I agree on Thomas. He’s made fun of for not being vocal during oral arguments. I think being quiet means he listening intently. All you have to is read his opinions. Brilliant and principled.

Jerry and Law & Order, I totally agree….Instead of saying Thomas has judicious temperament by keeping more reserved, they say he’s not smart; I’ve heard that said. Awful. He’s quite a man.

YUP. HE HAD A LOT OF COURAGE OVERSEAS….LIKE THE DIXIE CHICKS…REMEMBER? I REMEMBER THINKING ‘HAVE WE COME TO THIS?’

Chairman Grassley was way out of his depth…. I for one, am not banking on it.. a few GOPers are holding their finger in the wind right now. Why didn’t Grassly do it right away/ More time to dig up trouble’. Talking around a couple of weeks… Dems can delay a week..after Grassley calls for a vote.

During the 3-1/2 years of World War 2 that started with the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor in December 1941 and ended with the Surrender of Germany and Japan in 1945, the United States produced 22 aircraft carriers, 8 battleships, 48 cruisers, 349 destroyers, 420 destroyer escorts, 203 submarines, 34 million tons of merchant ships, 100,000 fighter aircraft, 98,000 bombers, 24,000 transport aircraft, 58,000 training aircraft, 93,000 tanks, 257,000 artillery pieces, 105,000 mortars, 3,000,000 machine guns, and 2,500,000 military trucks.
We put 16.1 million men in uniform in the various armed services, invaded Africa, invaded Sicily and Italy, won the battle for the Atlantic, planned and executed D-Day, marched across the Pacific and Europe, developed the atomic bomb and ultimately conquered Japan and Germany.
It’s worth noting, that during the almost exact same amount of time, the Obama administration couldn’t build a functioning website.

Where the heck did you come up with all that data, J.J? It’s very impressive! I was almost in that war. I was in high school when it ended, but at age 22 I served during the “police action” in Korea.

JJ, Beautiful. Yea, almost 3000 Liberty ships built in 3.5 years, most in the earlier of the 3.5 years, and we couldn’t get MRAPS to Iraq while our people were being killed and maimed by IED’s ?
That one will stick with me. STUNNING.
And michelle obama’s friend billing 3/4’s of a BILLION for a no bid non-functioning, insecure, easily overwhelmed by traffic website over 2 years, while my boss and I built a secure, scalable, intra-company website for outside sales people that let them research customers, vendors, items, inventory, appointment calendar, tasks, and anything and everything in a browser that they could possibly want to do in servicing customers and selling in the same two years for our friggin paychecks. We’d a been Thrilled to get paid 2 mil for it. 3/4;s of a BILLION. And it was put in a trash can and re-coded from the ground up by google. Stunning. 500 Million to Solyndra who went bankrupt 2 weeks later ! 18 trillion laundered and stolen ! Where was woodward and bernstein during those years??????
