So it’s CHRISTMAS DAY!  I hope you’re having a fun and meaningful one!   Here are some wonderful words I want to share with you:

“The only blind person at Christmastime is he who has not Christmas in his heart.”  Helen Keller

“All the Christmas presents in the world are worth nothing without the presence of Christ.”  David Jeremiah

This beautiful hymn, “It Came Upon The Midnight Clear”  has lyrics which really speak to our life challenges and I find it beautiful and encouraging.  I hope they bring you peace.

It came upon the midnight clear
That glorious song of old
From angels bending near the Earth
To touch their harps of gold
Peace on the Earth, goodwill to men
From heaven’s all gracious king
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing

Still through the cloven skies
They come
With peaceful wings unfurl
And still
Their heavenly music floats
O’er all the weary world
Above its sad and lowly plains
They bend on hovering wing
And ever o’er its Babel sounds
The blessed angels sing

O ye  beneath life’s crushing load
Whose forms are bending low
Who toil along the climbing way
With painful steps and slow
Look now for glad and golden hours
Come swiftly on the wing
O rest beside the weary road
And hear the angels sing

For lo the days are hastening on
By prophets seen of old
When with the ever circling years
Shall come the time foretold
When the new heaven and earth
Shall own the prince of peace
Their King and the whole world
Send back the song
Which now the angels sing

“The hinge of history is on the door of a Bethlehem stable.”  Ralph W. Stockman.

    “and the whole world
    Send back the song

Every knee shall bow and tongue confess…

What a beautiful look forward on this day when we celebrate the starting gun of God’s salvation run to us.

I love that carol. It is meaningful and I can almost carry that tune.

We have the kids and grandkids over today, and we are having a wonderful time. Brunch was great, and Christmas Dinner promises to be even better. NO TURKEY! Beef rib roast. Yum.

Merry Christmas to everyone on GEEEZ!

  6. Kid says:

Hope it was a great weekend Z. xx
