Sunday Faith Blog…Happy New Year!

I wish all my readers a very Happy New Year……..May 2017 be a very happy, healthy and holy year for you all.

I believe the coming year will be one during which we will be relying strongly on our FAITH, and helping others build their faith, not shirking and turning away from what we believe to be TRUE.   “…. blessed is [he], whosoever shall not be offended in me.” (Matthew 11:6)

Speak up, help change lives for the better, give others hope……..

I wish you all God’s richest blessings,

christZ

  4. A blessed and happy New Year to all who frequent here and our hostess Z.
Except Constitutional Insurgent to whom I wish a happy and secular New Year.
    🙂

  5. Adrienne says:

Happy New Year, Geeez – to you and yours.

  6. Mal says:

Ditto from Mal. And with Trump within 3 weeks from taking over, optimism can be seen all around us.

    “HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!”

  7. Baysider says:

Love the picture. Reminds me of the old billboard “if you don’t feel close to god guess who moved.” Hope this is a year of being closer to God so He can work through our lives.

  8. Thanks Ed! But I don’t mind being wished a blessed anything, from anyone…….as long as it’s not from Government.

Odd, CI….as much as most of us here know our country would be better for a return to faith among as many people as who professed it before liberal universities and media got involved, I don’t know a single person who’d want a theocracy, but you never even miss the tiniest chance to mention some kind of gov’t religious thing that’s never happened and will never happen. It’s remarkable…and oddly curious because you also never miss a chance to call us on ANY mention of slights to Christianity….
I think it works both ways.

  10. Mal says:

Right, C.I. Like Reagan once said, “The most fearful words one can hear is I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

  11. bunkerville says:

May your New Year be filled with joy and happiness. One thing for sure is that the new year will not be boring!

  12. Imp says:

And let’s not forget in the New Year….

    ” the “dogshit yogurt fallacy.”

If conservatives like fruit or honey in their yogurt and liberals prefer to eat it with dogshit, it is NOT a sensible accommodation – much as our centrist conservative columnists might wish it so – to say: “All right. How about we eat our yogurt with a little bit of both?” We need to understand, very clearly, that there are such things as right and wrong; and that, furthermore, it is always worth fighting to the bitter end for the right thing rather than accepting second best because a bunch of lawyers and politicians and hairdressers from Brazil and squishy newspaper columnists and other members of the liberal elite have told us that second best is the best we can hope for.”

Imp! That is quite a powerful statement…I had to read it twice to truly grasp it but I think it’s terrific!

    Mal, Reagan was SO right.

Bunker…it will definitely NOT be boring!

  14. Wow…..who knew stating that one doesn’t want Caesar [the State] to bestow divine blessings, as it’s not within it’s scope, would make one so defensive and allege that it’s a veiled threat to Christianity. But one wonders why the need to have the State acknowledge and validate such things.

I didn’t mention your faith Z, but your “slights” to Christianity are more often than not, affronts to your feelings. This is what we rightly lambast the Left for.

    CI, have a good night.
