YIKE! And Trump says there’s nobody in the world as right for US Ambassador than IVANKA! WHAT?

  2. bocopro says:

What I’d like to see her lose is her voice — literally, figuratively, politically, nationally, and economically.

  3. Mal says:

Well, I’m not so sure she’d be that bad. After all, she is well educated and traveled, speaks 4 languages, has owned her own business, and presents herself beautifully. Why not? And he Sir Donald knows he can rely on her.

  4. geeez2014 says:

Mal, I think you mean Melania because I don’t think Ivanka speaks four languages…….And she’s also said she doesn’t want the job.
If Trump had just said “I’d nominate Ivanka because I know she’d do a good job, but I know nepotism would be screamed,” I’d have been 100% behind that statement………

Bocopro…me, too……..I wish Hillary would just GO AWAY but, EVERY DAY NOW she’s ragging on Republicans “How can you agree with a group that wants to ruin our country” is insinuated every single day, the b**ch

  5. Kid says:

Count me as a no vote on Ivanka for the UN purely based on nepotism. Hey, I railed on the idea that American politics seemed 3rd world because it was filled with Bush/Clinton. A Bush/Clinton 2016 election would have made me PUKE. I can extend that to not being happy with the Trump family Bogarting the political scene. There ARE many people qualified to serve in these capacities and I most favorably invite more Non-politicians to join Trump in steering world affairs and populating government positions.

  6. bocopro says:

Y’know what’d be really neat . . . . . . if just after she and Slick go off on their “pay to hear us lie to you” speaking tour, the Justice Guys subpoena her for cross-examination on her “extremely careless handling of classified information,” which is a matter of public record which she cannot deny.

And while they’re at it, they could resurrect some of the “Me-Too” accusations against Slick for his attacks on Juanita Broaderick, et. al.

And finally, an arrest warrant on Holder for threats of bodily harm on public officials and inciting a riot.

  7. bunkerville says:

My understanding is that she turned her clearance in last August on her own. There is a whole lot more to this story I imagine. The WH came out and stated that they had not removed her clearance from what I have read.

  8. Mustang says:

What Bunks said. My understanding is that the hag voluntarily relinquished her clearance, which stymies me in a way. A security clearance isn’t personal property and no person is entitled to have a security clearance. I do understand the advantages of having “former” officials on hand to offer advice to presently sitting secretaries, but the process seems to have morphed into an entitlement of the political elite. When Joe bureaucrat retires from government service, he doesn’t get to “keep” his clearance. Clinton security clearances have been lucrative, however. How many tens of millions have they made since leaving office?

As for Ivanka … what has nepotism to do with this? Is it really favoritism to offer a position to someone who is qualified to serve in one or another capacity? Would anyone prefer to have a UN Ambassador that the president doesn’t trust as much as he does a relative? It isn’t as if Ivanka needs the salary, is it? So if anyone is worried about appearances … how about the appearance of doing what’s right for the nation as our first priority. I’m siding with Mal on this one. I don’t know if she speaks four languages, but she graduated cum laude from Wharton … no dummy, that’s for certain.

  9. jerrydablade says:

I wonder if we’ll ever know exactly WHY Nikki resigned. I’ll miss her verbally slapping around the world’s dictators and despots at the UN on a daily basis, though I did worry about her safety. Our loss for sure. as for Hillary refusing to go away…

  10. geeez2014 says:

Regarding Hillary turning in her own, it’s also said that they allowed this to save face for her.

Jerry, I’ll really miss Nikki, too, and I don’t believe there’s no more interesting reason for her leaving than they’re giving.

  11. Mustang says:

An after thought: does the CIA and NSA (routinely) keep the POTUS in the dark on matters that they think he shouldn’t know, doesn’t need to know, or is not trustworthy enough to be briefed on?

  12. geeez2014 says:

Mustang, if we can have an FBI which performed as HORRIBLY as they did, and probably still do at the top, why not the CIA and NSA?

I’m even wondering if this stop market dip isn’t something planned somehow by the Left…..and I would never believe the Left wouldn’t even include hurting our economy to get the Republicans out….they did throughout Obama’s tenure!

By the way, I never said I didn’t think Ivanka couldn’t be Amb to the UN….But I said saying things like this, which is probably TOTALLY untrue, is silly: “So nice, everyone wants Ivanka Trump to be the new United Nations Ambassador..” EVERYONE? probably not.

This one REALLY got me: ‘He added that he thought there was no one “more competent in the world” than Ivanka Trump.” THAT, I strongly doubt. See, it just opens him to ridicule he doesn’t NEED more of. I’m an Ivanka fan, I think she’s horribly mischaracterized….but stop this stuff.

As for nepotism, he’s surprised they’d call it nepotism? The most ardent Trump fan would think it was nepotism! If she wasn’t his daughter, you think he’d even think of this? I worked in a company for 5 years belonging to a family member and nepotism was rumored until I was told, upon a bigwig in the company seeing my work, “My gosh, you really DO know what you’re doing!” So, I KNOW how it feels to be accused of that. I admire Ivanka Trump and wouldn’t wish it on her. I also know how many hours the UN Amb must spend at work and I wouldn’t wish that on her small children. That’s just wrong.

    Ivanka speaks English and French.

  13. Mal says:

You’re correct, Z. I got the 2 names mixed up. My bad!
(I can give you 90 reasons for the error)!

  14. geeez2014 says:

Mal! Not error, just confused…believe me, I GET THAT! 90 reasons? YOU OK?? XXX

  15. bunkerville says:

Hillary doesn’t give up anything for nothing!!

    Liked by 2 people

  16. I would only vote against Ivanka on the basis that the press would undermine her at every turn, much more harshly than any one else. It would make her tenure unbearable. She doesn’t deserve what they’d do to her. I don’t blame her for turning it down. Ric Grenell would be the guy to me. Prior experience etc. He seems to have the chops to be as successful as Nikki Haley. I’d like to see her on the ticket as VP in 2020. Set her up as first women president.

  17. Mal says:

As a group, the Trumps are intellectuals so if D.J. feels Ivanka could handle it, thats good enough for me. Besides, he wouldn’t have to worry about betrayal.
