MEMORIAL DAY… Reagan says is best…………

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY

May God continue to bless all of America’s soldiers and their families, and let the surviving families of the dead somehow find peace and calm from the highly appreciated sacrifice made by their loved one.

It seems that Nikita Khrushchev got it right, as Mr. Reagan says here in this terrific video…..he predicted we’d do ourselves in and he did that in 1961.  Yes, that first year of the Sixties and forward, in which America seemed to become unhinged with Vietnam, Drugs, violent school protests (Kent State, 1970), the Pill was approved as a contraceptive in 1960 and free sex became freer, starting generations of children raised without fathers……I could go on.  So could you.   We need to fight HERE like our soldiers have THERE.

Soldiers, GeeeZ readers who agree with me and love America so much, I SALUTE YOU, with all my heart.

  6. I mentioned on Saturday during a discussion on our radio show that we are in the midst of the Civil War. And it’s being fought in the ballot boxes. We have to stop the nonsense, we have to stop the enemy! We can’t let the sacrifices of the Fallen be for nothing if we lose our freedoms and our culture.

    Ed, and thanks for somewhat acknowledging what I wrote in my post. We are in battle HERE now…we ignored the continuing terrible, destructive, horrific damage of the Sixties and it’s time we stopped doing that. Our Fallen died for the leftwingers, too, for the punks who won’t work, for so many things that would surprise and sadden them…..but I don’t believe they died to let people take away our freedoms or our culture.

    Jerry, imagine most of our kids today fighting for America? When we have people who they admire not even standing for our flag?

    Just seeing the thousands of flags that are put on all the veterans graves each year at this time makes one appreciate the magnitude of how many have sacrificed their lives. Its also sad to see the unappreciative attitude of the left as they continue down the path of self destruction. I keep saying I wish we would take the same path Israel does in requiring ALL 18 year olds to serve 2 years in the military, both men and women. I can guarantee there would be a lot fewer Dems!

    On another note, the Las Vegas Golden Knights, a rookie, first year expansion team has made it to the finals and begin the pursuit for the Stanley Cup at 5 p.m. (Pacific). Its the first time I know of that an expansion team in any sport made it to the finals the first year, which is something we really needed in the aftermath of the Oct. 1st shooting on The Strip. Its also a time where everybody, regardless of political beliefs or past interest in hockey, has come together as one to cheer for our Golden Knights, so win or lose, we win either way.

    Last week I caught a music interlude on PBS which featured such classics as “Rock of Ages,” “God Bless the USA,” “America,” and several others.

    IM-pressive. Enjoyed it. Singers were experienced and didn’t try to doll anything up with a lotta whooping and screeching or instrumentals sounding like a freight train loaded with plumbing supplies running into an 18-wheeler stuffed with pianos and harps.

    Very Christian, very patriotic, and very uplifting.

We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream.” In his Christian Manifesto Francis Schaeffer takes it a rung higher. We don’t battle on one front, such as the freedom front, but on the entire cultural front on the basis of Truth of what the final reality is: impersonal, material humanism with its subjective, ever shifting opinions and strictures that slowly wind toward totalitarianism; or the living God from whom true freedom flows.

    That is the blessing and inheritance of our beloved country for which thousands have given their lives and millions good years of their youth as each generation faces an outcrop of evil as much as the weeds in my garden rise each season. We can do no less in civilian dress.

And they’ll kick up such a fuss, en masse, that the draft won’t last 3 minutes 😦 Not with leftwinger politicians fighting to keep kids out of the military so they don’t get disciplined or hurt or maybe even vote Conservative!!

    Mal! It’d never work here! Sad, because I agree with you 100%…..but it’d never fly anymore. Too many people hate America, too many kids don’t have a clue, too many punks would become like that jerk Hogg and suddenly become rich and famous through their protest!!

    TSA comes to mine in your comparison to Israel: In Israel, their TSA people have always been so highly trained they can tell looking in someone’s eyes if they’re going to put a bomb on an El Al airline…and they LOVE ISRAEL and would rather die than let a plane come down. Here, we hire a lot of people who don’t look like they have a clue (not all, of course, I’m sure some care) and I believe 100% that terrorists could pay a TSA person a million bucks to let them bring a plane down and I’m blown away it hasn’t happened yet. We don’t think so, anyway.. I wish I was wrong! Can’t really compare Israel to us on many things, right!?

    I have to admit I’d not have enlisted, either, were I Obama’s age and there were no wars………..but to slam Trump is RIDICULOUS. Clinton stayed out by staying in SCHOOL. That’s probably what I’d have done because as much as I love this country, I’m a big fat coward!

    We are in seriously dangerous times as a country. This is not going to be a one and done election. The next democrat majority will do this country in. Not in just what they’ll do, but the fact that the voting public actually made the choice.

    Z, the reason Israel has 100% feelings about their country is because they all are Jews and not a mixture of people like us. Patriotism, unfortunately, isn’t universal in our country because of this difference. Like any people, there are political and/or religious differences with the Israelis, like the bearded guys in the Black suits & hats (Orthodox Jews) but they are united patriotically. Unlike us, religion is most likely taught in school, where we aren’t even allowed to mention God. That brings to question, what do they teach to students of other religions like Christians and Muslims living there? As you know, they have Christian and Palestinian citizens, also.

    And Z, I still don’t think you’re getting the picture about the draft. Its not a request or option. Its mandatory, and the spoiled, unpatriotic kids you speak of would get straightened out very quickly. I guarantee you in just 16 weeks of basic training they’d all not only be physically fit, but they’d have a changed attitude. But like you say, it’ll never happen (although it should).
