Iran launching missiles over Israel…….

I don’t know about you, but I thought the story that IRAN IS LAUNCHING MISSILES INTO IRAN proved Trump right in getting out of the deal and shames the UK, France and Germany, those countries thinking Iran could be trusted.

Isn’t that a no-brainer?  I haven’t heard anyone suggest that yet.  I’m writing this at 5:37 pm PST Wednesday and I’m a little afraid of what might happen to Israel overnight, and I have to admit I’m even a little bit afraid we’re going to wake to find we’ve bombed Iran’s nuke areas (tho if they didn’t have nukes or bios, I’d be delighted) in support of Israel.  But I’m only afraid because I worry that Iran will go nuts, promise their military they’ll be having sex with virgins tonight if they sacrifice their lives, and order all hell to break out.

WHAT DO YOU THINK!?

Big, complex discussion. Lemme summarize it by saying

    1. Iran is not a one-minded society. Despite being overwhelmingly shi-ite Muslim, it has many factions and splinter groups, much as we do in Murka.

    2. Iranians don’t have much use for Sunni Muslims or Arabs. In many ways, they have more in common with Israel than with Saudi Arabia.

    3. Go back prior to the overthrow of Pahlavi and development of the theocracy under Khomenei and you’ll find an open-minded, progressive society in many ways just like Israel.

    4. Lotsa younger Iranians are pretty much disappointed in the repressive attitudes of the aging theocrats and would like to see more individual freedom and open discourse in their society.

So . . . as it is the nature of pendulums (or even pendula) to swing, I suspect that before long an irrepressible movement will emerge demanding that the country ease up on the archaic interpretations of the bitter old ascetics and join both Europe AND Israel in the 21st century.

Faithful to their ancient cultural instincts and umma, most Iranians will still support the establishment of a Palestinian state and worry about pre-emptive nuclear attack by a radical Israeli regime understandably fed up with chants of “Death to Israel.”

But in that same moment they will still realize that trade and cooperation with what is clearly a modern and productive society is in their best interests whereas hand-wringing, goose-stepping, and chest-beating don’t really feed the kitty.

The hypnotic effect of umma notwithstanding, logic says that intelligent young techno-savvy people will look around at the nice things they could be enjoying with the money the ayatollahs are wasting on weapons and terrorism and say, “Hey, what’s WRONG with you old farts! What’s WRONG with girls showing their hair, or their arms, or a hint of leg now and then? And how ‘bout some unrestricted internet access, you grouchy old bastards? And maybe a nice car in every garage and a fat chicken in every pot instead of missiles that the Israelis just shoot down anyway.”

  2. In the 1968 War there was an Arab detachment of military that was told to go over a hill and take out the one Israeli soldier who was taunting them.
30 men went over the hill and there was a loud battle and eventually one came back in shock and battle-scarred and told his commander, “Go back, go back! It’s a trap! There’s two of them!”

  3. Bocopro, missionaries that I know that have been involved with Iran have told me that the Green Revolution that Obama refused to support was primarily fostered by young Christians there.
Hopefully, they will rise up again and Trump will not abandon them.

  5. That Iran is doing this is predictable. They’d have done so, IMO, even if Trump hadn’t nixed the Iran deal.

Besides, Obama and Kerry cooked up the Iran deal outside the bounds of the Constitution’s provisions for treaties — an end run by means of phone and pen. They were so sure that the deal would stay in place because HRC was “guaranteed” to win in 2016.

And I hope , with these interesting comments, someone agrees, or doesn’t that this shows the UK, France and Germany that Iran is not a trustworthy partner!

Whatever it is going on, I’m with Israel and President Trump on this one. They’re the ones living with it. Since I don’t understand the “whys” and “wherefores” I just keep praying and trusting in the LORD … 🙂

Too bad so many of our serving Citizens are in the middle of it……

CI, I agree…it is too bad. On the other hand, the American Israel cooperation has been a long and strong one.
I believe it’ll get way more interesting than most of us want it to!!

And I believe I’m right in suggesting the attacks on Israel from Iran yesterday showed the UK, France and Germany that Trump was, at least, right on this; Iran is not a trustworthy partner.

Sparky! That’s what we should ALL be doing! GOod advice!

Z sayeth: “this shows the UK, France and Germany that Iran is not a trustworthy partner!” I am not sure it is possible to show the French and Germans anything. Reality doesn’t even serve to wake those people.

I believe the solution to many of today’s middle east problems lie in Tehran and are relatively simple from a philosophical viewpoint. Either we can stop them, or as Obama did, let them do whatever they wish. Stop the theocracy, or pay with lives. The sooner we come down hard on the Iranians, the better things will be in Syria, Lebanon, and the rest of the world. Russia will be powerless to do anything.

    We must be Trump Strong!

With all thats been going on in the world, I picked up The Las Vegas Sun paper today that comes as a supplement with the Review Journal, which is more fair and neutral, and all they had on the front page was about the DOJ targeting low-level gun offenders, programs saving people from Las Vegas streets, and Trumps tariffs on the solar industry! Nothing about the 3 hostages, or the missiles being fired over Israel by Iran, or NOKO and SOKO historic meeting to take place. Nada. Zip. I’m going to write in and let them know how ridiculous they have become.

Yeah, Mal . . . another is that guy Avenetti (Stormy Daniels’s mouthpiece) who did some quick googlin and compiled a list of cash transactions by guys named Michael Cohen (Trump’s erstwhile lawyer) since the fall of the Soviet Union and tried to make ’em all stick as “possible fraudulent and illegal financial transactions” related to the NDA for Daniels.

According to dailycaller, “One of the payments is a $4,250 wire transfer from a Malaysian company, Actuarial Partners, to a bank in Toronto” and another is “a $980 transfer from a Kenyan bank to Bank Hapoalim — the largest bank in Israel.”

    Fake what?

Well…let’s see how much Hillary actually “trusted” them even while she had her dirty hands in framing this lousy action while she was the SOS.

“In the interview the losing White House candidate said she would launch an attack on the Middle Eastern state if they were to attack Israel.

In 2008, when serving in the US Senate, Mrs Clinton issued the stark warning to the Iranian government.

Speaking on ABC’s Good Morning America, she said: “I want the Iranians to know that if I’m the president, we will attack Iran (if it attacks Israel).

“In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them.”

    HOW SOON WE FORGET, EH?

Bocopro…Whoever this weird Dianny is thinks TRUMP is paying Avenetti? That is THE wildest, most ridiculous story EVER, especially considering how Avenetti has worked for nothing but lefties his whole career…and I don’t care WHAT Dianny thinks, CNN’s interview with him scared the **** out of me.
JJ..YOU think Trump’s paying Avenetti? Is that The Onion in disguise or I missed the point!???

Bob, maybe I shouldn’t have used the term “show”? My point is THEY SCREWED UP and Iran’s hitting Israel makes it REAL OBVIOUS how bad the UK France and Germany screwed up.

    JJ…SOROS SOROS SOROS. That’s who’s paying
