EVERYBODY: I don’t watch awards shows anymore but I suppose you’ve all heard how Meryl STreep thinks all Trump’s supporters think it’s okay to be disrespectful to the handicapped….I don’t for a MINUTE believe Trump wasn’t mocking that handicapped reporter, no WAY, he never uses those arm movements and hasn’t SINCE…it just not what Trump does but he sure did in mimicking the reporter…and Kellyanne Conway saying “don’t believe his words, believe his heart” is pretty darned weak a defense (OMG)….
But for STreep to suggest only his nonsupporters have a heart disgusted ME, big time.
Here’s the part I’m referring to “It made its intended audience laugh and show their teeth.”
Trump supporters were clearly what she meant as his intended audience….did any of YOU laugh and show your teeth when he mocked a severely disabled reporter?? I sure didn’t.
Then Trump Twitters this morning “Meryl STreep, one of the most over rated actresses in Hollywood…..”. WHAT? I’m about the only person who doesn’t like Streep’s acting and really never has (honestly, she seems to play the same person with every role, in my opinion), but most people think she’s an amazing actress and she has HOW many Academy Awards?
Why’s he have to come back with such stupid stuff?

I never cared for Streep so that makes two of us. I put her in the same category as Streisand. My Dad always said “Bunch of blowhards getting together to pat each other on the back” about award shows. I’ve never watched one.

Well, you have to give Obama for killing Osama Bin Ladin (sp) because even if he didn’t do it personally, he got credit for being in office when it happened. Other than that, the thing I that first came to mind is what JMB said about ruining his party……which I REALLY loved!

And yes, Obama was in office for OBL’s killing but it’s not like Bush didn’t try time after time but Obama held the gun on this try and finally aimed correctly, right? 🙂

Z, Agreed on Trump, but he is who he is. I’ll say I’m only focusing on Trumps decisions, cabinet choices, etc which I’m happy with. From a personal standpoint, I can think of many things I didn’t like about any president in my adult lifetime. You of course are more than welcome to your opinion and to voice it which I respect.
I don’t remember Bush giving a farwell speech, don’t know about the others. George Washington did but that was advice for America not about hiim.
Couple other thoughts though:
– It took 3 months at least for obama to say Ok to the guys who had bin laden tagged with a location. It does not take 3 months for the SEALS to plan such a mission, so why was obama delaying? For this I give him no credit. He jsut happened to be POTUS when it happened like Clinton sat back and enjoyed the tail end of the Reagan economy, which he probably would have killed sooner if it wasn’t for the massive buildout of the internet in the late 90’s and the technical bubble it created.
– I don’t believe obama was in that room during the bin laden raid. Looking at the picture, the first thing is that his head is too small compared to the other people in the room, plus as a meglomaniac POTUS, why is he stuffed into the corner and a one star general sitting at the head of the table. I absolutely believe he was photo shopped into that. And why did bin laden get a ‘proper islamic burial’, and why dropped into the sea instead of somewhere we could drop by and relieve ourselves. The guy is responsible for killing more people in a day than Peral Harbor. I don’t buy the martyr excuse. The mutts can just a easily make a fake grave for bin laden and go there to bend over and pray.
As an American I WANT TO SEE THE VIDEO of him being taken out.
Also If people can watch videos of ISIS burning 5 yr old boys alive, they can handle seeing a cockroach getting a couple in the head.

Yes. Trump DID mock a handicap, and said other things like to McCain, which made me cringe as I am sure did the rest of us, but know what? I still voted for him as did others and for the same reason……we are confident he can and will do the job. And who he was running against also made the choice easier……………a LOT easier!

Can you honestly think of ONE GOOD THING OBAMA’S DONE?
1. I think that he did something about making sure that we have at least two weeks to pay a credit card bill without any attached interest. Before that time, I’d get the bill, and it would be due really fast.
2. Some of the measures about having an electronic medical charts online. I know that the threat of hacking is there, but having my medical chart — and Mr. AOW’s — accessible for me to update and for our various medical personnel to see has been a big convenience. And when I had the colon parasite, having my medical record so easily available may well have saved my life; I was so out of it and had no advocate.
3. I personally benefited from Cash for Clunkers. It hurt the used car market, though.

Happy Birthday, Z. Early January birthdays have to be difficult because they come so soon after Christmas. At any rate, keep up whatever you are doing because it is obviously doing good.
There is one thing that Obama did that makes everybody’s health insurance cost more, but I have always thought would be a good thing, and that is requiring health insurance companies to insure people regardless of existing conditions. Many of these conditions are self-inflicted (lung cancer caused by smoking, alcoholism, etc.), but there are also many maladies that a person cannot control, or are genetically related.

Z, Trump. One thing occured to me today and the Dress Shops comment is a perfect example because it is so stupid. He might be doing this to stay under the skin of the libs and regardless if it is intentional or not, he sure is under their skin and that pleases me to no end. lol.

First of all, Happy Birthday fellow Capricorn. As to naming one good thing zero did, I can’t think of one. The ones AOW mentioned seemed small and like she was digging for something. I’ll give her credit for finding something. For those who bring up UBL’s killing, it just seems that much was done behind the scenes to make it look like he had a bigger hand in it than he did. I have a hard time believing what zero says to what zero really does behind his historically non-transparent administration.

Bob, thank you! I wonder about the preexisting conditions thing..>I believe it was Gutfeld the other day who said that’s really not a very conservative concept; and he made sense. BUT, I agree, it’s helped a HECK of a lot of people.
What makes me laugh is how the left constantly portrays the Right as having had NO ideas …and it was the Right who brought up preexisting conditions, and particularly the buying of insurance over state lines….which also makes good sense.
And I have NEVER EVER felt my birthday got short shrift…thank GOODNESS, because you’re right..many do feel that way!!!

With my birthday so close after Christmas and New Year’s, I do feel like it would’ve been nice to have been born later in the year and been given a bit of a breather. Z: When my sister started calling about throwing me a 50th birthday party, I refused. All my life I never had a party and now she’s being very insistent. I finally told her that if she did throw me one, I’d walk out. I knew what she was up to… she was going to make it an “over the hill” party with cheesy party favors like walkers, and adult diapers, etc..
She turned 50 in 2016 and I asked her if she wanted me to throw her a party. She said, “No.” I left it at that.
