Trump, Sessions….contemptible?

Sessions has been on Trump’s side since early days of the campaign.  Total loyalty.  In June of this year, Sessions offered to resign because he knew Trump didn’t like him recusing himself.    Instead, Trump waited a month and insulted him in public, not behind the scenes, where most presidents do their dirty work.

Trump despises the NY Times and never misses a chance to call it “failing”, “awful,” “lying,” “fake news,”  etc…for a year, that’s pretty much all we’ve heard.   So he invites them for an interview, this failing newspaper he despises, and slams Sessions.

What do we expect the Left to do with this?  Is this their fault?  Should we start blaming the Republicans who have so steadfastly, for months, stood up for Trump but are so clearly becoming disheartened, even Tucker CARLSON?

I’m eager to hear.

  1. “Looking for perfection” is a strawman.

  2. Kid says:

I was talking to Z. But I’ll add that strawmen are nowhere near as good as strawberries.

  3. I was responding to Z….but you’re correct.

  4. Kid says:

I guess that makes us even.

  5. geeez2014 says:

Kid, that’s true…so you must seek and find it in ME, right? HAAAAAAAAAAA!!

  6. Kid says:

    I’m always seeking you Z.

Sessions started this mess….Trump is Trump…. I gather he is preparing to clean house. Sessions should have given Trump more than 15 minutes notice. Given Trump time to get his FBI Director in place instead inheriting a leftover lackey. That is my take…. Politics is a blood sport. Nice people finish last. Do you think that Mueller will recuse himself?

  8. No, it was wrong for Trump to do that.
I don’t know how long the interview was planned, but I’m sure that the comment was a knee jerk reaction to the expansion of the Mueller fishing expedition.

  9. Bunkerville, Mueller will not recuse himself.
    He’s not a conservative.

  10. -FJ says:

Session is toast. If there was any collusion with Russia, Sessions was the source.

  11. -FJ says:

Drip, drip, drip. The news cycle makes it impossible to “get all the info out there to the public in one go”. Drip-drip-drip is how it functions.

  12. The only mitigation for the dripping, would have been for the Administration to be transparent and forthcoming from the beginning. Let’s not act as if at any other time in presidential politics, the public has received the full weight and scope of unethical or illegal activities conducted in their name.

  13. -FJ says:

Transparent and forthcoming… just how is THAT supposed to happen. Trump is the most transparent and forthcoming president in history… and no one wants him Tweeting. Why do you suppose THAT is? They don;t want transparency and forthrightness. They want a fake Obama feeding them fake biographies and pretending that everything is sweetness and light.

  14. They could have started by properly completing their SF86s [for those who have clearances]; instead the political elite get a pass, just as they always have….buttressed by the legions of simpering sycophants who can only resurrect the previous opposition Administration in their ‘defense’.

Trump’s Twitter has just as much ‘fake news’ as that he throws a tantrum against. That’s not transparency….that’s State propaganda.

  15. -FJ says:

They want a virtue signalling President whom they can pretend and believe in their hearts cares about “the little people”. Obama didn’t give a SH*T about them. He spent eight years behind the cloak of Gyges pretending to be something that he was not. And the Press LOVED him for it.

  16. -FJ says:

And Jared Jushners is now amending his financial disclosure forms, adding a bunch of trivial crap he overlooked the first time he filled it out. F*ck your stupid SF86!

  17. Again….Obama is irrelevant to this issue. Of course Obama didn’t give a damn about the Citizenry…neither does Trump.

  18. Yep…simpering sycophants…..

  19. -FJ says:

You would have loved Stalin’s deep state socialism. You should move to Russia so that the government can tuck you in at night and take care of you

  20. -FJ says:

Just don’t leave anything off the forms when you move there…

  21. That’s weak. I expected better from you. Do you have any more rhetorical crutches you can lean on, and you verbally fellate the head of State?

But it’s good to know that the next Democrat POTUS candidate can send his primary handlers to a clandestine meeting with representatives of a foreign power, and linked to that powers intelligence bureau…..not report it, but still maintain their security clearances to act in the name of the American people. It’s not I who supports notions of a “deep state”….it’s the sycophants.

  22. -FJ says:

At least I don;t pretend that it’s POTUS’ job to fellate the American people.

And the Democrats do it ALL the time. Clinton with Johnny Chung and the Chinese. Nancy Pelosi and the Syrians. Teddy Kennedy with Russia. But when Democrats do it, no one give 2 sh*ts.

  23. -FJ says:

When Hillary turns over US uranium production to Russia for speaking fees and Podesta stock kickbacks, there’s an eerie silence from the 4th estate.

  24. -FJ says:

No wonder Jeff Sessions spilled his guts to the Russian ambassador. If he had a (D) opposite his name, it would almost be “expected” of him.

  25. -FJ says:

When the laws are not equally enforced, there is no rule of law. When the President says “Don’t ask, don’t tell,” there is no rule of law.

  26. Hmmmmm….your entire defense of Trump rests on….’because Democrats’. Well, that and invective and insults. To borrow in a fashion from Jeff Foxworthy….there’s your sign. Intellectual integrity can be your friend…..give it a try!

I would also invite you to look into the Hillary-Uranium connection, even just a little deeper, as no uranium was transferred to Russia, and Clinton was pointedly not the approval authority for such an action. It’s more of Trump’s “fake news”.

  27. -FJ says:

Asking for consistency in the application of the laws demonstrates a bit more intellectual integrity than crying for transparency and then complaining when what you get back doesn’t fit your worldview. Alternate facts are still facts. Even if you conclude “fake news” from them. Because Fake news is simply a reality constructed from someone elses imagination. It doesn’t mean that your “reality” is any less “fake”.

  28. -FJ says:

Reality is simply that which you tie your “jouissance” to. And yours is tied to Obama’s dick.

  29. Alternate facts are still facts.

    Wait…Donald? Is that you?

And yours is tied to Obama’s dick.

Ah, the vulgar simpletons are in for a hard fall, when their entertainment value is depleted. You’ve had ample opportunity to actually attempt to refute allegations against your Dear Leader…yet, profanity and pejoratives are your currency. Telling…..

  30. -FJ says:

    Keep Cucking along, CI

  31. Says the sycophantic defender of the political elite.

  32. -FJ says:

Lacan is a vulgar simpleton. I’ll try and remember that in future discussions.

  33. I’ll try and remember that in future discussions.

Unless you discard base invective and profane projections…..we won’t be having any.

  34. -FJ says:

lol! You can’t keep your mouth shut. Your jouissance is tied to Obama’s dick, and it has to open every time it draws near. 🙂

  35. Nope, you haven’t depleted your entertainment value yet.

  36. Good grief! Gentlemen….

Z, I did not mean to imply you are on the hate-Trump bandwagon. Your objections to the way he operates are genuine. You cringe at the hardball being played. It offends & embarrasses you as a conservative & American. You want President Trump to exercise some self-discipline, restrain himself – be “Presidential” not a street-brawler.

You are a strong, genteel, dignified lady. President Trump has lived his life in a completely different environment. He may evolve over the course of his Presidency, because I firmly believe he has the capacity & desire to learn & grow. He wants to go down in history as a great President. He has a healthy pride about him.

    Please be patient.

  37. Mal says:

I agree, FairestWitness. No one is perfect. Trump was duly elected to lead us because of his unorthodox style, so lets give him some space and support. If successful, it will benefit everyone.

  38. geeez2014 says:

I just noticed these comments…I don’t want vulgarity, I want civility.
Come on, please…FJ, for instance, you know me better than this.
Let’s not get too hepped up, everybody!

Thanks…You’re all wanted here…let’s keep it on a higher level.
