Third in the Series on Trump Achievements!

*. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, a strong conservative, completely reformed the Justice Department, reorienting it in a strongly conservative direction and with conservative policies, in stark contrast with the Obama Administration

*. Fired acting Attorney General Sally Yates (a left-wing Obama holdover) when she refused to defend his refugee and immigration ban executive order

*. President Trump signed a bill into law to reduce the backlog of families of fallen police officers waiting to receive benefits due to their status.

*. Reduced illegal immigration; child illegal immigrants entering the nation monthly had fallen below 1,000, the first time in several years, and that total illegal immigration levels had fallen by 76%. Number of refugees admitted in the first three months of Trump’s presidency half of last three months of Obama’s

*. Executive Order for the “immediate construction of a physical wall on the southern border,” the hiring of 5,000 additional border control agents, and ending “catch-and-release” policies for illegal immigrants.

*. Executive Order hiring an additional 10,000 federal immigration officers, re-establishing the Secure Communities Program and other local partnerships, making the deportation of criminal illegal immigrants a priority, directing the State Department to use leverage to ensure countries-of-origin take back illegal immigrants, and stripping federal grant money from sanctuary cities and states.

*. Fighting back against sanctuary cities

*Created task force to reduce crime

*. Undone Obama-era executive branch gun regulations

*. Signed Executive Order to protect police officers

*. Facilitated the return of Otto Warmbier from North Korea

*. Drafted plan to beat ISIS

*. Described the Afghanistan Taliban as a terrorist organization without hesitation, he was the first president to say “radical Islamic terrorism” in his inaugural address

*. Public trust in the Trump Administration protecting the nation from terrorism increased to 70%, up from 55% of Obama’s in 2015

*. President Trump made clear his stance against terrorism in a statement wishing Muslims a joyful Ramadan. President Trump did not hold a Ramadan dinner, breaking the annual tradition held since Bill Clinton’s presidency, and instead issued a statement greeting Muslims for Eid al-Fitr on June 24, 2017

*. De-funded several Islamic organizations supported by the Obama Administration and that were set to be funded

*. Increased security in international airports an to protect flights to the U.S. from terrorist attacks

GOT ANY ARGUMENT WITH THESE?

  1. As one who works daily to defeat ISIS, and deploys to the combat theater [again in a couple of weeks]; I can say that at present, there has been no change in our Advise & Assist mission to the Iraqi’s, and very little of note to the SDF and YPG in Syria.

I don’t have much issue with the rest, though a lot is merely an effect of either his Administration or a host of other factors.

“…….completely reformed the Justice Department…..” is a bit of a rhetorical stretch.

CI,I’m thinking things are either changed or will be under Mattis in re to Iraq….and Syria. It’ll be interesting to hear once you’re there. The cease fire, such as it is, seems to be holding in Syria, or am I missing something!?

And yes, “completely reformed Justice” is definitely a stretch!

    Kid, couldn’t resist.

There’s the Rep luncheon at the WH going on right now. I’m very disappointed Trump allowed ANY video of what he said to them. Clearly, we can only hope important stuff was NOT on that short video, but why bother to let the cameras in at all? This was private.

More and more I hear Republicans talk about how the WH is screwing up with not having had really coherent, good, clear, experienced COMMUNICATIONS PEOPLE there…..apparently, many have their own communication people and those folks are probably jockeying for position more than protecting the person they’re supposed to communicate for.
THIS HAS TO STOP…. Trump’s doing himself, and us, a terrible disservice by not having better people in charge of what and how the Americans get the news from the WH.
He needs to clean house, not allow lib journalists ever again to say “MY SOURCE AT THE WEST WING SAYS…” WHO? WHAT SOURCE IS LEAKING TO LIBS?!
    GET RID OF THEM!! ugh

WHAT CRACKS ME UP IS LEFTIST AND RIGHTIES SAYING ‘THEY HAD 7 YEARS TO WORK ON THE NEW BILL THEY PROMISED’.

Right, seven years to work on something they weren’t even sure they’d get a chance to use because it wasn’t clear AT ALL Hillary would lose…in fact, who thought a Republican would even win so the senate COULD promote the end of Obamacare?

SEVEN YEARS of everything else Senators have to do but people think they should have been spending every waking moment not otherwise busy, working on a health bill they didn’t think they’d even get a chance to implement?

The only problem is they kept promising to get rid of it…Suddenly, GUESS WHAT! OMG! “WE WON and NOW WHAT?” And they’re supposed to come up with the perfect bill in 7 MONTHS?

    UGH.

Francis is right…he’s protecting Kentuckyans, not AMericans.

This list seems reasonable Zoe. The repubs had the last repeal bill that obama vetoed, they should have sent that through with a delay factor so they could craft something that wouild not just be their version of obamacare.
Put pre-existing contition people on partial medicaid, make sure everyone has a normal path to health care so they don’t clog emergency rooms. We all know the lawyers have to be throttled if there is any cahnce for ‘affordable’ HC.

Oh, so they HAD a bill…where’s that now? I heard people, even Dems, DID vote for it but they knew Obama’d never sign it so they were free to look good, but do evil.
And, of course, the Republicans aren’t driving that fact home.

Now there’s HELL TO PAY for Trump having chatted with Putin at the G20 dinner, at the tables…..CNN said that TRUMP sat Melania next to Putin at the dinner so he could take that chair and talk after eating…FOX is saying the Germans had set up who sat where, which is probably correct as these people don’t just pick their seats!
This is such a nothing, but that s*** Shep Smith is ON IT…blasting Trump for anything he can find.
I WISH I was a Nielson Family so they’d know the minute that Smith comes on I switch the channel to Little House on the Prairie 🙂 Or something!!

\Kid, I’d support Rand Paul, too, if he was more honest on this. They didn’t mention the next vote is only for discussions in the meeting? They have for the last 3 days on the news! He never heard that?
I CRINGED when Trump said at the mtg something like “We need to make sure all are covered…” No, we don’t. Except we won’t get elected if we don’t. 😦

Well, like it or not, we are at a point where the American society is not going to accept people not able to get reasonable health care. As a starting point being after WWII ended, we are still on the downseing in this country. It won’t get any better until people are properly educated – at least a couple generations and the libtard herd dies off.

  19. Z – I’m thinking things are either changed or will be under Mattis in re to Iraq….and Syria.

Not really. Because as much as this goes against the Trump narrative, the current strategy is working. Sure, it’s taken far longer than most people want…but most people aren’t doing any of the listing, nor have to manage any consequences.

There’s a simple solution for providing health care. Allow the market to function as it should. Period.

I’m not surprised at Republican Senators and Congressmen speaking out against the White House; this Administration has been horrible at messaging and working with Congress. Let’s not forget that POTUS said yesterday “I’m not going to own it. I can tell you, the Republicans are not going to own it.”

Yet in 2013 tweeted: “Leadership: Whatever happens, you’re responsible. If it doesn’t happen, you’re responsible.”

He may be right….who really understands ANY of it? Why isn’t someone out there outlining the details?

Does he want it CHANGED or does he want them to approve this bill just to keep talking about it as he said today?

The problem is becoming less the media, than Trump himself. In a NYT times interview [I thought this was *”fake news”*?], he throws his own AG under the bus, and threatens Mueller.

As I’ve said before, Trump is the architect of his own demise. I have no sympathy for him.

  29. Kid – Why would the standard need to be ‘airtight’ when we aren’t even meeting ‘reasonable? Trump could start by simply acting like a man, instead of a schoolyard bully. Pardon the language, but he could stop being a petulant, petty little bitch….who feeds the cycle that he whines about. Stop endlessly pissing and moaning about “fake news” when you’re a pathological liar…..and don’t go to the alleged flagship of “fake news” and throw your AG under the bus. Stop taking contradictory positions from those of your own spokespeople and cabinet secretaries, especially on matter of foreign and domestic policy.

That would be a good start to a better strategy.
