Comey the gossip $$$

THIS ARTICLE BLEW MY MIND……Here are a few paragraphs from it:

“Ex-FBI Director James Comey said “it’s possible” President Trump was with hookers “peeing on each other” in Moscow, according to excerpts of a new interview released Friday.”

Z:  “it’s possible”??   If it isn’t fact, don’t say it!  “it’s possible?”   Depending on WHAT?  Your word?

“I honestly never thought these words would come out of my mouth, but I don’t know whether the current president of the United States was with prostitutes peeing on each other in Moscow in 2013,” Comey said in a “20/20” episode set to air Sunday. “It’s possible, but I don’t know.”

Z:  But you don’t KNOW if it happened!  You could say ANYTHING, why this?  Why now?  “I honestly never thought these words would come out of my mouth”?  Because you’re so pure and above it all?   WHAT?

“The former top G-man recalled the moment Trump floated the idea of investigating the pee-tape allegations during a private dinner Jan. 27, 2017 — saying it would bother him if there was “even a 1 percent chance” that wife Melania believed them.””

Z:   Mr. Comey, WHY would Trump want this awful thing investigated if it could be true?  And what husband wouldn’t say it would bother him if there was even a 1 % chance his wife believed it?”     And I’m flabbergasted when Comey goes on to say this!!!!:

“And I remember thinking, ‘How could your wife think there’s a 1 percent chance you were with prostitutes peeing on each other in Moscow?’” Comey said. “I’m a flawed human being, but there is literally zero chance that my wife would think that was true. So, what kind of marriage to what kind of man does your wife think [that] there’s only a 99 percent chance you didn’t do that?”

Z:  Mr. Comey, you said Trump said “it would BOTHER HIM if there was even 1 percent chance his wife believed these rumors”   And you say he asked you to investigate the claims of tapes.  Would a man want the pee-tapes investigated if nothing did happen?

There are, apparently, rumors that Russians were videotaping some awful goings-ons…so “The Russians might have something on Trump.”   Well, prove it, then discuss it….don’t gossip, ex Director of the FBI.  Not even to get even richer from your book.

By the way, COMEY, apparently, is a saint.  His wife seems to think so……….and so does he.

DO YOU?  Let’s talk about Comey…….

His wife and kids were Hillary supporters…what else to expect. What total nonsense the whole thing.

  2. bocopro says:

I kinda like to consider myself a reasonably intelligent, fairly well educated, eclectically experienced, and essentially simple guy.

So, from that perspective, from what I’ve observed Comey comes across as a habitual manipulator, one who would surreptitiously spill the beans for personal aggrandizement, or reward . . . or vengeance for perceived indignity.

But in doing so, he’d tactically dole out only little shiny flakes and keep the heavy nuggets for strategic broadsides when the ship headed for the sand.

True to the D.C. lawyers’ code of “Gotcha Dividending,” he apparently realized that Harridan Hillary was a fast train to Murkan Siberia for him and that as a professional memento mori (or king’s fool), his days were numbered no matter what.

So like a car salesman, he pimped out blinking buttons and fancy knobs and the ever-popular “free undercoating” of innuendo to the rubes and kept a tight rein on his “holdback figure” for maximum commercialization when the deal went sour.

As I wrote in a recent rant, “Those who would presume to counsel and guide us on moral behavior, such as priests or counselors, must hold themselves to a higher standard of behavior in that area than those whom they would counsel”

and in a later paragraph, “Those who would enforce the laws must hold themselves to higher standards than those who are not fully aware of the provisions of those laws because the nature of the laws is so obscure, ambiguous, and self-contradictory that even lawyers often can’t figure it out.”

For Comey to possess information which he mealy-mouthed and doubletalked when asked about it by Congress only to save it for selling to the highest bidder when his ploys and ruses failed exposes him as deceitful, opportunistic, and contemptible, the classic definition of a shitweasel.

And that bit about “I don’t know whether the current President of the United States was with prostitutes [involved in bizarre sexual activities] in Moscow in 2013. [. . .] It’s possible, but I don’t know” is just a typical shitweasel’s variation of the old “Have you stopped kicking your dog?” adolescent ad hominem for when truth fails.

Remember, I never much cared for Trump during the campaign, but I still consider him the exact dose of Milk of Gagnesia and slug of ipecac this country needs at this juncture.

  3. Comey has been so unprofessional on so many levels for so long, I don’t know how he ever got that Boy Scout image I bought into originally.
Admitting that the thought that the probability of Pantsuit Inc.getting elected influenced his decision making is the killing blow to his reputation.

Bocopro! THANK YOU for addressing a point in my post!!!! Yes, what he says about “PROBABLY” is such a stinking indication that , as Jonah Goldberg said so wisely yesterday, “This is just atmospheric”. It’s Comey waxing on in hope his book will sell and he’ll be canonized. Good luck with that.

yOU ARE SO RIGHT; ‘For Comey to possess information which he mealy-mouthed and doubletalked when asked about it by Congress only to save it for selling to the highest bidder when his ploys and ruses failed exposes him as deceitful, opportunistic, and contemptible, the classic definition of a shitweasel.’

And the fact that so many are being sucked into his lies and doubletalk is even more scary than his saying these things…though I have a hunch he’s not anybody’s fair haired boy today.

Ed…I was a big fan of his before all this started, too…he comes off now as so despicable it’s almost unbelievable.

  7. geeez2014 says:

He even went this far! “When asked by ABC anchor George Stephanapoulos if President Trump should be impeached, Comey replied: “I think impeaching and removing Donald Trump from office would let the American people off the hook and have something happen indirectly that I believe they are duty bound to do directly. People in this county need to stand up and go to the voting booth and vote their values.””

!!!! We are DUTY BOUND TO GET RID OF TRUMP!????

SADLY…more than Comey feel this way and THIS IS BAD : (and yes, I well know some of you won’t even read a huffpost piece!)….
This isn’t good..big money to democrats when he’s almost always supported the GOP with big money 😦 If any of you think it’s what Trump’s DOING that’s bugging this guy, and not THE WAY TRUMP TALKS, I believe you’re wrong. That’s turning a lot of people off and Trump needs to wake up and stop calling people SLIME BALL and other terms which degrade him more than them, no matter how much they deserve it, and they DO >

  8. geeez2014 says:

did anybody have the nerves to actually WATCH the interview last night?

  9. Baysider says:

Bottom line to remember about Comey is a comment made years ago by insiders who had worked with and around him for years. The feds will build a new FBI HQ and Comey is jockeying to have it named after HIM. (i.e., It will be the Comey building not the Hoover building)
There have been fine things said about him in the past, but he has EGO and wants a LEGACY. If all he can get for that legacy is bringing a sitting President down, well you judge.

  10. geeez2014 says:

Baysider, right…except he had a LOT of fans sticking up for him in the FBI until very recently (see my comment just above yours)

Ed and I mention, also above, that we were fans of his over the years….but BOY, did it go to his head, apparently! As for bringing a sitting president down as his legacy, there are a lot who’ll be 100% behind that and honor his legacy, sadly.

(I got your package…we’ll miss you)

  11. cube says:

No, I didn’t have the intestinal fortitude to watch the “Curtains” Comey interview. I take everything he says with some skepticism knowing that he says it only for his self-aggrandizement and to sell books.

  12. geeez2014 says:

And yet ANOTHER very important story that will end up NOWHERE….it’s HILLARY! She gets off every time, right? 😦

  13. Jersey Jack says:

“he comes off now as so despicable it’s almost unbelievable.”

I keep getting the dreadful realization that if they take Trump down we’ll storm the GD Capitol and take to the rooftops. I’d hope someone gives him a lasting legacy at one of his book signings? Where’s Jack Ruby when ya need one. Then he can have an eternal flame like JFK. Like Commander Bocopro said….shitweasel…and God knows there’s near 500 of them in DC and a much-needed fumigation is in order. We’re never, ever going to see justice with a Bama douchebag like Sessions either. Now with Mills, Abedin, Clinton, McCabe, Comey, Lynch, Lerher, Rodenstein, Eric the Red Holder, Obama, Strokz and his little whore Page completely walking free and escaping the law which we know was severely broken. This is one reason why countries have violent revolutions. I mean Heysus…how do these people still have a job? Why is it impossible to indict, prosecute, arrest or even fire these slimeballs? Is it impossible to force a needed reboot of this country?

  14. Z says:

While the media is so leftwing and Republicans still shake in their shoes, Jersey Jack, yes, it is impossible to reboot….which seems to be what we really need! I felt Trump could do this but the onslaught of negative accusations is sucking that fresh wind right out of his sails…and ours.

  15. geeez2014 says:

VERY ODDLY, CNN’s people sound a tad more disbelieving of Comey’s stuff last night than FOX’s Shep Smith, who’s having a marvelous time …. he even called Michael Cohen “Trump’s attorney…i should say his FIXER!” 🙂

They’re also saying now that a third client of Cohen’s, who people were interested in finding, is SEAN HANNITY, which is not surprising at all, considering Hannity’s been a great friend of Trump’s for years….but CNN can’t grasp that, they, and much of the leftwing media, is just rejoicing in HANNITY and COHEN’s names together….they’d do ANYTHING to get Hannity. He escaped recently when accused of some sexual thing; I suppose now Cohen’s information might reveal the details.

ARE YOU ALL AS SICK OF THIS AS I AM? I think if these were Democrats all these accusations were against I’d even be sick of it all!!!

  16. bocopro says:

As I’ve repeatedly said about the left — I can’t figure out exactly what it is that they WANT . . . what they believe would be a positive direct result of an impeachment leading to a conviction . . . how returning to the “strategic patience” and colossal naivete of the DingleBarry administration would make things better.

  17. Bob says:

I think bringing back the old community punishment of tar and feathers would do nicely for James Comey. Come to think of it, putting him in stocks and irons in a public place to let decent folks like me spit on him and curse him for his evil ways is appropriate.

On the other hand, we are supposed to forgive him and love him. Being a Christian is a difficult thing.

Bocopro, that’s hilarious is, to hear libs tell it, Pence is so much worse with his strong faith, he’s almost job insurance for Trump! I’ve heard some say “Don’t forget, if Trump is out, we get PENCE!” HA!

BOB…you bring me back to what’s true and right, as my young Pastor said only yesterday…it’s CHRIST FIRST….he was talking about getting along, even at our church since we merged with a very young bunch of people and now have all ages, instead of slightly more mature families we had ….a LOT of those young people in their mid twenties and early thirties reveal such stupid politics on FaceBook (like at the kids march for gun control, one gal writes “Kids for president…they know what’s really important” ) OMG……anyway, it’s something I’ve had on my mind, and Pastor brought it home….calm hearts, open minds, kindness and having that one important thing in COMMON is what counts….

    Ya, well…………….I suppose!!! 🙂

  19. geeez2014 says:

Only Trump would dig up the term that proved disastrous for GW Bush “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED” and use it again! OY!

  20. geeez2014 says:

GOOD NEWS! I just saw a very short video by Stormy in front of the courthouse…about 150 comments were 90% negative! On YAHOO, folks, which is LARGELY read by LIBS~ Hurrah`

  21. Jersey Jack says:

Will Repubs ever stop autophagy? Lipsticks never seem to do it to themselves.

  22. Tucker handled the Comey interview (5 hours) masterfully tonight.

  23. Why is Hannity as a client of Cohen important to disclose?

  24. geeez2014 says:

Jack! As well read as I am, I had to google AUTOPHAGY! But, no, they’ll never stop…

    Ed did well, true.
And it is NOT important…and , apparently, it’s also not information a judge should have insisted be made public….particularly because Hannity had asked it to be. I’m personally hoping Hannity sues the s*** out of the judge.

ON THE OTHER HAND, why did Hannity supposedly ask that if they’d only spoken from time to time.
ON THE OTHER HAND, who amongst us doesn’t have a lawyer friend or friend who has a lawyer friend and called and asked a question off the record and off the meter? WE ALL HAVE!!
This is utter rubbish that Hannity’s being brought into this.

And, OH BROTHER, is the Left LOVING IT!! :They’re ALL talking about it…

  25. I’ve never asked a lawyer for advice.
I don’t want it to sound like I’m bragging, but I gave advice to my divorce lawyer and she asked why I retained her since it was such a good idea. Judges want to hear from lawyers, not people who rep themselves.
Did the same with my youngest son’s lawyer. Told him to ask the detective a question that blew the whole case apart. The D.A. was furious. Then we offered to cop a plea to a misdemeanor so they could save face. We made friends that day. A lawyer would not have done that.

Hannity said he never got invoiced. You don’t call buying dinner et al getting invoiced.

  26. geeez2014 says:

Good for you, Ed! I hope you always do the right thing…for your sake! Hard to know all the laws and I would guess most people have asked a lawyer about the law at least once.
Asking a lawyer for advice is not being a lawyer’s WAY. And no, taking someone to dinner isn’t about invoices.
    This is crazy.

  27. bocopro says:

For some bizarre reason, I’ve been called for jury duty more than anyone I know. Including 2 SPCMs while in the military, I’ve been on a total of 8 juries in my life and been witness in at least 3 others, once when I was only 15.

Strangest trial situation I was ever part of involved two of my students in Freshman Comp I. A 28 yr-old ex-Army guy tried to rape a 19-yr-old in her dorm room.

He tried to claim the whole thing was consensual. She was visibly bruised on her arms and face with ligature marks on her neck from a lamp cord he’d tried to strangle her with. He had a huge lump on his head where she’d hit him with a folding chair and some impressive scratches on his face.

Odd thing about it all was that BOTH sides deposed me as character witness, defense AND prosecution. Weird. Each wanted insights I’d picked up from their class essays. If I hadn’t already had a skeptical attitude toward lawyers, that would’ve given me one.

Case went to trial and the guy went to prison, and during the investigation it was determined he was not only on parole for a theft conviction but was wanted for fraudulent G.I. benefits claims and a B & E/burglary at a restaurant.

  28. Hugh Hewitt is claiming this morning that anytime a lawyer gives advice to anyone that person is technically a client.

  29. geeez2014 says:

Ed, ridiculous quibbling over terms. A client pays, a client relies, a client gets invoices, a client becomes part of that law office.
A call “Hey, what do you think about this?” is, technically, in my opinion, NOT a client. It’s a friend.
With my career, I can’t tell you how many times I was asked for advice; I did not consider those friends/acquaintances who just asked, a client.
