Is Trump not fit?

CONGRESS AND TRUMP’S IMPEACHMENT?   That ‘news’ is entering the news feeds?   Secret meetings talking about if he’s unfit and how to handle it?

WHAT’S NEXT?

If they tried this, what would happen?

Is this being talked about just to demoralize Americans?

What do you think Trump would do in response?

Would a President Pence have a chance of winning in 2020?

There’s hope;  here’s the type of idiot pushing for this:  I say “TYPE OF IDIOT” because she isn’t the only one, believe me….

Oh, gee…that makes me nervous (not!)

And he’s purty much right on that score, ain’t he, at least most of the time.

What I think was on his mind when he made that impulsive need-to-sound-gracious statement is that the ACA has severely injured our health-care system to the point that it’s failing a lot of people because of prohibitive cost.

I’m sure it made perfectly good sense to him when he blurted it out just trying to be statesmanlike, but as I often told my students, people cannot read your mind, only your words.

And being a rich & powerful Noo Yawkuh, he has very little patience with people, especially rivals or enemies, who don’t “get it.” Being The Donald, he can’t stifle 70 years of personality development and suddenly become a mealy-mouthed circumlocutory politician in a lousy 100 days.

He’s right, of course, in implying that our health-care system is in trouble . . . that’s why he repeatedly made that campaign promise to repeal and replace the fatally flawed ACA.

His intention was good, but as they say about the road to Hell . . . . . . . .

No argument there; we probably have the best medical care; doctors, etc. of anywhere. My only point is that Australia’s system is not exactly a “single payer” system as I understand such. Also Trump may, very well, have had a valid point by comparing the Australia system of financing health care to what we [currently] have known, as “ObamaCare”. In no way, whatsoever, do I condone a single payer system. The one that I’m under, known as Medicare, operates under an un-funded liability of nearly $80,000,000,000,000; about 4x our National Debt!

CI, as long as government is involved in healthcare they will eventually ruin it. I agree with the continuous coverage requirement tho, too many people would go on ins when they need something then off afterwards. Plus just throttling the ambulance chasers would fix it form a cost standpoint. Haven’t heard the phrase tort reform mentioned since Trump took office. Dissapointing. Government should be COMPLETELY out of it…except for Medicare for older folks and Medicaid when needed….Other than that, we need to go back to what it was.

It will NEVER go back because PEOPLE EXPERT FREEBIES IN AMERICA TODAY….there IS no upside to freedom of choice, to independence, pride in ownership of one’s own destiny…there just ISN’T.

Health care is NOT a right OR an entitlement. In fact, most of what people expect from Uncle Sugar in this country doesn’t fall into the entitlement category at all. Entitlements are earned or paid for in full, such as Veterans’ benefits, Social Security, pensions.

Food stamps, Welfare, subsidized housing, and even health care in its present form are basically socialist wealth redistribution schemes because government cannot give individuals anything except something it’s taken away from somebody else.

YA, I sound a little ‘downer’ but I AM….I feel sorry that older people can’t live with loved ones like they used to, caring for the grandkids, cooking, etc……isn’t going to happen like it used to.

AND I believe people don’t save like they used to because they know there’s freebies coming. I’m guilty of that, too, by the way.
I have a sis who’s benefited greatly from Medicaid but I hate the whole idea of it.
I also have a Romanian friend who is a citizen now and waited till her Medicare kicked in so she could have some very expensive surgeries which I was frankly surprised were covered because they’re mostly cosmetic…but due to breast cancer years ago, so I guess it counted. She didn’t need this, it was just fun to get it paid for…
Heck, THIS woman was able, maybe 35 years ago now, to bring her Romanian nephew here to Johns Hopkins for rare heart surgery…yes, WE paid for his flights, for the WHOLE Johns Hopkins bill, and paid for her to fly there to be with him from L.A., too! WE PAID. Think an American kid could get all that paid for? Or that we’d pay for relatives to fly to be with an American kid?!!!
