Trump and Rona….check this out

This interview with Rona Barrett (remember her?!), to me, is even more revealing and fascinating than Trump’s Oprah interview years ago.   I wish he sounded like this today, saying what he still says but caring how he comes off so people really listen.  So important.  I think you’ll be glad you saw this.

Yes, interesting. No bluster, straightforward. But he was 34 years old! “Even if you have great ideas it’s hard to win against someone with no brain but a big smile.” Or even NO smile, like his last opponent. He’s right – politics is ugly.

Have you EVER heard anything THIS ABSURD, even our of Dick Durbin? …He said to Trump “‘Do you realize how painful that term is to so many people? African-Americans believe that they migrated to America in chains, and when you speak about chain migration, it hurts them personally,'” HAAAAAAAAAAA!! That’s a new one! And I’d leave speaking for Black America out if I were Mr. Durbin.

ALso, a new reader, Mr. Leonard Jones, posted this on my piece below about immigration and I thought it was worth reading:

“Realistically, I would have to say that one of the reasons we elected President
Trump was his skills as a businessman and a negotiator. I would say that some
compromise on the DACA issue would be a small price to pay in exchange for
    the border wall.

In an ideal world, mass deportations would not be needed. If the existing E-Very
system and employer sanctions were strictly enforced, there is only one more
issue to address, social welfare. I am sure that there are existing laws against
extending welfare benefits to illegal aliens, especially considering they are using
forged IDs and social security cards.

A one-paragraph statement by the president can solve this problem in a heartbeat:

Announce that all illegal aliens collecting welfare benefits in violation of federal
law would have 90 days to get off the dole or face prosecution for fraud. Lacking
the ability seek formal employment and the loss of the federal teat, 90 percent
of the illegals would start the long march home.

That would leave maybe 10 percent consisting of criminals and those working
in the underground economy. If you were a member of ICE, which would be
easier to deal with, tens of millions, or one-tenth whatever the actual number
is? Remember, the Democrats federalized what used to be called state aid.
Huge wads of federal taxes are given to the states so there is leverage to
demand that illegals be removed from the welfare roles. Immigration falls
under the supremacy clause in the constitution. As the chief executive,
the president has plenary powers (meaning he does not need an act of
Congress to enforce existing federal law!)”

THOUGHTS on any of this, folks!?

How far will THIS go? Not much in the news on this…fascinating example of leftwing media subterfuge

  4. bocopro says:

In this morning’s rant, I said something like “I wouldn’t believe Dick Durbin if he told me apples are fruits and carrots are roots.”

But in his defense, critical thinking CAN be difficult when your head is permanently lodged in your intergluteal crease.

  5. Kid says:

Durbin is a leftie tool and a known liar. And if he doesn’t like chain migration, then he should take it up with the dems who invented the phrase and who also put the blacks in chains and brought them over here.

  6. geeez2014 says:

Yikes! The news is that Republicans heard this, too! So, he might be a liar, but not then.

But that line about CHAINS just cracked me up…as if ANY Black American ever put that together? Rubbish. The meaning CHAIN in this case, as you all know, means “then that person, then that person, then that person…down the whole chain of the family”…
    He is HATEFUL!!!

  7. Kid says:

No Z, They are hateful. And evil. Pure evil.

  8. Kid says:

For me, the jury is still out. Republicans heard it or rino’s? Graham hates Trump as much as mccain does. Many other repubs do too.
If he said it though in a private meeting, it is meaningless to me. Every president and politician has said such things. They just don’t get reported for dems.

  9. Kid says:

The dems say things every single day that would otherwise make my blood boil if I ever expected them to act like humans. I don’t.

    Hey it’s a slow night !

  10. geeez2014 says:

Kid, I’m not arguing that what he said was so bad…and there is NO WAY every single president hasn’t said things like this, and far worse, day in and day out…. I wrote that in a comment on Facebook 3 hours ago to a liberal acquaintance responding to a conservative friend of mine…I added that it’s our media today that hides anything that threatens their ideology and attacks for days those not of their ideology..
