William Booth“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.”

Copyright & Fair Use Statement I hereby assert that the purpose of this blog is educational/informative in matters of politics and faith. There is no commercial purpose to this blog. There is no revenue generated from any material posted here. I am not in competition with any news source, including any other on-line journal, and I have no interest in interfering with any person’s ability to earn an income as an author, journalist, photographer, or artist. This website contains some quotations and excerpts from copyrighted material. These uses fall well within the copyright doctrine of “Fair Use.” Section 107 of the United States Code, Title 17, specifies the conditions under which, “the fair use of a copyrighted work . . . for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching . . ., scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright.” It provides four considerations for determining fair use: (1) The purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes, (2) The nature of the copyrighted work, (3) The amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole, and (4) The effect of the use upon the potential market for, or value of, the copyrighted work. The use on this website of other material involves “criticism, comment, news reporting, scholarship or research” (a) The “purpose and character” of the website is not “commercial.” (b) The overwhelming majority of the material is the author’s own research and work. It is in no way a mere collection of others’ copyrighted works, nor is any material competitive with those sources. (2) The “nature of the copyrighted work” quoted is often “news” or “faith,” categories given lesser protection in fair use cases than works of fiction. (3) Most uses involve excerpts rather than entire works. Because the adverse financial impact on copyright owners is central to the purpose of copyright law, and the analysis of alleged violations, it’s relevant to note that, under factor (4), (a) no one in search of the quoted material would substitute this blog or book for the original source, (b) it is highly unlikely this website (or any material created from it) will ever have more than a de minimis impact on any of the copyright works’ potential market, and (c) to the extent it might do so, it would be far more likely be a positive, rather than a negative, impact (by drawing attention to the work, crediting it, and providing a source where it may be found). Finally, to the extent any copyright owner may wish, consideration will be given to all reasonable requests that copyright material be removed from this website. I will always endeavor to provide proper attribution to the source of another person’s work if I know it. If I do not know the source of incorporated work, I will state “source unknown.” I will happily credit any previously unknown source if their identity is made known to me in “blog comments.” -GeeeZ
What they did was assess the situation and conclude, accurately, that their system cannot compete successfully with ours either economically or militarily. They didn’t particularly want HRC, preferring instead someone like Bernie the Socialist, but otherwise they just wanted to annoy and disrupt if possible.
So, instead of direct confrontation and overt antagonism, they decided to act like meddlesome li’l brats and throw sand into our gears, kinda like the kids who hang around behind the backboard at college basketball games to wave streamers and scream when the opposing team shoots free throws.
More like flies on the watermelon than bogus ballots in the box.

One of the questions is whether they had a preference of candidate, but were only trying to disrupt or destroy faith in our system.
If so, Job well done.

AOW’s last comment about turning the federal government into a Groucho Marx movie…. Yep.
I could make a case for Trump or clinton. They could have bought practically anything they wanted from clinton, while Trump holds the potential for better relations.

PS – obama not doing anything about the Russian tampering that started in 2014 would suggest they were trying to get clinton elected.

I will add to what Bocopro said that the Russians also realized Obama was pro-Muslim, something all non-Muslim countries have been concerned about, and they preferred anyone but Hillary, who they already knew had been bought not only by them but others as well and wouldn’t care less if Obama’s policies continued. We mustn’t forget that Russia is also a Christian nation, despite their politics.

Bocopro “throw sand into our gears,” Did you or anybody you know vote on something the Russians said or did?
Ed, I think THAT might be the most grievous thing; completely destroying our faith in our system of voting,. But while I don’t agree with anything Russia does, we SHOULD have no faith in it…other civilized countries get A CARD (and Republicans get so upset that it’s an ID card and hunts us down somehow!!) and you can VOTE ONCE, that card gets deactivated the minute it’s used to vote;
One vote, one voter. DONE.
But not here……..weird and different voting systems all over the country, people going from precinct to precinct (which I HAVE PERSONALLY Seen and talked about here), etc etc.
AOW…what click bait would make you vote differently?
FJ…in other words, much less money, much less effective. That proves they did ZIP in actuality to influence our election…
SO EVERYBODY: THE POINT IS THEY CAN’T, REALLY….MONEY WASN’T ENOUGH TO DROWN ANYTHING HILLARY ADVERTISED OUT….EXPERTS FEEL THEY DIDN’T GET INTO OUR VOTING MACHINES……
YES, THEY CAUSED US DOUBT, MAYBE THAT’S THE WORSE THING THEY COULD HAVE DONE…DOUBT IN OUR SYSTEM,
BUT THEY’D ALREADY PROBABLY BROUGHT IN OUR DRUGS, WHO KNOWS HOW MUCH THE RUSSIANS HAD TO DO WITH THE NIGHTMARE THE SIXTIES BROUGHT US WITH HIPPIES AND VIETNAM SUDDENLY MAKING OUR YOUNG PEOPLE HATE OUR COUNTRY, HAVING SO SO SO MANY LIBERAL, EVEN COMMUNIST PROBABLY, PROFESSORS..
Just Saturday I had lunch with a newly engaged young woman…we talked about politics and I asked if her husband was more left or right…”He was a strong Conservative till university…now he’s more centrist”
NO KIDDING. Thanks, Russia…….

OFF TOPIC:
I just saw this in an insulting article about how stupid Trump is for suggesting mental illness can cause gun crimes: “”The concept that mental illness is a precursor to violent behavior is nonsense,” said Dr. Louis Kraus, forensic psychiatry chief at Chicago’s Rush University Medical College. “The vast majority of gun violence is not attributable to mental illness.”
Um…what MENTALLY STABLE PERSON DO YOU PERSONALLY KNOW WHO COULD KILL 17 STUDENTS AND TEACHERS? Most people understand Trump is largely correct on this. But, where are the doctors he’s consulted or learned from who could counteract this stupid Dr. Kraus? nowhere.
unreal…Here’s a shrink I’d never go to, and many doctors agree with this Dr Kraus !!!

“Did you or anybody you know vote on something the Russians said or did?”
Ack shully, I wouldn’t be a’tall su’prized if some of my left-leanin cousins may have. My guess, tho, is that NOTHING could’ve made most of ’em vote for Trump . . . even if HRC had shot and killed someone by the Reflecting Pool, witnessed by a thousand people, captured by CNN cameras, and freely admitted by her.
And I know that a couple of my grandsons voted for her because they genuinely felt she had “experience” in government that Trump didn’t . . . plus a suspicion that he wasn’t serious about it.
My wife steadfastly refuses to vote, saying that she hasn’t seen a candidate on any ticket in the past 30 years worthy of her vote. And when I ask why she won’t vote for governors and senators and judges and what-nots, she says, “They all wind up equally corrupt after a few years — only difference is that they just waste the taxpayers’ money on different things.”
As for me, I’m not a single-issue zealot, so what any one source says would never sway me unless it were incontrovertible proof of treason or a major felony or being non-American. Since Nixon/Humphrey, I’ve almost always wound up voting AGAINST one PotUS candidate instead of FOR either one of ’em . . . including Reagan. Didn’t trust him at first, but I considered Carter a dangerously naive fool and Mondale a Carter in the making.
Had a HELLUVA time deciding between Soetoro and McRINO — both catastrophically unfit for high office. Genuinely believed Romney to be presidential in calibre and likely to get the economy on track, despite his tendency to waffle on controversial issues. Still, tho, voted AGAINST DingleBarry because he was SO inept and clueless . . . and arrogant.
And if Crazy Uncle Joe runs in ’20, I’ll vote against him ’cause he just ain’t right in the hay-ud.

My friend Rich Galen writes about the Russian election tampering today, funny enough…I had no idea, I barely ever read his columns but they show up every once in a while in my inbox.
He says Trump had to know about a lot of it…….I don’t know if he’s right and I don’t know if Trump really cared as it’s clear he wasn’t IN on it, per se. And it’s clear from what Rich writes (he’s a big name in Republican politics…used to work for Gingrich, represents Scott Walker, and other big Republicans in gov’t) that the Russians wanted ANYBODY BUT HILLARY…backing Trump and Sanders.
I post the link because he lays out how the Russians did this….not so far from what we’ve talked about above…….If you’re brave enough to entertain the thought Trump had heard of this stuff, take a look!

I find it completely amazing that the FBI can find 13 Russian nationals and a Russian company or two, utilizing social media. But they can’t find one shooter of school children who posted his screed on YouTube! And….there were only a dozen or so people in the entire country that shared his name.

Now that Adam Schiff is starting to blame President Obama for Russian meddling in the election, he is probably doing so as yet another excuse that the Democrats, lead by their fearless leader, Crooked Hillary Clinton, lost the 2016 election. But wasn’t I a great candidate?

Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview a panel of people on 60 Minutes. The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect. Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!
Z; AHA……..’EXPOSED AND DEFEATED’ IN WHAT? SHE’S NOT RUNNING, APPARENTLY. I
IF ONLY HE’D TWEETED ABOUT THAT (IF HE HAD TO ADMIT HE’D WATCHED THE CRAP SHOW) “OPRAH WINFREY’S QUESTIONS, AS ARE MOST OF THE LEFT’S, ARE BIASED AND SLANTED AND FACTS AREN’T ALWAYS RIGHT…PLEASE AMERICA, AS YOU WATCH, QUESTION IT, THINK ABOUT IT, WE’LL ALL BE BETTER OFF.”

But, now we’re watching children at the White House demanding Trump DOES SOMETHING! Where WERE they when Obama had school and other shootings of innocents? Where are they when cops are murdered in cold blood?
The kids are now demanding anybody associated with the NRA not be voted for……..
Some news people are suggesting Republicans simply don’t care about gun safety.
I don’t know about all of you, but I DO. \
I wish the NRA would come out with what laws are ON the books right now and defend themselves somehow….and SOMEHOW get ALL the media to tell their truth, but no….Republicans don’t do that well, they just take the hits in the media then wonder why they’ll probably lose elections in 2018.

Federal Assault Weapons Ban
Title XI-Firearms, Subtitle A-Assault Weapons, formally known as the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act but commonly known as the Federal Assault Weapons Ban or the Semi-Automatic Firearms Ban, barred the manufacture of 19 specific semi-automatic firearms, classified as “assault weapons”, as well as any semi-automatic rifle, pistol, or shotgun capable of accepting a detachable magazine designed to hold more than 10 rounds.
[The proscription on extended mags expired (sunsetted) in 2004 and has not been renewed nationally]
It ain’t exackly easy to get an “assault” rifle (the AR in AR-15 stands for Armalite Rifle, not assault rifle). But it ain’t partic’larly difficult to wipe out dozens of people with a vehicle, or a bomb, or a toxic gas.
In 2011, roughly 320 people were killed by AR-15 type rifles, most by gangs or by accident. That same year, nearly 500 people were murdered by hammers. Roughly 40,000 people die each year in automobile accidents.
The number of homicides by firearm in the US in 2011 was under 9000. In 2016 it was 11,000, thanks to Chicago, L.A., New Orleans, St. Louis, Baltimore, etc., etc., etc.
