Kevin Dowd, yes, Liberal Maureen’s brother, wrote this…

And Maureen found the guts to publish it in her NY Times article of Nov 26….I think you’ll like it.  I’m amazed she published it….and believe she didn’t really hate all it said!  Apparently, her whole family is (drum roll) Conservative!  And she affectionately refers to them as “my little basket of deplorables!”   HERE is her whole article, the following is her brother’s piece: (Z; those words in bold are my emphasis of things I particularly liked):

Donald Trump pulled off one of the greatest political feats in modern history by defeating Hillary Clinton and the vaunted Clinton machine.

The election was a complete repudiation of Barack Obama: his fantasy world of political correctness, the politicization of the Justice Department and the I.R.S., an out-of-control E.P.A., his neutering of the military, his nonsupport of the police and his fixation on things like transgender bathrooms. Since he became president, his party has lost 63 House seats, 10 Senate seats and 14 governorships.

The country had signaled strongly in the last two midterms that they were not happy. The Dems’ answer was to give them more of the same from a person they did not like or trust.

Preaching — and pandering — with a message of inclusion, the Democrats have instead become a party where incivility and bad manners are taken for granted, rudeness is routine, religion is mocked and there is absolutely no respect for a differing opinion. This did not go down well in the Midwest, where Trump flipped three blue states and 44 electoral votes.

The rudeness reached its peak when Vice President-elect Mike Pence was booed by attendees of “Hamilton” and then pompously lectured by the cast. This may play well with the New York theater crowd but is considered boorish and unacceptable by those of us taught to respect the office of the president and vice president, if not the occupants.

Here is a short primer for the young protesters. If your preferred candidate loses, there is no need for mass hysteria, canceled midterms, safe spaces, crying rooms or group primal screams. You might understand this better if you had not received participation trophies, undeserved grades to protect your feelings or even if you had a proper understanding of civics. The Democrats are now crying that Hillary had more popular votes. That can be her participation trophy.

If any of my sons had told me they were too distraught over a national election to take an exam, I would have brought them home the next day, fearful of the instruction they were receiving. Not one of the top 50 colleges mandate one semester of Western Civilization. Maybe they should rethink that.

Mr. Trump received over 62 million votes, not all of them cast by homophobes, Islamaphobes, racists, sexists, misogynists or any other “ists.” I would caution Trump deniers that all of the crying and whining is not good preparation for the coming storm. The liberal media, both print and electronic, has lost all credibility. I am reasonably sure that none of the mainstream print media had stories prepared for a Trump victory. I watched the networks and cable stations in their midnight meltdown.

The media’s criticism of Trump’s high-level picks as “not diverse enough” or “too white and male” — a day before he named two women and offered a cabinet position to an African-American — magnified this fact.

Here is a final word to my Democratic friends. The election is over. There will not be a do-over. So let me bid farewell to Al Sharpton, Ben Rhodes and the Clintons. Note to Cher, Barbra, Amy Schumer and Lena Dunham: Your plane is waiting. And to Jon Stewart, who talked about moving to another planet: Your spaceship is waiting. To Bruce Springsteen, Jay Z, Beyoncé and Katy Perry, thanks for the free concerts. And finally, to all the foreign countries that contributed to the Clinton Foundation, there will not be a payoff or a rebate.

As Eddie Murphy so eloquently stated in the movie “48 Hrs.”: “There’s a new sheriff in town.” And he is going to be here for 1,461 days. Merry Christmas.

Correction: December 18, 2016
The Maureen Dowd column on Nov. 27 misstated the circumstances in which the MSNBC host Rachel Maddow told viewers that they were not having a “terrible, terrible dream” and that they had not died and “gone to hell.” Ms. Maddow made those comments on Oct. 7 after the release of the “Access Hollywood” tape in which Donald Trump spoke about groping women, not on election night.

Z:  DID YOU LOVE THIS, TOO??  I love it and the delicious irony that it’s MAUREEN DOWD’S BROTHER !

Thanks for sharing this, Z. It did make me smile. Barack Obama and “his fantasy world of political correctness” is coming to a screeching halt very soon now. God Bless us, everyone! 🙂

  2. Angel says:

brilliant Z!!! ( sorry but if you comment honey..I will take you out of the spam…I still don’t know why that happens!!) xoxoxoxox

  3. John M. Berger says:

“The election was a complete repudiation of Barack Obama: …………………………………………………..”

That paragraph, in its totality, is perhaps the best summation of the out-going Fraud in Chief’s attempt to destroy this Nation which is now, hopefully, the rebound!

  4. Spot on! Especially these two portions:

The election was a complete repudiation of Barack Obama: his fantasy world…

and The country had signaled strongly in the last two midterms that they were not happy. The Dems’ answer was to give them more of the same from a person they did not like or trust.

It seems that those in the Cult of Obama are incapable of understanding political and societal reality. They need to get over themselves.

Those of you who remember UPTOWN STEVE from FrontpageMag commenting days will not be surprised at this comment he made which goes into my ‘pending file’ and will not be approved for publication because I hate non-thinking, uninformed liberal pablum to comment here, but I just had to share for the laugh. Here’s his comment:

“Repudiation my ass. Hillary recieved more than 2.5 million more votes than Drumpf and the Russians tampered with the election in Drumpfs favor. But gloat now righties because after this orange faced buffoon is through screwing this country up, you’ll be ready to elect Elizabeth Warren.”

misspellings, name-calling, insults, ….and misunderstanding of the law. Good job, Uptown…you haven’t changed. Tell your believing Grandmother Merry Christmas.

  6. geeez2014 says:

This isn’t the best news….Michael Moore is actually offering to PAY THE FINES of Republican electors who’ll go against the rules and who could be fined for not voting TRUMP:–abc-news-topstories.html

My GOSH, they’ll go to any extreme….My conjecture here is pretty extreme and probably laughable, but imagine him privately offering to pay off, BIG TIME< Republican Congressmen IF the electoral vote does go Hillary TODAY and then the vote goes to the House? 🙂 I wouldn't put any of that past him or them.

  7. geeez2014 says:

By the way, we can say “complete repudiation” and I think it was, but we do need to remember that 2.5 million Americans voted for HER than voted for HIM. LEGALLY, it’s a huge repudiation…but, is it REALLY, in numbers? Just throwin’ that out to you all !!

AND, yes, I’m so glad you enjoyed the Kevin Dowd article, too…Part of the greatness of his writing was the fabulous notion that liberal Maureen Dowd’s family is apparently CONSERVATIVE.
Sort of like how Juan Williams’ sons work FOR the Republican party 🙂

  8. geeez2014 says:

Angel…OK, I left a comment and it says it went into SPAM, so there y’are! 🙂 Love your post

AOW< I think that's right…..When one considers that Trump got votes in very unexpected groups…he got more Hispanic and Black votes than expected, albeit not many, but more than expected…he got more white educated women than Hillary did, I believe? I remember some small margin being mentioned in his favor, particularly after the Left had tried to shame the Right by suggesting only uneducated rubes would vote for Trump…etc.

Jerry and John….glad you enjoyed it, too!

  9. geeez2014 says:

There’s a really comprehensive, interesting article on what’s happening with the Electoral College…very well written.

  10. geeez2014 says:

BY the way…that article above says that Hillary got 1.3 million votes over Trump; the media is saying 2.5…. ????

  11. Imp says:

Uptown steve..I see him now as an asshat out there shouting “hands up Don’t shoot and kill the pigs now”. A supporter of BLM’s racist scum for certain and a total minstrel clown that is an embarrassment to his race. Meanwhile..he lives in middle class comfort in a Maryland suburb….a true keyboard militant.

  12. geeez2014 says:

Ya, Imp…YOU remember him! ‘keyboard militant’ is right.

BY THE WAY, I’m watching coverage about the electoral college today, how many Electors have had death threats, thousands of emails, calls, threatening them not to vote for Trump, etc.

Do you all remember during the campaign when the left’s mantra was “Trump needs to accept the results when he loses!”??? I do.
Do you think they even GET their hypocrisy? Astonishing.

  13. Don’t you love when liberals start quoting the Founding Fathers and RR to make a vapid and often incorrect point? If they thought RR was conservative, their heads would blow up like that commercial if they actually read Hamilton and how very conservative he was. Of course it would take an awful lot of toilet paper to clean up what would spew out of their heads. Take care.

  14. geeez2014 says:

Law and Order…as I posted recently, I also love them quoting the FF and RR and even George Bush to support THEIR points! Suddenly RR and GWB aren’t SO bad!?? And you’re right about Hamilton; they probably wouldn’t have written the theater production if they really understood!
    You take good care, too.

  15. Kid says:

    Hey uptown. REALITY?

“Since he became president, his party has lost 63 House seats, 10 Senate seats and 14 governorships.”

And to a party, the Republicans, who haven’t been well liked either for their uselessness the past 16 – 20 years.

And Michele, Yes, this means the country now HAS Hope you incompetent racist dolt.

  16. Kid says:

PS – and more votes? They could only find voting fraud for clinton in Michigan so they just aborted the recount. And in california after obama urged illegals to vote and who have dirvers licenses, plus all the voting Fraud Z is a witness to, it is a wonder it’s only 1.3 mil.

PPS – I’m not angry, I’m laughing at these mentally deficient libtards.

  17. Mal says:

Great article, Z. Well, the voting by the electoral group began at noon (Eastern) so we’ll soon see if all the protesting and bullying did any good. They predict Trump will still get the votes, but even if he does, the complaining won’t stop there. They will continue with all these tactics for his entire 4 years, you can bet on it. And if they do, they will continue to decline in the eyes of the public.

  18. Sparky says:

You’re right, Z, delicious irony. [If I may be crude one time …] Karma is such a beeyoch. 😉 [Sorry, couldn’t resist.] But, that said, I still pray that the Clinton’s will get saved. I am really concerned about their immortal souls. (And O’s too)

  19. cube says:

Excellent article. I guess politics isn’t a freequent topic of discussion at the Dowd household during the holidays 🙂

  20. skudrunner says:

Great article. Does anyone know how many voted for -H-. Detroit had more votes than voters and that was just one corrupt city. Did anything take place in Chicago. Now the liberals are all about Russia hacking . Did their hacking result in more votes for -H- because so far there is no proof their “hacking” did anything.
Since the liberal states do not allow ID checks, how any were cast my non-certified voters and like Chicago’s motto, vote early vote often because we don’t check.

I believe Trump won the legitimate vote by at least five million and until the MSM can show proof of who voted and how many times for -H-, DJT won both the popular and the EC.

  21. geeez2014 says:

Kid ” you incompetent racist dolt.” WELL SAID!! HA!! And yes, I’m recipient of some email exchanges with the head of voting here in L.A. or California (not sure) and a friend who witnessed a lot of fraud; for a change, he’s interested and gathering information.

Mal, I think I heard the voting’s over and all’s well? And you’re right; this is ALL ABOUT DELEGITIMIZING TRUMP in ANY way they can…put a seed of doubt in peoples’ minds. the swine

Sparky! FIRE AWAY! Feel free 🙂

cube, imagine? Or the holiday table of Alan Colmes and Monica Crowley!? HAA! Or James Carville and Mary Matalin!? HA! (it was tough enough this year at OUR house with my Berkeley sis and her kids…one VERY happy surprise was that her daughter’s new husband IS A CONSERVATIVE! Oh BLISS! I grabbed him at the big tree trimming party Sat night when he told me and hugged and kissed him!!)

Hi, Skudrunner…ya, why is it that the Left never gets followed up on? Yes, I heard more votes than voters, too…but nobody seems to care when it’s Dems caught doing this stuff.

  22. Kid says:

And more electors defected away from clinton than did Trump. The beast ended up with 160, Trump 304.

  23. geeez2014 says:

  24. Kid says:

Here’s the last thing I found:

    5:28 p.m. – Donald Trump, 304 | Hillary Clinton, 166 | Other, 6

That’s only 476 though, I believe there are 538 electors, so there are 62 left to be counted I guess. Wonder why as it should be over now? If clinton got the 62 remaining it would put the count to 228 versus the 232 clinton had from the actual election.

  25. Kid says:

    Ah, Here’s the latest actually.

4 votes remain so clinton will likely end up with 228

  26. Kid says:

Worth noting that 4 or so eletors tried to vote for someone beside clinton but were declared out of order and replaced.

  27. geeez2014 says:

Hurrah! I think we all knew nothing would come of this but it is a relief to know HILLARY WILL NOT BE PRESIDENT FOR SUUUURE!!! Thanks, Kid

  28. Kid says:

Z, Well I had my one vote that’s all.

So happy though given Trump’s cabinet so far and an excellent expectation for the supreme court. – versus how dark things would have been with the beast being elected – translated as that much of our country’s population being that screwed in the head. It would have made it that much harder to continue living here.

  29. skudrunner says:

That defeat of -H- might mean that Chelsea may not be able to keep the crime family going.
    Good on all counts

  30. Mal says:

Or, she might run again later. The Clinton’s just don’t seem to fade into the sunset, do they?
