So…the BIG MEETING is over………..and there’s a LOT OF CRITICISM.   (SURPRISE! :-))  NOT.

Trump says at the press conference : “Our relationship has never been worse than it is now. However, that changed as of about four hours ago. I really believe that,” President Trump said.”

Well, ‘really believe that,” Mr. President……very few do.   But I’m certainly very, very hopeful.

Why did Trump meet 1 on 1 with Putin? What might he be hiding from Bolton, Pompeo, Kelly, & the American public? How will Putin use whatever Trump could be hiding to advantage Russia & hurt America? Trump’s total lack of credibility renders spurious whatever explanation he gives.

Then there was this….

Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of “high crimes & misdemeanors.” It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump’s comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???

I’m not sure Trump didn’t open himself up to criticism and conjecture by having nobody in the room with Putin.  If you want to talk secrets, that’ll do it!  (Other than for possible ‘bugs’ Putin has throughout the room?!!)      But for BRENNAN to talk like this?   To say what he did about Trump?  “Treasonous?”

Yes, it’s hard to see Trump seemingly fall for Putin’s denials, but……isn’t this a way to start SOMETHING?    OR are you one of those who feels Putin can NEVER be trusted, this can’t work, and Trump was naive in hoping it would?  Because plenty of Republicans apparently think that.

Some are saying there seemed to be a ‘thaw’ in the relationship….isn’t that a good thing?

Brennan is using two interesting tactics: deflection, hoping no one will remember Obama’s message to Vladimir, and Alinski’s rules for communist pieces of doo. It will work with the liberal media, but perhaps not with thinking Americans.

Multi-billionaires are never naive. Putin has met his match. Besides, what harm can come in trying for peace? If it fails, what have we lost as long as we don’t give up anything but time spent trying?
If you remember Trump set all this up when he was campaigning by saying he’d never met the man but felt they could have a good relationship. Its all part of his negotiating style. He is the master at it.

  3. geeez2014 says:

Mustang…even FOX fans of Trump are having a bit of trouble with this one…Chuck Hagel just raved about Brennan “The smartest, the most loyal to America”…I despise Brennan and find him a total self serving lying swine, but….I don’t get heard like Brennan does. That matters.
I don’t believe Obama ever came out of a meeting saying he believed Putin over our intel.

Mal, we don’t know what was said in those 2 hours, but a lot of Republicans are very sad and worried, too. This is going over far FAR worse than most people thought…….I believe they should have skipped the Press Conference at the end. Europe is piling it on “Sick to my stomach,” etc., because they’d just been pummeled by Trump so now they can pummel him back.

At this presser, Trump did say he believes Putin over the CIA…which could be true, but talk about defeating for our intel community and most Americans!!

This is a huge mess. It’s going to get very, very ugly. As Lindsay Graham (who’d finally started coming around to Trump lately and supporting him) said “I’d never put that soccer ball in the White House…it’s probably bugged.” Ya.

I PERSONALLY AM HOPING AGAINST HOPE THAT TRUMP WAS TOUGH ON PUTIN BEHIND THE SCENES BECAUSE WHAT HAPPENED IN THE PRESS CONFERENCE IS NOT GOOD. But he certainly couldn’t come out at the presser and say “I told this JERK that we’re not putting up with him anymore…I told him to get the hell out of Syria, Iran, etc. etc etc”
    Of course he couldn’t.

BUT, Trump probably shouldn’t have sounded so acquiescent….I’m sad about this. Didn’t have high hopes because it IS Putin, but …we’ll see. It’s going to be AWFUL for the next few weeks. The Left (and some on the Right) are talking impeachment for the ‘treason’ Brenner suggests, and I’m thinking more will sign on to that now 😦

Boy, when I called for PRAYERS FOR TRUMP in my Sunday Faith Blog, I didn’t expect he’d need them THIS much.

  4. geeez2014 says:

Not sure Trump should have mentioned Strzok’s hearing or Hillary’s emails in the press conference…. If I was Putin, I’d be laughing inside. Don’t know how he didn’t let it show!

Am HOPING Trump says a lot more once he’s back…….and dig himself out of some of what he said to Putin……’s going to be a tightrope because I truly do believe he was FAR tougher on Putin then he’s letting on, and he couldn’t very well come out attacking the guy at the press conference….!!
    we may never know.

They have all their marbles in the Russia basket so all they can do now is trun up the volume a little or a lot each day. Ronald Reagan got along with his Russian counterpart and Still won the cold war. Their butts are still sore from that as they continue to try to demean Reagan and re-write history.

I just saw Nana pelosi say Trump was afraid at the meeting. The private meeting where only Trump and Putin were at…..

  8. geeez2014 says:

This is PROBLEMATIC: Re claims Putin meddled in the elections (which pretty much all agree happened), Trump said “President Putin says it’s not Russia, I don’t see any reason why it should be.”

  9. geeez2014 says:

Kid, you just better said what I’ve been thinking/hoping…GETTING ALONG is not a BAD THING, as Trump said several times…I totally agree with him.
Thanks for that reminder…..I also believe Reagan and Trump were probably tougher in PRIVATE…I guess we’d have to ask Nana pelosi 🙂 HAAAAAAAAA~!

  10. Kid says:

It is clear to me that the CIA, NSA, FBI, DOJ, IRS, and mcu more are actively working against America. The big surprise for me would be that any of them actually support better relations between the US and Russia. Once again, the left has all their marbles in the Russia basket. They can’t do a 180 now even if they wanted to.

I should add that for Brennan to suggest that no president should ever have a one-on-one meeting with another head of state, he proves beyond a doubt that he is a complete idiot. I wonder how in the world he ever reached the position of CIA Director. Man … are we in trouble or what?

    I’m leaving so I’ll see y’alll in a couple of hours…FIRE AWAY!!!

I have to say I’m a little surprised at you guys not seeing some questions about Trump’s comments….

  13. Kid says:

I’m afraid I don’t understand ‘supporting bad relations with Russia’. Brennen and his counterparts in other agencies whether former or current are enemies of America. Let’s get it on.

  14. Z says:

Kid…what I meant is why do you feel Americans would want bad relations? What strikes me is that the media and other leftists seem to only want things to stay bad with Russia…at least trump meant well in this meeting…But he left himself wide open by meeting alone…I’m waiting for the media to.start suggesting he was doing more colluding…this time in person!

  15. Kid says:

The dems have been holding up Russia as the great satan for a long time, and they think they will get some election strategy mileage out of holding up Russia as a very bad man who now Trump is negotiating with. They don’t care who we have good or bad relations with unless it involves them making money or not.
I’m sure Trump checked out all the ins and outs of meeting with Putin alone and I think it may have been a great strategy to do so, as look at them all screaming like Chicken Little’s now. From McStain to Pelosi to Brennen to name your favorite deranged politician or celebrity. Even Lyin Ryan is saying ‘Russia meddled in our elections’ but like all the rest can’t offer a shred of anything meaningful to go with it.

How many times to the promise charges of Treason, or Em Peaches 45 ! and nothing ever comes from it ?

We know who the treasonists are and I sure wish we had an attorney general who would shut them up. In the meantime, they have nothing but dellusionary statements.

  16. geeez2014 says:

Kid, I think Trump blew some of the press conf. and handed his rear end to the left….but I completely support what you said in your comment….I’m hoping he ‘checked out all the ins and outs’….he just showed such silly thin skinneness about his election by mentioning Strzok and Hillary…and other things 😦

  17. Mal Telloian says:

What would we’ve accomplished had we pressed their hacking into our voting? Embarrass them and further strain the relationship? Best to leave it at “we’ll take your word for it so we can get along; but you’ve been put on notice”. I like that better.

  18. geeez2014 says:

Mal, yes, but this gives the Left HUUUGE ammo on how “they worked with Trump to get him elected”…Facts don’t much matter anymore in America; it’s all feelings and people love to hate Trump and the media’s REALLY on steroids about this morning’s news.
As I said above, you can’t embarrass or insult Putin at the press conference…I’m just HOPING Trump did in private…at least FORCING him to STOP.

That is the problem; will they do it again to an election? AND, if it’s FOR a Democrat against a Republican we like, will we be as sanguine about their meddling?!

Meddling as in hacking vote counts (which the communists/dems do regularly) or providing commentary on RU television, or financing pro-Russian voices?
We’ve meddled, as you know, in many foreign elections, assassinated rulers, unsat foreign leaders, funded anti-regime parties.

  41. bocopro says:

Well . . . my daily rant deals with that very topic. My crippled rescue dog woke me at 0100 having another gran mal, and I couldn’t get back to sleep after he settled down.

So I whipped up my take on the meeting in response to what Pelosi, Brennan, Schumer et al. had to say about it which had put me in a bad mood, so the tone is snotty and sarcastic.

Here are the final two paragraphs of the text:

The Comeys, the Brennans, the Clappers, the triumvirate of the “patriotic” “good ol’ boy” network, aka the League of Extraordinary Assholes . . . they, along with the Clintons and the never-Trumpers embraced the corruption, the lies, the spin, the deception with open arms and greedy eyes.

They’re like the onions without the steak, the horseradish without the hot dog, the sour cream without the baked potato. They sigh, they moan, they criticize, they condemn, they editorialize, they wring their hands, they pontificate, but they offer no solid substance, no solutions. They’ll be against Trump if he finds a cure for cancer and develops a safe, non-polluting, self-sustaining, free energy source for homes and vehicles.

After sending it out as an e-mail, I read the comments above and discovered that I’d said much of what’s contained therein.

Oh, and I also read this article, which I should done before writin my rant:

  42. Bocopro: Exactly. The same intel establishment trying to overthrow Trump is to be believed concerning his meeting with Putin?

  43. Kid says:

It is the hypocrisy that I find the most annoying.

🙂 Also I may have to avoid reading ‘news’ for a couple weeks until we move into the next iteration of Trump Derangement Syndrome inspired articles. I’m overstuffed with this subject.

  44. geeez2014 says:

I’m happy you all think he did so great a job! You wouldn’t have changed a thing, right?
I try to be realistic and acknowledge problems because it’s an interesting conversation. I hope we can go ‘there,’ too!

So Dan Coates and all our Intel got it completely wrong?

I said the other day that Hillary is despised by Putin and I think that’s a worthwhile subject that the media has not brought up…….even FOX, some of Trump’s fans there, haven’t mentioned this and I believe it’s an ENORMOUS part of the equation
What’s wrong with saying “Putin despised Hillary for challenging Russian election integrity and that could be why Russia got involved” …(I posted a link the other day here) and maybe that could be a reason he DID NOT WANT HER TO WIN and MEDDLED!? (Ya THINK?) Of course!!
But…nada……, very few , if any , have ever reported on it.

  45. Mal Telloian says:

Z as to your earlier comment that we didn’t need to give the left more ammo, since when does that matter when they are continually twisting or making things up? Also, I don’t think Trump really believes Putin’s firm denial. Trump asked for the meeting and was simply being hospitable to a visiting dignitary. Had he done otherwise, he’d have been criticized for that, also. He has been and continues to be in a no-win situation since even before being sworn in, but shrugs it all off and continues making gains. I don’t believe any of the other 16 candidates could’ve stood up to all the flack being thrown at him.
There is another point to consider: The fact we often have negative comments about what he does from our own GOP shows we are not in lock-step like they are. We use fair and sound judgement where the left have become drones. November will tell us how it is being accepted or interpreted.

  46. Kid says:

Z, Well, I will say, if I were Trump, I’d have said more about how the intelligence people still haven’t produced any evidence and there is no way to bring up the issue in a serious way with Putin without evidence. Putin has been asking for evidence for 2 years. It’s a joke. Again, what does ‘meddling’ specifically amount to as well.

Also, we don’t have any chance to improve the NK situiation if Trump talks to Kim like the person we all know that maniac to be. We’re not going to make any progress with Russia if we believe Putin to be some kind of monster and treat him as such. This is the essence of diplomacy, something Trump shold be doing more often according to the left.

The hypocrisy is so thick you can’t cut it with a chain saw. The left (consisting of democrats, media, celebrities and Rinos) are like a bunch of 3 yr olds sitting pounding their silverware on a table screaming at the top of their lungs. As a result, they don’t get serious attention from me.

  49. geeez2014 says:

Kid, so you believe there is no evidence of tampering at all with elections? I’m not talking about meddling accusations, or collusion …what do you think politicians have seen that makes them believe there has been Russian interference in our elections?

  50. Kid says:

Z, There might be evidence, but they have not produced any. The Russians Mueller initially indicted laughed at him, sent their legal staff over and demanded as defendents to review the evidence in discovery as they have a right to do. Bobby still has not complied. I heard some of it was facebook posts that had not even been translated from Russian.

What politicians have seen? They’re not saying either. I sure don’t believe Russians hacked the DNC server emails. Seth Rich did and now he’s deed and they can’t produce any evidence of Russian involvement there either. It’s really about too pathetic to take seriously let alone expect Trump to go beat Putin over the head with it.

This is all a big ugly question mark floating in the air that the dems hope will sway some votes in November. Now you want to talk about election interference, (by dems, intelligence community, DOJ) we’re getting somewhere ! 🙂

  51. geeez2014 says:

It doesn’t really MATTER if Russian meddling affected one vote……we don’t want meddling here of any kind. And I don’t know how anybody’d know it didn’t, anyway.

Also, meddling in voting has NOTHING to do with COLLUSION between Russia and Trump, which truly hasn’t been proven and probably never will be………

It’s actually kind of fun to watch some of the libs unravel………..

I honestly am starting to feel Trump knows our FBI is filthy to the core and he’s trying to tell us that without upsetting the applecart TOO hard…………Hoping he’s working within the WH to FIX things by lining new people up because you don’t have much of a safe country when you can’t trust your intel people…….and other countries can’t, either.

    THEN what?
