  2. As you may be aware, my oldest is in prison. He’s actually shared a cell with a few notables.
A muslim terrorist from a few years ago and Kwame Kilpatrick.
    Nothing to brag about.
But he has seen some really bad dudes get out via Obama while he has been left in for a much more minor infraction.
There is no parole system in the federal program like state systems where you can demonstrate rehab and reduced threat to society.
I’m glad Arpaio got a pass. Dinesh D’souza needs a pardon now.

  3. From your link: “The move drew outcry from civil rights groups, which accuse Arpaio of violating the Constitution in his crackdown on illegal immigration.”
Where is the outcry from the left on Obama’s and Holder’s “violating the Constitution in his” laxity “on illegal immigration.” ?

  4. John M. Berger says:

As a practical matter, I don’t see what he needed to be pardoned for because [I] don’t think [he] did anything wrong. He should have been given a commendation!

  5. Kid says:

Joe Arpaio was simply following and enforcing federal law. The charges were BS, and the conviction even worse. The judge still standing in the way of removing it from the record needs to be kicked out.

Once again though, all part of the war on America by the left.

  6. Mal says:

What John, Ed, and Kid said. He did nothing illegal, and actually should be given a medal.
I hadn’t thought about comparing Obama’s releasing the “Gitmo Guests” and Arpaio.
    Good thinking.

I wonder what the enemedia will say when President Trump pardons a couple turkey’s next month.

  8. Mal says:

    Good one, Kid!

Y’know, notre Dame en charge, your posts anticipate or parallel my daily rants at a rate far beyond what the rules of chance allow. So for a change of pace, lemme see if I can anticipate you:

Lotta speculation ‘bout Trump’s cryptic “calm before the storm” remark yesterday. Tongues and keyboards and rumors runnin wild over what the hell he meant by that.

Well, other than the possibility of some more firings of high-level staff, possibly including Tillerson, I’ve pretty much dismissed the majority of ‘em.

Did come up with one of my own, however. First, Japan is starting to get really antsy over Kim’s launching missiles over Hokkaido. Abe has directed a general dismantling of Parliament and a “snap” election within just a few days from now.

Monday is a US holiday, and terrorists seem to have a fondness for generating spectacles on holidays or anniversaries of their own attacks on us. Monday (our time) is the anniversary of the founding of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

So . . . I think the little shit plans to do another “test-fire” of an ICBM to demonstrate that all of ConUS is within his range. He recently had his tech geeks show a Russian delegation that they’ve done all the calculations and are ready for it.

Pyongyang is ramping up angst amongst the NorK people to prepare for nuclear war, and visuals all around the city show missiles obliterating D.C. as well as a US aircraft carrier and other LucTars. The rhetoric includes “totally destroy” the US and “field of rubble” to define what will be left.

Official statements from Kim’s people estimate that in the first moments of an attack, he would respond with missiles causing over two million deaths and 10 million injuries in Seoul and Tokyo.

My opinion is that Seoul doesn’t consider that particularly neighborly, and Japan has absolutely no intention of just sitting around waiting for it to happen. In addition to the nuclear threat, South Korean sources believe that Kim is prepared to deliver by missile, bomb, or other means such agents as Anthrax, Smallpox, Plague, Botulism, Cholera, Typhoid, Yellow Fever, Dysentery, and Typhus across the DMZ.

Some technogeeks working for US Intelligence have been digging around in the Dark Web for info on Pyongyang’s bio-weapons plans. Indications from various agencies suggest that anthrax and small pox could be weaponized for delivery within days.

We know Kim has plenty of Scud-type missiles capable of injecting whatever he likes into the South, and his recent tests demonstrate that he can easily reach Japan with just about anything he wants to.

So . . . I think he’s preparing an ICBM launch with enuf telemetry and radiation signature to demonstrate clearly that he can hit Hawai’i, D.C., L.A., NYC, or anyplace else he chooses, and he intends to do it on Monday while we’re on a national holiday and a tropical storm is looming over the northeast megalopolis.

And Trump has to be workin with his military advisors to be ready for it.

    Howzat for a rumor?

  10. Baysider says:

If Trump wants to take out a leftie opponent he should just give him a job in his administration – or praise him/her harmlessly to the heavens – and watch the left drop ’em/’er like a hot rock.

Off topic, but to Ed on an older post – thanks for the “Freedom’s Safest Place” ad. They are excellent. In this one in particular these guys accomplished in 1 minute what an hour of speechifying and facts would not do.

  11. Mal says:

Bocopro, “clearly he (Kim) can hit Hawai’i, DC, L.A., NYC or any other place….” Well, he doesn’t need to hit Vegas ’cause we already were hit…….by a local, no less!

Kid; they’ll be saying Melania wore inappropriate shoes for turkey pardoning.

  13. Baysider. I love them. I am freedom’s safest place.

  14. geeez2014 says:

Bocopro…the thing about Kim attacking is he knows darned well that he’ll get it seconds after he gives it…I’m not sure he’s a hari kari type.

  15. Kid says:

Z, I’d expect at least that. (shoes)

NK? I read a pretty good writeup about how (briefly) the NK leadership would just bury themselves away from nuke blast and radiation and as long as Kim has a few thousand women left in his harem, he really doesn’t care what happens to the rest of NK or the people above ground.
