. This has been going on all my life. Is there no hope for Africa? It just doesn’t look that way. Now, the climate crazies do not want to all Africans to generate their own electric power. White environmentalists are perfectly happy for Africans to cook their meals over open fires of wood, or animal dung.

Off Topic: Dan Henninger of The Wall Street Journal said today on Fox News that there will probably be a big “Trump Dump” of anti-Trump stuff in the next few days. I would think it would be now, but we will see. Apparently, the FBI stuff is really getting to Hillary in the polls. She has to do something.

I don’t know what more to say about this. The facts speak for themselves.

It reminds me of a South American country where the social/commies nationalized foreign industries. After just a few years, a change in government occurred, and they invited companies back. One was a chemical firm that handled toxic and dangerous materials under stringent risk management criteria that complied with their insurance company’s requirements. They returned to hazardous conditions that required immediate and extensive remediation. The guys who ‘got it for free’ let it go to pot. (This also reminds me of the school bond elections in California – perennially begging for $$$ for maintenance!! as if such a need was a shocking new discovery. But I digress.)

The point of this story: Zimbabwe is in TROUBLE because they’re not going to give their country back. Or acquire the attitudes of the occupation, either, it appears.

AOW – one of the ways colonialism benefitted many countries was trade. We always heard “well, they got colonies as captive markets for their goods.” Tom Sowell has documented it’s just the opposite. He cited a large African nation that was maybe 5% of Britain’s trade. But Britain was more like 90% of the colony’s trade. While British nationals gained extensively from this – I’m not blind – the local trades and economies were elevated by markets they could not reach before. In Africa particularly, intra-continental trading was fraught with difficulties, such as poor internal river navigation, which the colonizers overcame with superior shipping and transportation.

Again, it was the brilliant Tom Sowell who pointed out that the ‘tutoring’ of the prospective African civil servant class occurred at a point where the socialist mindset had captured the Brits’ system and they were a terrible influence on their colonial mandarins. They taught them a lot that was WRONG. Gosh, I listen to most of my books, or I would look up this reference. It was damning.

Darn, you gotta be ancient, at least my age. It was after we moved to Atlanta that Dale Murphy played for the Braves, and who can ever forget Joe Montana with the 49’ers? Bill Russell? Now, that’s too much. At least you have some good memories of professional sports before arrogant quarterbacks would not stand for the National Anthem.

Baysider, I don’t see how my point contradicts Sowell….but I doubt Africans would be even where they are today had colonials not helped in setting up cities, governments, etc. They could have taught them ‘wrong’, no thing and no people are perfect, but these people should never have been cut loose with only big hopes….they simply don’t have it in them, somehow.
