    I’m happy for you Geeez….but…,
One day in 1961 while on vacation at grandpa and grandmas in Michigan, reading through the entire newspaper as I did on a daily basis at the ripe old age of 10 1/2 I came across front page news saying that Ty Cobb, the Detroit Tigers player- manager for 22 seasons and the first player inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame had died. From that moment on until recently I was a loyal and devoted fan not only of the Detroit Tigers but also the Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons and NY Knicks, a Detroit Red Wings and NY Rangers fan. A almost rabid fan I followed the New York Mets and Jets since 1962, the NY Giants (I have a personal friend who played two seasons with the lions and 11 seasons with the NY Giants) since 1964. As a Tigers fan I hated the NY Yankees but followed then, As of this past summer I am an ex-fan of every and all professional sports. As I’ve told more than a handful of people who attempted to start a conversion pertaining to pro sports my retort has been the same to all: I have no interest in multi-millionaire crybabies and their billionaire owners who have no respect for our national anthem, our flag our president and our country. Even sadder is that I don’t even miss any of it.

I*’m not sure the Dodgers have exhibited much antipatriotism, but probably!
I’m not a BIG baseball fan but World Series IS World Series! And we hadn’t won in 32 years, and that’s bad for a team that’s quite good and has come close many times, right?

I AM A BASKETBALL FAN, LAKERS, for whom LEBRON JAMES’ statements about BLM have ruined me. I wish Kobe was alive; he was conservative and may have helped SMACK HIM DOWN FOR ME 🙂

Peter, I had an old uncle who was at the game where Lou Gehrig retired because of ALS….Imagine? Ty Cobb; GREAT GREAT PLAYER!
