Inside Comey’s Brain……..AND that of GINGRICH! SCROLL DOWN!

In his testimony Thursday, former FBI Director James Comey’s statement about leaking information of private conversations he had with President Donald Trump revealed the special counsel investigation led by Robert Mueller was “poisoned fruit,” stated former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Comey admitted he leaked the information as part of the FBI’s probe into Russia’s involvement in U.S. elections and the connections of the president’s former national security adviser Michael Flynn with Russian officials.

“I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter – didn’t do it myself for a variety of reasons – but I asked him to, because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel,” Comey testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Gingrich called this “the most startling revelation” from the day’s testimony, as it was a “barefaced admission” of his intent to leak the documents in hopes a special counsel would be appointed to investigate the charges.

“This statement is tremendously important because it completely delegitimizes Robert Mueller’s so-called independent investigation and reveals it as poisoned fruit,” Gingrich wrote in his weekly newsletter on Friday.

Gingrich also pointed out that Comey and Mueller, also a former FBI chief, were “very close” and that    97 % of donations from Department of Justice employees who contributed to the 2016 presidential election were in support of former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton.

“So, what we have here is a fired FBI director, who leaked private material to the press, so he could get his friend appointed as a special counsel in order to take retribution on the President – with the aid of a department full of federal lawyers who would have rather seen Hillary in the White House. And we are supposed to believe this will be an objective, unbiased investigation?” Gingrich wrote.

Gingrich said Comey represented the deep state “permanent opposition” to the president, who would stop at nothing to “keep their influence” and harm Trump’s presidency.

“Make no mistake: This is not about law and order, it is not about justice, it is not even about any investigation. This is about influence peddling, this is about the search for vengeance, and this is about stopping the revolution President Trump was elected to implement,” he wrote.

  6. Like Ed, I’m curious about variety of reasons Comey had for handing off the memo to another party with the express purpose of leaking it to the press.

    Yesterday, I read that Comey has deleted the memo and that the man to whom Comey supposedly handed off the memo has gone into hiding.

    Has Congress subpoenaed that memo and the man to whom Comey claims to have given the memo?

    Was there ever a memo at all?

Excellent stuff to consider; important to consider all aspects of what’s going on .

    Jerry, there really are people who blame this ALL on Trump but you’re SO right. And, he’s fallen for a lot of the stuff thrown at him because he’s so thin skinned. Had he ignored much of it…few Tweets, no childish responses, this would OVER…

    By the way….some of you have heard about two boys who wore black shirts with white letters saying TRUMP on them in their high school yearbook pictures. The school edited out the TRUMP, making the boys now look like they have plain black shirts on. Those kids and some of the Fox folks aren’t happy.

    I am. Would they remove CLINTON from shirts because she had been a candidate and some kids might still prefer her? I hope so.
    I don’t think high school yearbook pages are any place to have any political names, even if it IS the president.

    And yes, I don’t think OBAMA would have been edited out; I like to think it would have been, but history shows us I’m probably wrong.

Nothing new here. When somebody controlling information wants to steer a direction … they will! Recall that when JFK ramped up military involvement in Vietnam Charles de Gaulle had a classified ‘after action’ French report sent to him that was likely chock full of vital intelligence. The DOD never even translated it – they just deep filed it. That’s what this media is all about – feeding frenzies that mask significant news and CYA to leftists.

    I’m going to agree with you on one point and respectfully disagree on two others. Gingrich is indeed a smart guy. I like the historian in how more than the politician, but he’s smart and savvy and his point of view should be considered, but always through the lens that he’s a strident partisan.

    But I don’t see how he’s privy to anything regarding the Comey case. I didn’t read that he was invited to the closed hearing, and as he’s not in an official Administration capacity [that I’m aware of] he’d likely not be privy to anything that we aren’t, unless…..somebody’s leaked to him. Uh oh….

    Secondly, “deep state”. There is, and has always been an entrenched bureaucracy, in every form of government, throughout history. This is merely the latest rhetorical invention designed to be the politically correct scapegoating euphemism, to deflect from the failings of an administration/regime/monarchy. You may remember an earlier episode of this sad theatrical drama, with Hillary Clinton’s “vast right-wing conspiracy”. The narrative always sells better to the base, when it’s a malignant, conspiratorial construct…..that nobody can really seem to pin down.

    Besides, this current Administration contributes to it’s own version if this. Jared Kushner lied on his SF86, when applying for his security clearance. To my knowledge, he still maintains said clearance. If that’s not a hallmark of a “deep state”, what is?

    And maybe, just maybe it was Holder in drag that suggested the “can’t find intent” nonsense when he anointed himself the acting AG? And now has again short circuited the only “honest” process to get at an unbiased truth just kicked me, once more, in my naive head. We were right about Comey back then. We were fooled then and are being fooled again and now by a master of duplicity, intrigue, obfuscation, disingenuous mouthfuls of double talk and lies.

    And I was quite confused that Comey said that, “He knew there was nothing there.” relative to the airplane meeting between Lynch and Bill Clinton despite the fact that Lynch asked him refer to his investigation as a “matter.”

    And yet he wrote a memo and released it about President Trump asking him to reconsider the Flynn investigation for the purpose of producing an investigation – where he KNEW there really was nothing there because it did not really impact his investigation.

    And no memo when directed by his superior / boss..Lynch who too at all times put her fingers on the scales? How stupid do they think we are? Oh..it’s just Republicans …no worry…they are too stupid to know when they’re bring conned.

    So to me he also knew that she had obstructed and he still obeyed the “memo” to treat it like a “matter” end not the criminal investigation it was…I think the whole deal now… the “non scheduled, impromptu, accidental meeting” with Clinton at the airport was well planned by all of them to throw the investigation off of her majesty. One needs to find out why Clinton was in Phoenix that day and for what.

    This does not add up.

I can attest that a lot of military support for W waned during the Iraq war, for obvious reasons….but his continuing support for veterans and wounded warriors has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. He gave a talk to Voice of America recently, about his project [“Team 43”] to paint portraits of wounded warriors for a book [100% of proceeds going to wounded veterans]. I HIGHLY encourage everyone to try and download or catch a re-broadcast of it. It’s amazing.

Is the FBI incapable of carrying on any investigation under McCabe now that Comey has dirtied himself, perjured himself and is gone from the FBI ( or is he )? McCabe himself said under testimony that the investigations didn’t hinge on one-man. That the men and women ( Hear that Clarice? ) have the ability to carry on.
