Hear about Ralph Peters?

“NEW YORK — A military analyst for Fox News said Tuesday that he was quitting the network because he believed it had turned into a propaganda machine for President Donald Trump’s administration.

Ralph Peters, a retired U.S. Army officer, said he told Fox at the beginning of the month that he did not want his contributor contract renewed.

“Over my decade at Fox, I was long proud of the association,” Peters wrote in an email that was distributed to colleagues at Fox News, and first reported by BuzzFeed News. “Now I am ashamed.”

Fox said in a statement that the network did not want attributed to a specific spokesperson that Peters was entitled to his opinion, “despite the fact that he’s choosing to use it as a weapon in order to get attention.” Fox said it was proud of its opinion programming and prime-time hosts.

Peters said he believed Fox had “degenerated from providing a legitimate and much-needed outlet for conservative voices to a mere propaganda machine for a destructive and ethically ruinous administration.””

Personally, I believe that’s true about Sean Hannity more than anyone.  EVERY other FOX host shows some impartiality, in my opinion.  Perhaps his ideology has changed and he can’t stand any positive coverage of Trump at all?    I know Trump’s behavior can foster that, but..

This is funny!  I just read this, which I had already written above:  “Peters did not mention any names, but Fox’s leading prime-time host, Sean Hannity, has been the most vocal defender of the president while talking of a “deep state” and casting doubt on justice officials.”

VERY sadly, this article says Shep Smith has renewed his contract, though he says …that “…Fox’s opinion hosts “don’t really have rules” and can say whatever they want.”  (Z: I think that’s democracy and freedom of the press?)

Um…do CNN or MSNBC “have rules?”   Yes: the rule is;  GET TRUMP OUT.

I had heard that Peters is liberal. Guess it’s true. I dislike seeing him go but it’s his choice. He did have good commentary on many subjects. He sure tore O’Blamer a ‘new one’ every know and then. And, quite right, that the Communist News Network, PMSNBC, etc. all have the same “rule”: get Trump out, put Hillary in. 😉

Never liked the guy. Respected his career, especially enlisting and then rising to 0-5, but always took anything he said with a healthy slug of skepticism.

Seemed to me to be a bit of a media whore, given to throwing leftover cheese against the parlor wall in hope some of it might stick.

At his core he’s a self-absorbed writer of mystery and crime novels, more malignant than military, and certainly no Patton. Guys like that will do anything for a few minutes in the spotlight now and then to keep their names warm. My guess is we’ll see him again somewhere, probably with a new novel.

Peters could change his stance on things as quickly as the winds in west Texas in springtime. He was hard on Soetoro at times, but that was because he’s not particularly fond of anyone but Ralph Peters. And, he was wrong about a lot of things, especially post-war Iraq and Bergdahl.

As an intelligence analyst, he reminds me of a college prof who achieved tenure and then never diverged from the outline and footnotes from his dissertation, teaching the same obsolete stuff for years after it died ignominiously in the dusty shelves holding the moth-eaten treatises of other has-been fusty old pedants.

We need to ask ourselves, why is it those rebelling are only from the right? Surely there must be second thoughts from at least some on the left. Where are they? Were those who are leaving planted there by the left in the first place? Do they really feel the way they say or are they really changing their minds about Trump? Are they considering the constant trash talk and bashing of him by the left as the reason for his actions?
At this point, I wouldn’t blame Trump if he said screw it, I don’t need this. I’m moving to Tahiti.

Is he the guy who sounds like his pipes are rusty?

Jersey, I never thought so…no weird voice, I don’t think? Not like TARLOV!!

Mal, I wouldn’t blame Trump, either, but his ego won’t allow it…probably a time when his ego is a good thing!?

Bocopro…I always found him mealy-mouthed and weak…Yes, he can be pretty centrist and hard on both sides, but going public with this was disgusting and even stupid….compare FOX to CNN and let’s hear how biased FOX IS! Watch Peters go to CNN, where he first informed people of this information in my post.

Sparky…I’m so sorry to hear FOX gave Shep Smith another contract….he’s horrid. I do NOT MIND OTHER VIEWPOINTS, but I’m SICK of FOX entertaining SO MANY liberals ALL DAY LONG and getting blamed by jerks like Peters for BIAS…when all CNN has on 24/7 now is HATE TRUMP AND GET HIM PANELS.

EVERYBODY: Headlines now include “AUSTIN BOMBER WAS HOMESCHOOLED~!” That’s an important part of MURDER???? In a HEADLINE? The agenda is getting far too much, too effective..puts seeds in peoples’ minds…awful.

“Peters, a Republican Trump critic who said he voted for Hillary Clinton despite calling her “corrupt” and “greedy,” accused Fox News of “assaulting our constitutional order and the rule of law, while fostering corrosive and unjustified paranoia among viewers.”

    – Good Riddence…..

  8. geeez2014 says:

Kid, thanks…I’d read this: “assaulting our constitutional order and the rule of law,” and then couldn’t find it again to include it.
    Amazing, isn’t it?

BUT…no comment about CNN, to which he sent this information?

Good Riddance is RIGHT, Kid. What a swine he is…. what REAL SWINE.

I cannot offer anything to recommend Peters beyond the fact that he’s a self-serving wuss. I didn’t take much stock in his opinion, and I won’t miss seeing his pasty face on the tube.

  12. geeez2014 says:

I’m betting Peters becomes yet another liberal on CNN$$$…but they’ll feature him as a REPUBLICAN …as they do the very few other conservatives who are inarticulate and dull …usually, that pudgy little Navarro, who HATES Trump and is CNN’s only ‘regular’ token “republican”…

It has to have occurred to even Liberals who see FOX has libs ALL DAY LONG..>ALLLLL day long, and night…every panel.
CNN has MAYBE 3 conservatives every couple of days.

    “FOX IS BIASED!” 🙂

  13. Jersey Jack says:

I got who this creep us now….. his pitch is that of a prepubescent little girl. If this guy was giving any man orders I’ll bet they couldn’t help but laughing at how wussy sissy he does sound.

Ok, I didn’t know that Col. Peters voted for Hillary. Well, that’s that then. Waving BYE BYE to him. I pray for Col. Peters. He needs to give his heart to Jesus Christ and be saved.
Thank you for letting us know Kid. I hadn’t been keeping up with these things like I used to.
