Trump and the Secret Service Diss….

How far is IT GOING TO GO?   There has to be an end to the insults…even the N Koreans are now threatening to nuke L.A. over Trump’s actions…threatening him!   Asians and European governments watch our news, they all know how the media and leftwingers hate him, though they probably think most Americans hate him because they probably aren’t reading anything BUT the leftwing media.

So, dress designers are being boycotted for designing for Melania, companies the Trumps buy from are being boycotted, huge marches are against him, teachers do skits showing he’s horrible and saying it wasn’t meant to be political (and showing it to kids!),  CNN isn’t showing press conferences, even FOX’s Smith is truly insulting Trump every time I can bring myself to watch the creep.  It goes on and ON and on but this latest, the link above, really hit me hard;  THIS IS A NEW LOW IN INSULTS and VERY DANGEROUS.

WHAT THE HECK?   What’s HAPPENING?  The Left decided they despise him;  He’s racist, abuses women, is too rich, tweets like a dope (true), is awful when he goes off teleprompter (true most of the time), puts himself first,  is too nationalistic, is unrealistic in what he wants to do, etc ETC etc…………that’s what they think, and they’re going to PUNISH HIM any way they can.

Will he wake up?…not altering his policies, not being any less tough, but learning how to Tweet, how to speak, ..to stop helping the Left hate him MORE?  They have truly found how to weaken his presidency…and they’re never going to stop.  This is dangerous.  Totally dangerous to our country.

UGH….Z

  1. I begin to wonder whether your (and my) sensibilities preclude us from seeing the success Trump is setting the foundation for.
Trump seems to be resonating with a majority of the country building approval ratings to accomplish what he wants to do.

Well, lemme just offer my daily rant. It’s shorter than most. Titled “Sic ’em, Donald.”

Well, DJT is in the saddle, the Dow closed over 20,000 for the first time ever, investors are taking their cash reserves out of the mattress and putting ‘em to work, Soetoro’s EOs are drying up like Nancy Pelosi’s face and Harry Reid’s contributions to Western society . . . .

PotUS Donaldus is a ball of energy running around like one of those noisy little toys you wind up and put on the floor and watch as they bump into the furniture and scratch the baseboards and scare the dog and annoy the cat.

Hey, who knew he was a magic healer in the bargain! I mean, for years’n’years I’ve had chronic problems with my starboard shoulder. Got so bad some time back that I even hadda give up golf. But since last week it ain’t been a’botherin me.

Docs have called it everything from bursitis to impingement to arthritis and prescribed everything from surgery to cortisone to complete immobilization to fix it. Thing is, tho, that it hasn’t wakened me from sleep in days now, and I can pull a sweatshirt over my head or slip my arms into a jacket without worryin that I might pee down my leg from the pain.

Thanx, Mr. Prezeedunt. ‘Preciate it. And although I’ve never been a YUGE fan of yours (for a variety of reasons), I gotta say that you’re MUCH preferable to the alternatives offered by the “loyal opposition.”

And speakin of whiny-ass libs, lemme say this about your cabinet and other nominees: my criterion for judging the potential effectiveness of your choices is in direct ratio with how MUCH they piss off people such as Schumer, McCain, Pelosi, Van Jones, Rachel Maddow, and the Congressional Black Circus.

I mean, hell . . . your very PRESENCE in the Oval Office has caused Hollywood to declare 60 million citizens who voted for you a complete cultural and intellectual writeoff and Michael Moore to go on a 20-minute hunger strike.

So continue shoveling out the blizzard of your predecessor’s EOs and The Purge of Soros sock puppets he installed in virtually every department and agency in central gummint. I’ll sleep MUCH better at night knowing that the Iranian-Manchurian Valerie Jarrett is no longer the most powerful woman in America.

Unlike the hysterical left, I don’t believe for a millisecond that you intend to take away ANY rights from women, and I doubt seriously that you will forcibly eject any illegal aliens or their children unless they’ve proven themselves a danger to society by repeated felonious behavior.

I am concerned about the thinness of your skin and the fragility of your male ego, but you couldn’t do any worse than the guy you’ve replaced, and you’re inarguably preferable to the career criminal who won California and New York but nothing in between.

So, thanks for fixin my shoulder, even though I know you had nothin to do with it and the pain will likely come back anyway as Arthur usually does. And just a few words of advice from a guy who’s a little older than you are:

Barry Soetoro is NOT as gracious as you so graciously say he is.

The multi-headed hydra known as the Clinton Machine never sleeps.

Concerning terrorism, I say go with Neca ecos omnes; Allah suos agnoscet.

And as for the unfocused, disorganized, noisy, litterers in the Women’s Marches, non carborundum illegitimi.

I think they’re freaking out for multiple reasons:
    – It’s in their DNA
    – They must know that his policies have a chance to succeed so at the end they’ll look like fools with their stupid theories
    – He’s saying he’s going to stop funding those people (Endowment for the arts, PBS, etc…) so people of those organizations have to excite the crowds
    – Since those people are fan of moral posturing and virtue signaling, Trump gives them a nice opportunity to really look superior and well intended. It’s the moment to seize. Some acquaintances of mine in L.A fit the description (Thank god we’re not around those people anymore.)

My point is we must be smart enough to counter the incessant attacks, boycotts, like: https://www.yahoo.com/news/where-will-trumps-aides-draw-the-line-on-lies-100041553.html

See, posting this was meant to alert us to what the media’s saying…WE know Trump’s not exactly high in our integrity ratings…we know he’s thin skinned, speaks without knowing…you’ve got to know that or you’re not listening. We need to get him to stop that SO his aids can act with truth and integrity.
Sadly, every time I say that here, I get “he HAS to be TOUGH!” Tough is not the problem…I agree with that. Truthful and tough are two different things, they must coexist, not work against each other. So far, truth and toughness are at odds in this White House………….and it’s him, not his staff. It’s got SO bad that even conservative pundits are suggesting shyly that “this is a game plan…a conscious strategy”. Wow. Not a great one.

Waterboard? I don’t know. I think different approaches should be taken based on who you’re dealing with. I don’t think it’s a one size fits all. The Israelis ? recently put out a thing on how they interrogate and it was putting people in very uncomfortable positions for long periods of time. No physical damage or lasting effects but effective. The theme is the same with both I guess – endurance. Just wear them down. I don’t believe waterboarding is torture. Once again the left media hopped all over this becuase it was a wedge they could use against GW Bush – who oddly enough was quite liberal and accomplished nothing domestically. – Further making the case at how stupid the left is.

Good grief, USMC boot camp used to be tougher than anything those guys in Gitmo have to endure, not to mention any of the special forces people, such as SEALs, Rangers, or AFSpecOps.

I DO HOPE TRUMP IS OPERATING STRATEGICALLY, BY THE WAY. I SINCERELY HOPE SO. Steve Bannon said something today, which I just heard a minute ago, that I loved and I thought “no wonder Trump hired him”….(Bannon took Breitbart’s blog to a place I (and Andrew) wouldn’t have approved of so I haven’t been a big fan of Bannon’s)…but he rocked today when he said:

“They don’t understand this country,” Bannon said. “They still do not understand why Donald Trump is the president of the United States.”

“Bannon said the “mainstream,” “elite” media have been “100 percent dead wrong” and called out the Times and the Washington Post by name.”

Of course, the media’s NOT been “100% dead wrong,” but it sounds good! And I TOTALLY believe that the media doesn’t understand why Trump is pres and he also said “the media is the opposition party”. He’s right.

On the subject of the crowds at the inauguration, I find it fascinating that my friend swears she took her photos during the inauguration and it was packed…..yet the CNN photos show so much white ‘land’ where people were not. She says the CNN shots were taken around 8AM that morning. Why don’t people in the crowd that day come forward and TELL US which is right? “Were you packed in there or were there big empty spaces?” Nobody has yet….

As a graduate of SERE School, and considering the assessments of experts in the field……I can attest that torture is not only illegal [according to US Code], but it also is extremely ineffective at gaining verifiable and actionable intelligence. Additionally, it’s the hallmark of a despotic regime, rather than a Constitutional Republic. Comparisons between GITMO detainees and college hazing or military instruction seem a bit out of place, given that we don’t currently engage in the illegal practice of torture.

US military boot camps are MUCH less demanding, strenuous, and challenging than they were 50 years ago, and that includes the toughest of the bunch, the Marines. And Navy “crossing the line” initiations are a joke. Mine was in 65, and they damned near killed me. The garbage chute had to be at LEAST 75 feet long.

Initiations for Navy CPOs were deliberately humiliating and often physically dangerous back in the 50s and 60s, but they served the purpose of ritual purging and rebirth. Today they’re no more than a congratulatory koffee klatch.

Same with boot . . . it was originally designed to sever the umbilical, strip boys of their high-school ignorance, and pull out all the weeds in their character before planting in them a sense of order, discipline, teamwork, and unit loyalty. Today it’s a diluted boy-scout camp with indoctrination lectures, skills assessment sessions, and “just try to do your best, Son, and everything will be fine.”

Instead of producing trained but controlled killers, we’re producing button-pushing sea lawyers who consider dropping for 20 after mouthing off to be some kind of barbaric torture.

Just because no one agrees with you means they don’t understand you. 🙂
Two. “Torture” is a term that has many meanings, primarily “stress”.
Torture as we typically imagine it is illegal and immoral.
Torture is usually regarded as the threat or execution of permanent loss, dismemberment or disfigurement, lasting damage.
“Enhanced interrogation” or stress is not equivalent to the Nazi treatment of war prisoners.
Alan West fired a gun near a prisoner to get him to talk. He did not shoot the prisoner.

We still produce some good squids, jarheads, grunts, and zoomies, the guys who would excel in any environment regardless of how tough it is and how wafflish the leadership. What bothers me is the ratio of goldbricks and whiners to movers and shakers. Seems to me it’s approaching the breakdown point.

During my 9 years enlisted, I observed that maybe 10% of the guys around me were absolutely top-notch. Another 10% were total shirks and worthless jerks. The remaining 80% or so were anonymous, those guys who kept their shoes shined O.K., got their hair cut when told to, did their jobs at least half way, and developed terminal FIIGMO about 3 months before EAOS.

Later I got my gold chinstrap and became a “leader of men,” handling divisions on warships, Director of ET”A” School in GLakes, and finally several desk pilot jobs before finally hanging up the bars. I watched standards drop in class “A” schools, grade creep, lower-deck rust, and a widespread growth of G.A.S. attitude with the ratio shifting to around 5% at the top, 25% at the bottom, and the rest those guys who just slid through without getting caught at anything.

My youngest son went in a few years after I retired and told me when HE retired that the ratio had continued to change with 3% at the top, 33% at the bottom, 50% anonymous, and the rest so strung-out and fouled up that they never made it thru their full enlistments. He was not particularly proud of the Navy when he retired.

I won’t advertise where he works now, but he regularly tells me that many of the ships being built for the Navy today barely meet basic required standards and the crews assigned to them do only the minimum to keep them operational. Without a doubt. It has always been considered to be torture, until the Bush Administration, and the invention of “enhanced interrogation techniques”.

Human interrogation has it’s place, but these days, much of it can be corroborated or debunked quite easily though signals or imagery intelligence. The “ticking time bomb” analogy plays well in the media and among proponents of torture…but is rarely [if ever] an actual scenario.

CI, TORTURE is a big word. The idea enemies know our gov’t won’t let us kill thru waterboarding tells me enemies put up with it and know they’ll be fine……so why talk?
How would YOU make someone talk?

Kid, I heard an exCIA or FBI bigwig on TV about 30 years ago…he said BACK THEN they got very VERY few good applicants…they’d all done drugs or stolen, etc. He was shattered at the low caliber of Americans qualifying for those jobs people used to want. He also said our higher learning institutions had taught out the desire to even do that type of work.

Leftwingers have made us vulnerable and stupid and weak. I don’t care WHAT argument someone might have; it’d be a miracle if they could convince me otherwise.

here’s a typical Trump “Yes, we’re going to try to fill all our promises, but it’s not easy in gov’t….but we’ve done a LOT already. It’s been a busy week. We’ve done a lot of things…EVERYBODY’S TALKING ABOUT IT!”
Just LEAVE OFF “Everybody’s talking about it!” Nobody cares that your ego’s pumped because everybody’s talking about it. And WHO? UGH

  51. Z – Conveying to our detainees, that we can both torture and kill them at will, implies both a radical change in our laws as well as a breach of various international agreements that we’ve been signatories to over the years. This may not seem to be a troublesome point, but this sort of action would undoubtedly negate many current intelligence sharing agreements the United States has with allied and partner nations…..which provides us with far, far more intelligence than that from detainees.

Interrogation is both an art and a science, and throughout history, military & intelligence experts [some extremely famous, most not] overwhelmingly agree that torture does not yield actionable intelligence, as a rule. Almost universally, professionals in the interrogation field [which decidedly does not include folks like Liz Cheney] agree that rapport-based techniques result in the most credible information.

CI, I find it odd and ironic that ISIS and other terrorists who want as many of us dead can break international agreements all they want but we’re stymied by these laws. It’s probably what will do us in, finally.
Clearly, detaining people without proof, without trials, shouldn’t happen in a perfect world; but tell that to our enemies who detain, behead, etc…
some “rapport” we have with this kind of monster.

  53. Ironic it may be, but the alternative is to base our guiding principles on the lowest common denominator of the foe; and again contrary to effective methods.

Z, apparently the ego thing with Trump is part of his appeal because without it, he probably wouldn’t have won the election. Its a package. Its in his DNA. He’s the guy walking on a steel girder, 30 stories high, riveting I beams. The tough talk and demeanor is what we needed to overshadow and overcome the Left. He is the right man at the right time and we should all be thankful he volunteered. Somebody had to. Can you think of anyone else that could’ve survived all that the left threw at him? So while I understand your dissatisfaction with his egotism, try to see it for what it is and accept these things. Also, no one is perfect, either, right? Besides, I believe we all are enjoying the squirming by the Dems. They’ve been our “FOX”ed!

  55. I once asked Bill Bennett, who knew Rodriguez the CIA guy, whether enhanced interrogation worked or not and he certainly said yes and that actionable intelligence against bin Laden was gained.

  56. Ed – That’s not surprising, Jose Rodriguez oversaw much of the agencies interrogation program and conveniently destroyed 92 tapes of those sessions, denying anyone the ability to independently verify his personal accounts.
