Sunday Faith Blog…Alice Cooper and Glen Campbell

Please pray for peace…. Pray for even handed media coverage… Pray for our politicians to start putting America before their careers…Pray

Pray for America…we’re in bigger trouble than most people think.

In the meantime, love your families, make others happy, change the small world around you.

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29:11

ALSO:   Check this out;

Alice Cooper “You can be a Christian and be in the business…”  He shares his relationship with Campbell, the Christianity they shared which apparently helped them through cocaine and alcohol addictions, and the happy family lives they had in the end.  God is good.  Cooper’s good for having the sheer guts to say “I’m a Christian” without fear.  Of course, he’s a very rich man, so he can risk losing his career, but I sure hope we hear more from Alice Cooper on the subject of kicking drugs and finding Christ.  (thanks to my friends who sent me this interview…it’s well worth listening to)

Amen.

As tough and dire as things look today there is still that light at the end of the tunnel, dim as it may appear at times, and turning to a higher power seems to be the last hope for many troubled people and Alice Cooper is only one of many who’ve turned to God, most often to escape drug abuse.

Yes, let’s pray for peace, but not at any price. Fact: humanity has never known peace. We must therefore steel ourselves to reality, and deal with what is, rather than what we wish it were.

True, Mustang, humanity has never known peace. If we had peace since the beginning, can you imagine what the population of the world would be? Unsustainable, even with all the natural disasters that take human life.

What an astonishing interview. I had no idea either Cooper or Campbell were remotely Christian – not from the LA of the 80’s.

What a different country we’d have if our politicians put country ahead of personal gain. They did that once, when they signed the Declaration. It’s not a natural trait. Now we have a sec state that sold her position for personal enrichment so openly and blatantly. No shame even.

We posture as though peace were the norm, but Mustang nailed it. Let’s enjoy our peace with God and the privilege to pray for our country.

The Alice Cooper interview was great, Z. I never paid attention to all the rock groups, nor most music artists. However, you cannot deny Glenn Campbell’s talent. I remember watching a program on public TV featuring several top country artists, and each one got to play or sing a song. The group included Willie Nelson, Wayland Jennings, Chett Atkins, and Glenn Campbell. I am sure that I am forgetting someone, but when Glenn Campbell played a guitar solo, Willie Nelson was leaning over so far watching Glenn Campbell’s fingers play that guitar, that Willie was in danger of falling over. Glenn Campbell was fantastic.

On another topic, the riots at Charlotte are not only despicable but possibly portend some really bad days for the Republic. Here we have a clearly Fascist group, Anti-Fa attacking another clearly Fascist group, White Nation. People were killed, yet the media blames it all on the racist White Nation dummies. It takes two to tangle, and in this case there is no right. It’s all wrong, and Trump said the right things. I am encouraged that our chief executive is smarter than the media would have us believe, and I am also discourage that the media is as biased and dangerous as they seem.

Mal, that’s true but I’ve seen that faith not only can heal from addictions but completely changes lives.

Mustang, that’s why I mentioned bring comfort/peace, etc., to our own little circles of friends and family…there IS something WE can do.

Baysider, Not sure anybody said peace was the norm, but to not ask for prayer because it’s not? that’s not my style.

Bob, completely agree on the Charlottesville thing…it’s apparently ALL the White Nationalists who need to be blamed….that’s why I’m thinking it was a set-up….out of towners knew this was going on and the Supremacists got the roaches out from under the rocks to come, but the buses of anti-Fa groups? Who’s paying for THAT? This was a set up.
And I LOVED the Cooper interview, too…..at least 4 people sent it to me because of having seen my Campbell post….glad they did!

Bay said..”We posture as though peace were the norm, but Mustang nailed it.”

And I’ll second that … however the real problem is the total blatant hypocrisy of the radical ALT LEFT …who preach that when suits them….but resort to open warfare in the streets and not once…not once have I ever seen them condemn it….NOT ONCE. It’s well organized, well funded and well armed…and it’s goals are nothing less than the destruction of this President, this Congress and this CONSTITUTION that has been the salvation of the world. Not one document since the Magna Carta has changed the world like the US Constitution has. Not one other free nation in the world has anything that matches it, equals it or can surpass it in its genius.

But make no mistake…who the powers are that is armed against it and means to destroy this country and makes its people slaves and pawns, by separating us against each other ..and that is the Democrat Party. The instigators and the ignitors of all wars in the last century. And the ones who have single handedly led us to failure enthuse ventures from Korea on to Vietnam and the latest fiascos of the bloody, useless, slums of the islamist shit holes….all the ‘stand’ if you will. God help us all if they succeed in toppling this Presidency the people…and the will of the people on November 8th….when the gauntlet was thrown down.

@ Imp … my advice to you is this: always blame someone else for your typos. In my case, I blame WordPress. You might try blaming Kid …
