“I WANT A WOMAN VP!”

That’s not ME talking, that’s the loony left.  Tammy Bruce, a favorite of mine (even if she IS a Democrat) was on FOX last night and she had 3 smart young Conservative women on with her….they made a great point:

When the Lefty presidential candidates say they want a WOMAN VICE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, isn’t that pandering?  Isn’t that the worst of identity politics? Don’t women want to be picked because they have excellent qualifications, not because THEY ARE WOMEN?

A Black doctor once complained about Blacks getting into medical school easier because they’re Black, he said it made him feel his diploma might be looked at as questionable by patients “did he get in because he’s smart and has a talent for doctoring, or…?”

I think that’s dead wrong,  don’t you?

QUESTION: If a Republican candidate has the nerve to discuss this, will it be well received or regarded as a sexist pig?!

While I’ve never been able to see the logic in stifling and inhibiting and wasting half the brainpower of a tribe or city or nation by denying girls education and women political power, I gotta wonder if this equality thing isn’t meddling with a modus operandi that’s worked quite well for centuries.

In traditional societies, the hand that rocks the cradle ultimately crafts the decisions that govern the whole shebang (doble entendu intended). Children, regardless of gender, are entrusted to their mothers, aunts, grandmothers, nannies, older sisters for development of language, morals, socialization, and all the basic behaviors through which everything else they learn in life is filtered.

Even today, when a virile, powerful, successful young man is set upon by reporters after a big match or game or campaign, one of the first things that comes outta his mouth when the lights hit his face and the mic is shoved under his nose is, “Hi, Mom,” and often “Thanks, Mom!”

It’s rarely “Thanks, Dad.” It’s virtually always Mom. Boys grow up learning damned near everything from women, at least until little tiny hairs begin to grow in places where previously there were none. Then the men come along and kidnap the boys to take them to the dark, secretive, inner sanctum of the long house where they’re introduced to reality and taught just exactly how fragile the male grip on power is.

At that point they go through a ritual designed to perpetuate the myth of male intellectual superiority, especially in the fields of politics, economics, and leadership, just like Spanky and Alfalfa and the other guys with their “He-Man Womun Haters Club.”

In the past half century, tho, that paradigm has become jangled, warped, infected, and confused to the point that today’s women have transformed themselves into the men that women of the past wanted to marry.

The original plan produced women such as Boudicca, Catherine, Jeanne d’Arc, Elizabeth I, Golda, Amelia, Katherine (Hepburn) Benezir, Maggie, Eleanor, Dolly (Parton), Indira, Lucille (Ball) . . . leaders, innovators, pioneers, warriors, adventurers.

Today, though, our system seems to have developed some scratched bearings and faulty wiring, producing a crop of men with dangerous hormone imbalances who say only what they think other people want to hear them say and a cadre of women with a surplus of testosterone whose only lust is for power and whose mantra is “It’s my turn, dammit. So hit the road, Jack.”

Waters? Warren? Rodham? Madonna? Streisand? O’Donnell? Harris? Klobuchar? Mooch? Wasserman-Schultz? Pelosi? Hirono? I’m not sure I want any of those rocking the cradle. And I definitely wouldn’t want any of ‘em givin me pillow talk in the dark about decisions concerning money, ethics, strategies, or goals.

Looks to me as if we’ve worked our political selves up into some sort of “Let’s get it over with and maybe we’ll get lucky . . . but not the top seat – just the Veep chair: you know – try it on and see how it fits first . . . sorta ease into it.”

Le cause celebre, le fad du jour.

I would look at a young doctor and wonder if he/she is qualified. My doc in his late 40’s had to do 8500 hours before getting his license to practice. At some point after that he tells me they only have to do 5000. 3500 hours less is significant.

democrats always pander. When are people going to figure out dems and lots of repubs don’t give a S about them ?

Repubs are going to get hammered regardless what they say about anything. Government is broken.

Talking about opening a can of worms , just wait until the Media, and the Republicans start talking about Crazy Uncle Joe Biden.
Groping women isn’t going to be Joe Biden’s only problem….
Joe’s well connected son Hunter Biden was the subject of a criminal investigation by Ukrainian authorities that Joe got killed by threatening to pull $1 billion dollars in U.S. loan guarantees according to Biden himself as he bragged about his actions at a Council on Foreign Relations meeting
If you think the Biden groping scandals are bad just wait till the media is forced to report on how his son, Hunter, secured massive deals with the Chinese (America’s greatest enemy) just days after Uncle Joe visited there.

I find it amazing voters pay no attention to whether someone is qualified to be running things. Back around 2008, some commies who used to set next to us at lunch mentioned they were voting for clinton. Why? “Well, she’s been through it before.” Through what? The kitchen?

Young people really don’t have a bead on reality, they have them focused social justice issues so to them it was time for a black president who didn’t have a single accomplishment to his name, then elect him again for fear of being called racist. Yes, it will eventually be time for a woman president, a Mexican, a Moslem, a priest, a pauper, or a Prince, a Russian, Someone with Down syndrome or autistic, then eventually a talking pear.

They say Medicare will be broke in 7 years, Social Security in 2035, so what the hey, I may even vote for the pear.

Ed, I am doing so. The amount I will collect between 66 and 70, assuming no appreciation at all, means I’ll be 77 before I start ‘losing’ money given the different amounts between age 66 and 70 starting point. That’s acceptable to me. Could get hit by a truck ya know.

ED & KID, it is a conundrum, isn’t it? Even before the S/S fund was being threaten with insolvency you had to guess “how long do I expect to live”? When it was age 65, I figured age 77 was the breakeven point w/o annual increases. I took it at age 63 1/2 which was mid way between 62 & 65 at the time. I did so because thats when they were pushing the starting age back and there was talk it might be retroactive, so I jumped in. One of the worst decisions I ever made, also because my wife’s S/S is based on my earnings (she only worked 6 or 7 years total). Its you call. Ya puts yer money up and gamble!
Damn LBJ for robbing the fund! If he hadn’t, we could justify making changes based on what is in the fund, but now? And don’t forget Medicare was his idea, also.

I always ask the same questions, no matter if it is a man or a woman competing for elective office. Why should gender matter? Actually, it shouldn’t —but that assumes that men and women are accorded the same opportunities for professional and personal growth. Some women are, but most are not. This isn’t a matter of education, although education never hurts, but just because someone has a college degree doesn’t make them intelligent —particularly since affirmative action and political correctness has transformed our colleges and universities into diploma mills. There is no learning going on —only parroting. The poster child for this problem is AO-C, but she isn’t alone and party affiliation doesn’t matter. Whatever made McCain think that Sarah Palin was a good leader?

Neither does a good education equate to good leadership. Years ago, two of my subordinates were women. One, a first lieutenant, the other a sergeant. The lieutenant came from the white bread social strata; daddy paid for her college education and then somewhere within those four years, she decided that she wanted to be a Marine. The sergeant was a Hispanic with a high school diploma. The only reason anyone would follow that lieutenant would be from idle curiosity. The sergeant had more leadership in her little finger than the lieutenant did in her whole being. The difference in the two was like night and day. It wasn’t that the lieutenant didn’t have opportunities to display her leadership ability —she just wouldn’t know leadership even if it bit her on the ass. She was focused on self. She was petty. Lacked common sense, and mostly full of shit. The sergeant was selfless, motivated, cool headed, extremely intelligent, always demanding excellence from herself and her subordinates, trustworthy, required minimal supervision. Two women, same uniform, major differences in their ability to lead.

Before I vote for anyone, I want to know what kind of leader they are. Following that, what are they saying now, and how does that relate to what they’ve said (and done) in the past? Are they actually qualified for the job? Do I trust them? Do they love America as much as a Marine Corps private does? So, by this time, for me at least, the field has narrowed considerably. I used to vote against as much as for, but I’ve gotten past that now. Now, if there are no candidates who meet my expectations, I’ll just stay home on election day. Not voting for a liar, thief, or moron is as much a civic duty as electing someone like George Bush or Barack Obama.

Sure, ladies … step up to the plate. Let’s see what you’re made of.

No, not pandering, not exactly. Political maneuvering is more accurate. And of course anyone can say anything on the political stump, and never follow through on those vacant promises. It’s politics, after all; nobody is held to their stump promises, once in office. Assuming you are a Democrat, naturally. Now a Republican is held to every syllable that ever leaves their pie hole for the rest of their lives. Also politics, see how this works?

I seem to recall that then-candidate Ted Cruz (R-Tx) selected Carly Fiorina (a woman) as his veep, even before he had secured the nomination (which never happened anyway); something usually reserved for announcement during the convention. Was that pandering? Naw. Just politics.

Mustang, we’ve all heard more than once women say I have a Masters or PHD and stuck at home conversing with 3 and 4 year olds. Many have the education and don’t use it. As for McCain choosing Sarah Palin, personally I thought it was a great choice, even her loving Moose Stew. She had her state of Alaska debt-free plus a good reserve; she negotiated an annual payment from the Oil Companies of $1,200 per person for everyone in the state. With that attitude, who knows what she might have accomplished as V.P?

Mal, Yessir, the crux of the biscuit is “How long do I expect to live”. Not exactly a math equation.

If the SS fun wasn’t moved into the general (even as a single data point), then also if they didn’t give SS funds to MS-13 members etc., the fund could probably be so healthy that a discussion could ensue about how SOME portion of it could be used to help out other areas of Purely American issues Without Damaging The Fund. Isn’t it fun to lay down some logic while knowing the federal government doesn’t even know what the word means? 🙂

Well, I want to go to some AOC rallies and just start yelling out match questions “WHAT IS 3 TIMES 16?” “WHAT IS 7 PLUS 5”. Oh well “she is the youngest person elected to congress and she is learning”. Forget the idea that people elected to lead the country actually already Know Stuff !

It’s so absurd I can’t even get mad anymore. it would be like getting mad at a dog who identified as a spider. I’m not playing. Just observing and hoping it goes black hole level nuts.

Fredd, Yea, I’ve always said that election campaigns are nothing more than ‘the seduction of the idiots’.
It’s all demographics and marketing. If the polls came in and said the majority(or a significant number) of American voters were gung ho for legalizing pedophilic activity down to the age of 6 months, you can bet some of these critters would have ‘pedophilia of even 6 month old children being legalized’ as one of their planks. I’ll put money on it.

AND THE IDEA OF VOTING FOR A WOMAN MERELY BECAUSE SHE’S FEMALE MAKES ME SICK.

LET’S NOT FORGET; THIS IS THE SAME PARTY WHICH DOESN’T WANT GENDER ACKNOWLEDGED AND THEN DEMANDS A WOMAN TAKE A SPOT IN POLITICS?

One of my favorite stories is being a barracks chief and having the colonel take me on the surprise inspection.
He pointed to the urinal drain holes in the porcelain and I told him that the guy had scrubbed and scrubbed.
The colonel pulled out it his pen knife and scraped it away, washed his knife and pocketed it.
    Later, I did the same.

And you’re sick at the idea of voting for a woman because she’s a woman? You must have missed the memo of that great intellect Madelaine Albright: “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other.” (I wonder where she stood on supporting Carly Fiorina’s campaign? Or protecting unborn girl babies from being murdered by their mothers.) Yeah, it stinks. The lamest excuse of all.

I pray for Melania and their son all the time. We never know when that prayer is the one that stands in the gap between them and more danger. E.g., last night Mr. B wandered off at 9, and I could not reach him on his cell. We connected briefly, I searched but he gave me wrong location. Then I could not reach him at all – straight to vmail. I set 10 pm as the ‘call the police’ time and prayed for my peace, his protection and the Lord to work out His plan that night. Then I had realpeace and sat down to eat a brief dinner. At 9:52 a good Samaritan called on his behalf, and I had him home before 11. I totally believe in that prayer!

I would love some day to see a qualified, great President elected as our leader, who just happens to be a woman. But I don’t want ANY President elected based on identity politics.
