With things are as upsetting as they are in America these days, and who knows what challenges some of us are facing in our personal lives,  I thought this was inspiring and important: “What is it that causes people to shake like leaves today at the first hint of danger?  It is simply the lack of God living in their soul, and having the world in their hearts instead…..God declares the peace that transcends all human understanding to be the inheritance of those who have learned to rest only in Him.”*

“The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4.

What else can you say? The scriptures say it all. Either you believe it or you don’t.

And so true. I’m sitting in the ER for the 2nd time this week with Mr. B, and tired from an injury myself yesterday. Parking is impossible on Sunday, but I found a spot across the street from ‘your’ school. Walking over here in the sunshine I just prayed and let that peace wash over me like the warmth of the sun. It certainly surpasses understanding!

Ed, thanks for that prayer I’d just said in my head after reading her comment and before reading yours! It almost spooked me out 🙂 Thank you.

Baysider….let me know if I can help in any way. I’m so sorry and so grateful that you still see the beauty and peace of this amazingly gorgeous sunshiny day in spite of the challenges. “surpassing all understanding”

    Mel….that’s the ticket, isn’t it!

Thanks Ed and Z. I’m still in ER, and was able to download Streams on my iPad, so now I don’t have to carry the book with me. One good thing that’s come out of this miserable visit. I recommend against getting old.

Amazing…Off Topic; Trump said today that the media’s not covering the many fans that line the streets on his way to the airport from Mara Lago…FOX looked into it and they’re mostly protesters against him. WHY oh WHY does he TALK?

Leticia, is that our old Leticia who blogged politics and NOW blogs books? Let me know! If not, welcome, anyway!

Ed, yes, it does sound funny…..but if he meant it as funny, he needs to smile, not let himself look like a lying JOKE again, don’t you?
