My German student has moved in…amazing, wonderful 15 year old…smart beyond his years…except: You should hear what German teachers are teaching the children, some of which includes: Trump is awful and appeals to dumb Americans…this, German teachers learn from our liberal media who talks about “Trump’s BASE” as if we’re all idiots, of course.
Trump doesn’t understand climate change and how important it is to protect our planet. AND MORE…
My student also spoke about how Germany is no different now with all the Muslim immigrants and how nice it is to welcome them. It took me about 1.5 minutes to remind him of the rape we read about, the money Germany’s spending on these people, how Germans aren’t having babies and Muslims are, etc. He suddenly dropped the political correctness and totally agreed with me that this is NOT what’s good for Germans and they need to wake up! 1.5 minutes, I swear. And this kid is no stupid push-over, even if he is so young.
SO: Back to AMERICA and the image above; CAN TEACHERS BE TAUGHT TO TEACH KIDS TO THINK AND NOT JUST BUY INDOCTRINATION? WHAT WOULD IT TAKE TO WAKE THE LIBERAL BRAIN-DEAD INDOCTRINATORS UP ENOUGH TO STOP IT, REALIZE HOW UNAMERICAN IT TRULY IS, TO TEACH KIDS ONLY ONE SIDE…HATE? IS IT POSSIBLE?

It seems to me that while Germans are well disciplined, an attribute which has enabled them to excel in science and engineering, they seem to lack the ability to, individually, think for themselves when it comes to matters such as political . Just flash-back to the 1930-1940s. I once knew a German American who would, sarcastically, say: ” Good Germans always do what they are told”.
I like today’s graphic and am sharing it with many. It certainly comports with present day Public Education in the US .

Interesting question.
Speak with a leftist about almost anything that parents SHOULD teach in the home and they will tell you that (whatever it is), it comes to no more than brainwashing children. They are brainwashed into believing in God, brainwashed into thinking that earth desperately needs our help to mediate climates and temperatures, and brainwashed into thinking that America was at any time an exceptional place to live, work, raise a family, or even, to get sick.
Thus, to counter-balance the brainwashing that goes on inside America’s homes, teachers must take it upon themselves to set the kiddies minds back on the proper track: climate change is man-made, there is no God, America is unexceptional, conservatives hate minorities, and Islam is a religion of peace.
One begins to wonder, given all the time teachers set aside for social issues, when do teachers have any time to instruct our children in the core areas? Answer: public school children rank among the world’s worst in science, math, literature, and social science. Apparently, then, public school teachers focus more on the leftist agenda than they do the core subject areas.
This proposition, by the way, is supported by dismal test results of so-called high-stakes tests (which is to say –before test psychometrics are scrubbed and manipulated to change the curve).
As to Ed’s comment, children naturally excel in two areas: parroting adults and acting as toadies. Clinical studies reveal that the human brain isn’t fully formed until the 24th or 25th year, so while some children are amazingly perceptive, they are a long way from being prodigies. In fact, given these studies, I wonder why we allow 17 year old’s to drive cars, fly aircraft, or allow 18 year old’s to vote in important elections.

Ed, this boy’s reaction was fascinating and I am extremely good at reading reactions….I watched closely to see if he really meant his change or didn’t. It was clear to me that he felt relieved to talk more honestly. That’s when I brought up political correctness, which he totally understood and agreed about…

But he opened up to the truth. We have to hope OUR American kids feel this way, too…saying the thing they THINK is important to parrot, the liberal ridiculous unwise points of view versus what they know in their hearts and minds.
You bring up the amount of rapes, killings, money spent, etc., on immigrants and it’s hard to keep up the denying of that stuff. That’s what worked!

JMB, you are right, I’ve heard that expression IN German “good Germans do as they’re told”…and that’s a lot of what happened in WWII. But I have to add OUR KIDS don’t think for themselves when their teacher’s laying it on them, either…….they, too, buy the global climate change, the unkindness of America not to open its borders, etc…

Z, I didn’t say it was possible. 🙂 But the method would be to define the cirriculums around reading, writing/language, math, science, [actual] history, computer related, shop class, art, music, and some social studies. Then the kids would have to squeal if the math teacher started talking politics. Oh Cloe, why are you talking politics or any social subjects in math class? Once more and out the door you go.
The parents of course have to be inolved also. That in itself would leave the inner city schools right wheree they are. The left has simply stuffed too many poison pills into American culture to make it fixble. We will have to hit rock bottom first.

Kid, that is a good method, just limiting discussions to SCHOOL SUBJECTS. However, even the curriculum is tainted. I’ve seen it even at the school I’m associated with ” SCHOOL is devoted to teaching students from all neighborhoods to think critically and wisely, instilling heartfelt joy and interest in learning, while encouraging lives of faith, character, and service to the glory of God.”
To THINK and LIVE WELL is the motto………they hear all sides…..and discuss them. GREAT stuff.
But even their history book includes …”…the WPA was where people could get employed during the Depression….the employees lived in camps which were segregated and bought their things at the company store.” I read that and thought “What does segregation have to do with the subject? There was NOTHING leading up to, or succeeding that …the write just stuck it in! See my point? And, Texas, supposedly a conservative state, is where a LOT of the really leftwing USA public school books are written and printed!!
Mustang, my school must have REAL anomalies at it…because you can’t believe the Socratic seminar discussions they have…..amazing. These kids talk so well about the subjects, and they’re not all geniuses, believe me. They are encouraged and inspired by their excellent teachers…and thrive.
Yes, leftists think homeschoolers are nothing but conservative Bible bangers who believe the world is flat. I happen to know one leftwing family which homeschools but most of the families I know are conservative. The leftwing family sent their oldest daughter to ‘my’ school for high school and this freshman has blossomed in ways I can’t believe…from homeschooling, she was shy, fearful and quiet….in 3 months, I see her at church and she’s smiling, forthcoming, etc…I was almost stunned just this last Sunday.

Kid, and I saw a documentary about how the Saudis butt into the contents of the books coming out of TX. I think they probably pay for a lot of the writers, publication, etc., and, as usual, Americans will take the money and acquiesce on the content. Dayum.

Just asked the Mexican gardener who works for my condo complex here every Thursday if he’d please cut back a wall of ficus trees on my private patio, which isn’t covered by what we pay the gardening firm.
When he had done a very fine job…only took about 10 minutes to cut and rake off the stuff from the patio, I brought money out and handed it to him. He wouldn’t take it…3 times, he said “no”…finally I practically had to stuff it into his pocket and thanked him for what he does all year.
This is typical of the immigrants I know here.

Amongst my gazillions of opinions, attitudes, and suggestions on the state of ejjikashun in Murka is an observation that many kids go to colleges and universities today not particularly interested developing skills and knowledge that might make them financially successful but simply to ensure that the things they want to hear about are what gets taught in their classes and the things they DON’T like are removed from their degree-completion plans.
Then they get their MA in fine arts specializing in 18th century Flemish lesbian haiku or transgender studies and are astonished that no employers are waiting in line to hire them at 6 figures as department heads or vice presidents.

Teachers cannot be taught to teach students to think because that is not their goal. Their mission is to jump over the thinking process to the conclusion. Since these conclusions are reinforced with emotions instead of a valid thought process they are assuring young minds will be closed to change because the emotions will generally roadblock future attempts at thinking. What’s worse is they’ve trained students to believe that emotion IS thinking!

And hurray for your new student! Young people this age ARE open to truth. I think churches make a BIG mistake, for example, in making youth get-togethers about loud music, games and pizza. This generates the excitement of a party, but doesn’t train the mind to respond to other input they’ll run into at college. Stand to Reason’s “Re-Think Conferences” draw huge crowds of kids who want to learn to think critically about their faith, to be “vaccinated” against — shock of shocks – there are other points of view and they can engage those with reasons for their faith. IF they possess them.
THIS is one aspect of the developing mind that encourages me about the emotional only attachment to ideas. It CAN be breached – as every lefty professor knows – but it needs to happen early or it comes very, very late (if at all), and likely way too late before a lot of damage is done.

Mal, PLENTY of home schooling happening…..and yes, they’re socialized. Some do home school co-ops, others do it where a Dad who knows chemistry does that class, a Mom who’s good at history teaches a few families’ kids that…it works well…so the kids do interact with others.
Baysider, I love your example of church groups…. Our teachers all teach TO THINK from all sides, it’s why I’m so crazy about this school.

This is heartbreaking, but nothing new. My daughters are grown now, but I saw some signs of this kind of indoctrination from the very beginning even from their pricey Catholic school. I can’t tell you how many times, at dinner, we had discussions about what they had been taught at class. Sometimes it was shocking what they were taught. We had many discussions.
It’s a pervasive problem that starts at the federal level and it has to be dealt with there before we can see changes throughout the educational system.
