Will Flynn Sink Trump?

Watching Judge Napolitano lately on Fox, on the subject of Mike Flynn, has made me a little nervous.  He seems to think Flynn knows things that this administration might not want known.  Napolitano also says Flynn may not get a pardon for whatever it is he’s done, but he could be working on a deal, as his and Mueller’s lawyers have been going at it the last few days.   I’ve been worried but I wasn’t going to blog about this until I read THIS ARTICLE yesterday.

So, yes, Trump did seem to want to keep Flynn around even after he fired him, he spoke to Comey (supposedly) about letting things go because Flynn’s a ‘good guy,’….but what could be up?  Of course, the leftwingers are saying “THIS is why everybody’s lawyering up at the White House!”  Well….I hope not.

Flynn spoke in Russia in 2014 and 2015, well before he worked in the White House, probably long before he ever met Donald Trump, so what’s up?

Any ideas?

  1. I don’t know what Flynn knows, but I know this….Flynn certainly sunk Flynn. Regarding Trump specifically, only time will tell. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me, why the deference to Flynn, after his demise at DIA….after his exposure as a paid foreign agent…..and after being allowed access to cleared information, knowing his foreign agent status and possible vulnerability with regard to other foreign powers. And the impetus for the entire Comey brouhaha. I get it that he was an early Trump surrogate, but he’s not worth falling on your sword over.

This is one of the more serious issues facing the Administration, in addition to the slew of other ‘ankle-biters’ not being apparently addressed, such as why Kushner still has a clearance after lying on his application.

And to tie a Russian bow on it, it’s also inexplicable to me that after knowing for months, that Russian sponsored hackers attempted or were successful in accessing the electoral computer networks of between 21 and 39 states [depending on the report], Mr. “America First” has not expressed a sliver of outrage at the Russian regime, even trying to leverage the House GOP to weaken sanctions.

I don’t think Trump signed a blood oath with Vlad [pun intended] to make the U.S. the newest Russian Imperial Protectorate….but the history of Trump’s statements and actions with regard to the new Czar….has been troubling.

Time will tell if Flynn has any insight to this, as many allege.

CI…”such as why Kushner still has a clearance after lying on his application.”
Possibly for the same reasons Trump found himself an unwilling partner of the Kosher – Nostra that Hilla her new son in law, Marc Mezvinsky who he and his father have a very shady history of huge losses in the very unregulated hedge fund market scams

*Which I’d be looking into to see….

  4. Question? How could former National Security Director Michael Flynn, holding that post for just 23 days, have done anything to adversely affect or “sink” President Trump?

The linked article couched the whole premise of it with phrases like “have come right up to the edge of saying…” & “if these guys are right…” – this article is a complete fabrication & a load of bull!

It refers to Flynn in his travels was tasked with coming up with a security plan to protect proposed nuclear plants & their nuclear waste in the Middle East – BUT, those travels occurred as the head of Flynn Intel Group, after he left the Obama Administration, before there even was a President Trump!

Again, Z, you can stop worrying. Whatever Flynn was involved in…. at no time was Trump a party to it. When Trump talks about fake news, this kind of tripe is what he’s referring to.

  5. geeez2014 says:

CI… Flynn is a “paid foreign agent” or WAS!? Wow, that’s nothing i’ve heard…can you link something? I thought all he’d done was make a few speeches in Russia….?? but AGENT?

FairestWitness…ya, I mentioned it in my POST….this is stuff BEFORE Trump ….
but I’m not as optimistic as you…
I don’t blame Kushner or many others as much as some do because there CLEARLY isn’t anybody with Trump on a day-to-day basis teaching them how to do things….and they’re being blamed for things which happened months ago, before they’d started to learn the ropes of their jobs. I don’t believe most of them lied as much as didn’t remember and didn’t think it was important…like Sessions not having put every Russian meeting….senators do that all day long, one country after another….a ‘hello, how are you?” is being considered HIGH INTRIGUE by the leftwing media…ridiculous.
This morning, there’s a lib headline about how TRUMP CAN’T HAVE BEEN SUCH A GOOD CEO BECAUSE OF ALL THE PROBLEMS IN HIS WHITE HOUSE, which made me laugh because the essence of being a CEO and PRESIDENT are so different….!! As IF Trump could just tell people what he wants and it gets DONE because he’s the boss? Not at the Oval Office, not in a democracy. But a lib wrote the article I saw so, of course, they DO think a pres can just push his weight around.

Imp; do you know Jarod Kushner’s father’s prison history?!!!!

  6. Z – Flynn is a “paid foreign agent” or WAS!?

There’s a bunch of articles on the subject, but I don’t really know which might be the most concise. I’d guess that he still is, but I’m not certain. Here’s a couple of links.

  7. As if – AS IF!!! – these Washington DC elites could run a car wash fundraiser in front of the Capitol. These asshats have #*+€ed everything & they have the gall to say that about President Trump? Especially since THEY are the ones deliberately throwing buckets of wrenches into the DC machines to screw things up for Trump!

These jerks have screwed up everything they’ve touched!

  8. Z – With regard to foreign contacts, casual handshakes and greetings are not reportable events for security clearance purposes; but specific, intentional meetings are. Those are what Kushner failed to disclose on his SF86. Similar in this regard to Clinton, an act that would have my clearance suspended or stripped.

  9. Not sure why some commetns are going into moderation and some aren’t, but I’d been getting WP errors this morning.

  10. Kid says:

It’s all a guess, but mine is there is nothing here.

  11. Imp says:

Z…. no I don’t but I know you deleted the wrong post! You deleted the completed one . Can you restore it and delete the one that’s up there?

  12. Imp says:

Z…”with Trump on a day-to-day basis teaching them how to do things….”

Like a the former POTUS staying on for the first 100 days to break him in and show him the ropes like he needs OJT? Since he is the de facto CEO of the country, shouldn’t he be supplied with a new employee training manual from the HR department? Or should he write a new one himself every 4 years?

Is Jarod supposed to disclose all of his business contacts as a private citizen before he becomes an adviser? Did Jarrett do that? Or Huma? Or Mills? Or Podesta?

Was Jarods father a Bernie Madoff like Marc Mezvinsky’s old man, Steven was?

Want some clear evidence that he and the Clinton Foundation were involved in graft, corruption snd Hillary for their survival? And that she was the economic engine for the foundation and her in laws continued money pipe line?

:Chelsea Clinton’s husband Marc Mezvinsky shuttered his hedge fund a month after mother-in-law Hillary Clinton was dealt her crushing election defeat.

Mezvinsky’s firm, Eaglevale, is currently returning money to its investors, according to a Bloomberg report.

Eaglevale is not the first establishment linked to the Clintons that decided to shut its doors after the family was dealt a political blow by Republican President Donald Trump.

The Clinton Foundation announced in January that it was shutting down the Clinton Global Initiative and laying off numerous employees. The decision was made due to drops in donations following Clinton’s election loss.

The Washington Free Beacon warned readers in 2015 not to give money to Mezvinsky’s Eaglevale, citing reports that he was not very good at his job. One of the fund’s most embarrassing moments, which certainly contributed to the decision to close the fund, came because of a bet Mezvinsky took on the Greek economy that ended up costing investors nearly $25 million.

The hedge fund, however, brought in a large number of investors hoping to cash-in on the firm’s political connections.

Among the donors to the firm is Goldman Sachs chairman and Clinton fundraiser Lloyd Blankfein.

Also a donor is Marc Lasry, a high-dollar Democratic donor with ties to an alleged Russian mobster. His son, a former White House employee, once uneasily joked that his father might kill him in his sleep.

Mezvinsky’s father Ed Mezvinsky spent five years in federal prison after he was caught cheating investors out of $10 million through a Ponzi scheme.

    HT FB

And why isn’t the new AG or the FBI looking into this fraudulent activity and once more no indictments?

  13. Is Jarod supposed to disclose all of his business contacts as a private citizen before he becomes an adviser?

Imp – If they’re foreign contacts, yes. That’s the rules for clearance adjudication the rest of us have to abide by anyway.

I usedta listen to Napolitano ‘cause he sounded so knowledgeable, reasonable, and instructional.

Over time, however, I’ve begun to suspect that he’s a bit of a pedantic, overinflated cameraholic.

In fact, I’m becoming more skeptical with each passing day of FoxNews en toto, even to the point of finding Krauthammer a bit overcooked and tedious.

Too bad, too, ‘cause similarly to what Churchill said about democracy, FoxNews is the worst possible form of journalism, except for all the others.

  15. Imp says:

    CI…. OK …. Thanks

  16. Imp says:

CI…. however the question remains hanging like a fart in a pup tent… did Jarrett, knowing her significant ties to Iran & Abadens connection to the MF, and now Weiners handling of state secrets ever divulged to security agencies?

  17. Beats me. We can only [accurately] dissect those issues that we know about.

  18. I’ve given up reacting to the headlines, which are designed to be provocative. As Kid says, “Click bait.”

It seems to me that the headlines are deliberately worded to put doubt into the minds of Trump supporters — in other words, a deliberate attempt to erode Trump’s base.

Now, perhaps doubt is in order. But too much doubt pushes the doubters over to the Dems’ side, which is definitely a non-starter for me, or into a non-participatory position, with which I personally have problems because that position will default to the Dems’ side.

  19. Bocopro,
I usedta listen to Napolitano ‘cause he sounded so knowledgeable, reasonable, and instructional.

Over time, however, I’ve begun to suspect that he’s a bit of a pedantic, overinflated cameraholic.

I’ve come to that same conclusion.

  20. geeez2014 says:

Aow and Bocopro; I actually have thought the same thing about Napolitano but I don’t really think he’s any more cameraholic than most of them in that business. I thought it was gutsy for him to tell his truth on this subject, going against the Cons. grain.
I’ve always respected his input, as they apparently do at Fox, very much, so I can’t suddenly think he’s saying things I don’t like so I can’t trust him, right?

In general, I firmly believe those forms should have been filled out with legal council advising HOW to do it. Does anyone here think that was the case?
I’m very sure I’d have probably filled them out to the best of my knowledge, including “Well, they can’t need THAT information so I’ll only write this”…

We won’t know how nefarious Kushner or anybody else was until he’s asked and explained.
Sadly, we’re going to have to trust “I just didn’t know that was at all important.”

IMP…of course Dems, too, leave information off!
And I did know all about Chelsea’s father-in-law….I don’t think most people know much about Kushner’s dad’s jail time…tax evasion, etc.

I just don’t think we can rely on “tit for tat”.. EXCEPT you’re right, Imp; I FIRMLY believe the Left has NOT been chastised and vetted and insulted anything near to what we get.

HERE IS MY THOUGHT AS I READ SOME NEWS HEADLINES LAST NIGHT; “My GOSH, it just can’t be only Republicans who do ANYTHING WRONG but it SURE looks like it”

Now Tim Kaine is saying Trump was illegal when he attacked Syria, did you all hear that?

And TRUMP DOESN’T WANT POOR PEOPLE IN CHARGE OF THE ECONOMY….that’s a headline. As if we WANT poor people taking care of our country? That one sounds SO nasty of Trump “Oh, how MEAN he is, oh, how superior!” when, really…do we WANT poor people in charge of an ECONOMY? 🙂

  21. geeez2014 says:

CI, the only comments that hit moderation are some with too many links or ..something. and there is nothing a blog administrator can do about it.

  22. Z – Makes sense, I responded your query about Flynn’s status as a registered [or as was the case then unregistered] foreign agent. It had 2 links in the post.

I’ll add per your post above, the Standard Form 86, comes with a pretty detailed guide regarding what to fill out. We let the lowest ranking military intelligence folks fill them out, without adult supervision, so I don’t have a lot of sympathy if that were to be Kushner’s explanation.

  23. geeez2014 says:

CI, I did release your comment with the links…they release at the time the commenter posted it..it’s there…thank you.
Not sure “adult supervision” is necessary an insult…Kushner is an adult with little or not experience in any of the complexities of forms, etc.

Look, I’m only saying that it’s time to give the hearings a chance to work before we insult and belittle. That’s all.
And I’m absolutely positive none of Obama’s people were anything BUT forthcoming on all their forms (sarcasm) so let’s not get quite so delirious at catching Kushner or anybody else at anything.

  24. geeez2014 says:

    Un freakin’ believable.

Talk about HANDING IT TO THE LEFTWINGERS. On a silver platter.

So ya’ll…tell me what brilliant thing Trump’s doing this for….I don’t see it; EXCEPT to tweet this just as the Health Bill came out….instant diversion.

  25. I didn’t mean ‘adult supervision’ as an insult, it’s a standard figure of speech in the military, especially regarding junior Soldiers – meaning without specific guidance or checking up by NCO or Officer leadership. We use ‘babysitting’ much the same way.

My point was, that if ‘Private Smith’ can fill out an SF86 completely and accurately, college educated, business executive Jared Kushner should have no issue.

  26. geeez2014 says:

CI, I wondered about that phrase but it does sound insulting 🙂 Since these are adults! But, I understand now.

I totally got your point, of course………but I still don’t think it’s as simple as that. For instance, I totally understood Sessions not having put down EVERY Russian meeting because senators meet all the time….I, too, would think it’s only pertinent times they meet, heavy conversations, not just greetings, which I’d put on any form.

As I said, I have no idea what Jared Kushner’s dealings with Russians are other than Russians apparently buy a lot of condos in Florida Trump buildings…and Kushner didn’t work for Trump , anyway…

We have to know that a lot of this huge objection to anything-Trump is the leftwing media’s effect on all of this…THere is NO WAY all the hate would be going on if they weren’t stirring things up and please, anybody, don’t tell me otherwise because I’d NEVER change my mind on this. EVER.
Watch a news item that slams anything-Trump, then switch to CNN some time….the smiles ALMOST supersede the frowns from the Georgia election results Tuesday night. Almost. Not quite. Watch Gloria Borger and Dana What’s-her[- name..it’s almost laughable.

  27. Mustang says:

Flynn isn’t the only flag officer to convert his active duty position into a golden parachute. Most ingratiate themselves into the defense contractor racket within three years of retirement, few find a way onto the payroll of a foreign government. Flynn is a disgrace, but it comes to him (as with Petraeus) out of arrogance and a profound disrespect for the American people and those who served faithfully at much lower rank. He is on a par with the two douche-admirals who ingratiated themselves to the Clinton and Kerry Crime Families. I have no use for him.

  28. Z – I won’t try and convince you otherwise, I’m not claiming that the media [writ large] has no bias; but I temper those sorts of claims with events such as Trump, who in the same statement, both claimed that Russian hacking was a hoax [it clearly wasn’t]…..and blamed Obama for it. This in a series of statements between POTUS and his cabinet, and has communications office…and his surrogates…..and his lawyer, that contradict each other. I expect the press to have a field day with that. Heck, I’d be disappointed if they didn’t.

    Mustang – I agree completely.

  29. geeez2014 says:

CI….this is unchartered territory and, if Trump’s not at all guilty, how the heck GLIB could he BE? He has NO IDEA…he’s guessing, he tried to present the hacking as a hoax, hoping and believing better of probably Russia AND Obama’s people…
The fact that they contradict is COMPLETELY my point; how do you not contradict when you’re all working 16 hrs a day in a totally new field?
Without a true chief of staff who knows the lay of that very particular, very delicate and complicated White House, if they don’t contradict a bit, I’d worry.

Thanks, Mustang….And here’s Flynn in huge trouble, incriminating a new administration who didn’t even know him during his ‘sins’ (but should have known enough not to hire him, which a good Chief of Staff would have helped with) and the Clinton folks…were they raked over coals, too? Clinton got his hand swiped with Lewinski and was probably happy for it. Talk about diversion from their sins.
I love the Kerry/Iran family connections never, if ever, mentioned by our media. Hilarious

  30. No. Absolutely not. He said that Russian hacking was a hoax……TODAY. Months after his Cabinet and intelligence agencies told him otherwise. The training wheels are off and Trump is accountable for his actions and words.

  31. geeez2014 says:

    Today? Oh, man.
And now he’s being sued by two “government watchdog groups” over tweeting and encryptions, etc.

No, the training wheels aren’t off….it’s five months into the toughest job in the country…he’s needed a David Axelband BADLY since 3 months before inauguration but he felt too smart to need someone who’s TRULY articulate and TOUGH, MEAN and SMART.
Imagine an Obama at the Oval Office with no help the first months? With absolutely zero business experience? Well, maybe that helped him, like Trump said last night in a very good speech “I thought once the inauguration happened, people would come together and we’d start to get the work done”

Talk about NAIVE, uninformed…..and we’re all going to suffer for it.
The truth is my friend who’s very close to someone in the inner circle says he’s finally starting to listen to people…AND this friend’s contact didn’t like Trump until someone VERY on-top convinced him to go work there…and likes him very much now…says he couldn’t be kinder or more gregarious or more caring about the American people….which I keep hearing about him.

How I WISH he’d show some of that in speeches….he is getting warmed up, I can see him looser last night at the speech, but……..he’s got to stop talking about Russia, Comey, etc…just GET ON WITH IT…

  32. geeez2014 says:

CI, he didn’t call Russian hacking a hoax, he said COLLUSION with RUSSIA is a hoax:

  33. Kid says:

Guess who is making Trump voters angry. Dems, Media, Rino’s – they will be punished for their lack of action for America.

  34. Trump specifically referenced hacking the DNC as a hoax, via Twitter at 10:01 today. Not collision…..hacking.

  35. Imp says:

FW..” Especially since THEY are the ones deliberately throwing buckets of wrenches into the DC machines to screw things up for Trump!..” It’s not just Trump.I’mconvinced that there are really NO ISSUES OR PROBLEMS that cannot fixed or cured in DC if both parties stood by their sworn oaths and converted their campaign promises into reality.

This is all part of the plan to keep us “Gruberized” thinking that we’ll never know the scam they work on us every 2 or 4 or 6 years. They keep things unresolved or broken so they can not only blame the other guy, the other party or their current opponent.. but then have the gall, the arrogance to proclaim they alone now have the answer or cure if we’d just give them another few term years to fix what they broke.

And round and round and round it goes. The proof is in the guys like McPain, McConnel, Pelousy , Waters, the Harry Reid’s that remain in office 20 30 or more years! Playing the same bulsheet scam over and over. If they did fix what they broke…they’d be out of one of the most prestigious and cushy jobs in the country and the incredible wealth they acrue in the years they’re in those cushy chamber, custom leather seats and never have to drive themselves anywhere once in those positions.

Then when voting time comes around …they hope when they start all over again! Congressional Groundhog Days! … The only issues they’re in 99% agreement on are those laws or deals that ensure their positions by voting against term limits , by voting themselves raises in salaries or staff expenses, or laws they they are never subjected to themselves, covering each others asses by ignoring lies, and taking the 5th!…it’s only we commoners are obedient and complacent to what’s going on around us. Now…who says we don’t have a class based society and one thats damn near resembling the Roman senate or Euro monarchies.

Locate the crap being pulled on us with all the investigative committees over these past two years with Lynch, the corrupt DNC, Donna Brazille,Bernie Sandrs, CNN, Holder, Clintons secret servers, emails, top secret documents…denial and violence over free speech as defined by snowflake children in many if not all our rcolleges, the FBI and Comey…and not one indictment of anyone…not anyone going to jail. But God forbid if we disparage mooslem terrorists or object to allowing men, thinking one day that they’re women to share rest rooms with real women or children…object to illegals having any right in our country. And putting trannies in the Marine Corp. It really is time for another coup.

Kid, I don’t see another Republican ever getting voted in again…..but I said that way before Trump was elected, so…
This time, he’s got SO many people examining every move , and (let’s face it) handing a lot of the junk to them, he just might not make four years.

He needs to be more articulate, more tough, more condemning of the factors against him (he got pretty close last night and didn’t sound like the schoolyard bully as much as he has, which is great!)….someone mentioned on Fox this morning that he needs something like a Fireside Chat…I have said that to friends for the last month or so…maybe once a WEEK, air time to tell the truth…….expose the media more, etc.

RINOs…what can we say? SO MUCH KERFUFFLE now over this latest health bill and they’re coming out against it before they could have had time to really read it, unless they’re believing Schumer’s HORRID take on it this morning….
there IS no cohesive Republican party anymore. Democrats never fight amongst themselves in PUBLIC like Republicans do..

Very sad., as Trump would say

Because it already happened. You can’t stop something after it already occurred. Why has Trump not shared a slice of outrage against Russia? Some patriot.

Never forget hearing a big liberal woman on CNN saying that “My source in the West Wing tells me…” WHO in the West Wing is leaking to a liberal journalist?
That’s what Trump needs to be asking.

Am hoping to hear the truth about this health care bill before I criticize…no way will I trust Chuck Schumer to tell me what’s in it, and that, so far, is pretty much all I’ve seen. Admittedly, I haven’t looked for anything else. No time

Those who seem on the fence will once again vote Trump versus whatever piece of human garbage the dems put up. They’ll do it even more willingly and with passion if the dems and media are still throwing the same feces at the wall, which they will be. They have nothing else.

to the point where one thinking Fox regular said “Why are we telling THEM how to win?”
And, of course, as I said above somewhere, they found yet another lib to fight with Ed Rollins this morning….more libs than CNN ever THOUGHT to have Republicans…but Fox is biased 🙂
