Sunday Faith Post

Too much is going south, and going south FAST, to even know what to ask prayer for…..

Let me know what YOU think is the MOST important thing we can be praying for these days.

What about you?

Mark 9:29  And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”

For a miraculous end to the wokeness and political correctness sweeping the land like a plague and a joyous renaissance of sublime common sense and adult accountability to take its place.

  2. A spiritual awakening in the land. That eyes might be opened to recognize the deceit and the father of lies.

  3. kidme37 says:

For things to go to hell so fast and so low that even the blind and deaf cannot avoid recognizing the evil surrounding us.

Everyone has their own priorities, which for me are:
    Thanks for my many blessings
    Asking for forgiveness
    Asking for strength and wisdom
Asking for His blessings upon my family and friends

    BOCOPRO….so wise, thanks…excellent.

ED; absolutely….might be the ONLY thing that will turn us around.

KID: THAT is what I’ve meant when I say Biden just might be the one to be so horrible even centrist Dems could vote Republican in 2022! Well put.

MUSTANG: Gratitude is the key………for our lives. I know my own Bible study group and I’ve been talking about being quarantined, not seeing family and all those challenges and remembering that it’s not hard to find things to be grateful for and how that lifts us up.

LET’S ALL PRAY FOR ALL THOSE THINGS MENTIONED….bringing people back to Christian faith, the end of PC and return of common sense, for things to go downhill so EVERYONE wakes up and says THIS HAS TO STOP!, and our own prayers for our families and loved ones who are caught in this leftwing nightmare.

  7. kidme37 says:

Sorry Z, but why would voting Republican do us any good?

As an aside, and I know that Covid is real for people you know, but have you seen pics of the Natl Guard, packed in, sleeping on marble floors in the Capitol and without masks or doing social distancing. Really tired of the BS…

    @ Kid:
Agreed. Voting republican is tantamount to kissing your own ass goodbye.
The overriding concern for the majority might be how soon do we each get our $2,500, before or after President Harris slithers into the Oval Office?

**** Fifty years ago one could buy a new american made car for those two and 1/2 g’s, today one can buy a set of four new foreign made tires plus a fee for disposal of your old tires.

  10. kidme37 says:

@Peter, yea I remember a hot rop line model 1968 Camaro was going for $2,500. It’s been a good while that you could buy one for less than $25,000 for the low end model. So, about 10 to 1 on the inflation from 1970 to say 2010.. And medical ? You can’t even come up with an inflation ratio for medical. Suffice to say it is unaffordable. Soon it will be unavailable.

Well, I have to respect history on the repubs. This is not just my feelings on the matter. They had both houses during the first 6 years of GW Bush. Didn’t do Anything. Nothing. Had both houses for DJT’s first two years, not only did they not do anything, they actually came up with their own version of obammycare after every stinkin one of them ran on the promise of repealing obamacare. They actually tried to take ownership of that medical abortion.

    I’m done voting.

Worse yet, the repubs could have created legislation to keep us from having elections that can be stolen this easily. VOTER picture ID card with one time use like Z told us about in use in Germany – and software created that is open and verifiable back to each ballot tied to each unique voter ID. Racist to require Voter ID ? How about this – Every black person in America gets a picture voter ID card regardless of owning or not citizen documentation. We’ll even come to their house, take their picture and produce and hand them the card on the spot. Not black? You better have documentation.

In regards to my BS comment, it wasn’t just about the heavy handed Covid stuff. It is Everything in our outside world in America – the world for that matter. Everything. Literally Drowning in BS everytime you expose yourself to the outside world. Didn’t used to be like that. Plus there are so many people down with all of it making it that much worse. I’m not going to be spending much time or energy on it.

  11. bocopro says:

On the topic of BS . . . a snippet excerpted from today’s rant:

Oh well . . . . it’s sure gonna be nice come early February when all the unity and economic growth and racial healing magically introduced by the Biden/Harris administration kicks in, ain’t it.

And how pleasant it’ll be when all those hateful Trumpist Nazis are driven from office in the House and Senate and the Swampisteros can begin removing the archaic conservatives from the Supreme Court.

So much simpler when half a dozen companies headed by billionaires make all the decisions about ethics and morals and political correctness for us, the Apple, Google, Twitter, Amazon guys.

Yeah, much better. As Goebbels taught us, control the information and you can dictate how it is presented, discussed, discarded, or spun. They can make anyone who has only partial data look foolish and biased, whether they are or not. Kinda like the Hands up/don’t shoot myth and the BLM “movement.”

Free speech becomes a fantasy, a chimera, used only when it gives advantage to the information monopolists. It doesn’t make bullshit true, but it does allow the bullshit artists to get away with it. It’s called propaganda. And the most effective way to get out the message you want people to hear is to shut down all the competition and change the subject.

The modus operandi is that the system tells us what it wants us to hear. The system then presents its lies. Then it lies about the lies. Then it lies about lying about the lies. Eventually it makes you doubt your own knowledge.

I may have mentythis before but bears repeating: on July 22, 1958 I was admitted to Christ Hospital in Jersey City, NJ withType I diabetes. Back then if you were admitted with a hangnail the hospital stay was 10 days: yes 10 days. My mother received a bill for $900- yes $900.00. How do I remember? I gave my mom $700 towards the bill from my paper route savings. Today it’s $7.00 for the visitors parking garage. I believe in NYC at Columbia Presbyterian it was $25-50 per daily parking last year when my wife visited her daughter after heart surgery.

Don’t agree at all…Republicans will always be better than ANY Democrat and if that’s my choice, that’ll be my vote. I’m also cheered by the younger Republicans in Congress who are trying to stand firm.
Had we an honest media, we’d be seeing their efforts far more……

BUNKERVILLE’s right…Prayer is about all we’ve got, as I quoted from Mark in my post.

BOCOPRO; i believe it’s not only Republicans disagreeing with the way our leftwing social media is censoring.

Yes, Z. Repubs are generally better than ANY Democrat in this day.

This will be my top prayer, and going out to my bible study:
“That the people of God are in the word of God and submitted to the will of God. That we adhere to the gospel and be faithful to the privilege of life and ambassadorship you’ve bestowed on us.”
“that You, Lord, will subvert the plans of the wicked against your people and your purposes. Turn their efforts against them, and frustrate them with the futility of one trying to push the beachball under the water.”

The most important thing we can pray for? I’d say being worthy of making it into heaven ’cause things are going downhill so fast! Look not only at our politics, but at the whole world. Over crowded, starvation, natural disasters, unhinged immorality, lack of common sense (gender I.D., etc). Add to that the attempt by big tech to take control of the world aided by COVID-19, its a no-brainer. We are in turbulent times and things are progressing (digressing?) very rapidly.

    @Peter – 1968 badly broken leg, 120 shots morphine, 45 days in hospital, 2 surgeries – $1,800.00.
My folks did not have a lot of money, maybe the surgeon gave them a break, don’t know. Imagine that today tough. 7 figures for sure.

I don’t always know how to interpret the ‘promises’ or commentary in Psalms, but I sure like this:
“The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright. But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.”
    Ps. 37

  21. Mustang says:

    @ Kid and Peter
Anyone who understands crony capitalism won’t bother to vote because they know that our country is so irreversibly corrupt; the only people who end up on the winning side are those who are financially invested in lawmakers. It doesn’t matter which political party the crony capitalist identifies with because they stand to make a ton of money whenever the pendulum swings back in their direction. For them, American politics is a win-win (wait your turn) proposition, and the only losers are those who mistakenly think WE THE PEOPLE control our nation’s destiny. Nothing could be further from the truth.

You’re right, Kid. Your post does sound encouraging. There is so much going on right now we don’t know what to expect. But at least its encouraging to hear so many are stepping down, and I had wondered why the sudden exodus from politics on such a massive scale.

MUSTANG: I may not understand crony capitalism but I will vote, believe me. I hear too many things from the freshmen going to the Hill and others to believe it’s all crony capitalism.

BAYSIDER, very good verses……got to pray on those!

  24. geeez2014 says:

KID, sadly, I see that becoming a hideous anti-Right explosion……because the media will NEVER tell the truth and the Guard will be killing Conservatives as the media says how nasty they all are and they asked for it.
Tell me how you AND MAL see it differently so I can feel cheered up!!!

Remember, I said I think this build up all over the country against Conservatives (and let’s be honest, that’s all it is…the Feds keep reminding America “…it’s those who don’t believe the election was valid who we are worrying about” Odd we didn’t hear much from them all Spring and Summer during the protests which had every citizen in every community scared to death, huh?

THIS IS ALL A SET UP to make the Right look just as bad as they can………….

By the way, don’t count on Angela Merkel going down……..

  25. kidme37 says:

I sure don’t know Mal. We should find out soon enough.

It is a setup Z. It has multiple purposes n the US, the least of which is gun confiscation – then what will they be emboldened to do once they have the guns. This stuff didn’t just pop out of the left’s idea hopper, they’ve been planning for these events a Long time.

On the encouraging side, it could be that other important countries create and elect political leaders who we might describe as Conservative. The UK finally had enough and voted Boris and Brexit.

  27. kidme37 says:

@Mustang, agree 100%, But we still had DJT for 4 years instead of the beast and life got better for a bunch of people who were employed by that. We also avoided having that satanic beast cackling from the White House. No more DJT’s going forward though. Who would do that to themself now?

  28. Baysider says:

We are in a spiritual war – no mistake!

@ Ed “A spiritual awakening in the land.” We’ve pray for that in our bible study. I actually tuned in to John MacArthur’s church this morning and was soooo glad I did. The county/city (not clear) threw everything at them after they decided to open up again. There was the general threat to shut off the water and power of anyone like that. When 4 staffers of 240 were positive for Covid the media trumpeted it as an epidemic at the church. They have been harassed with multiple “inspections,” fined weekly and hauled into court 9 times. At the last one the judge said to the governing authority “I don’t want to see you here again over this!” The church has leased a parking lot 2 blocks away from the county for 45 years. They got a 30-day notice to vacate without explanation. Also overturned in court.

They’ve held 11 weddings and 14 funerals in the lockdown, and provided temporary jail quarters for the LAPD during the riots, plus meals and bibles.

They’ve added 1,000 new members! One young man came to buy a particular bible for his brother in prison. The brothers grew up in the neighborhood and always called it “that church that everybody goes to.” (It’s crammed into an old, rundown residential neighborhood where people stream in from off-site parking in 2 directions – very visible.) Brother got saved in prison. Told the free brother to “get over there to that church that everybody goes to” and he did.

Merkel: according to Bloomberg Armin Laschet who won the party election is the only one of the 3 candidates who bears no grudge against Merkel. Opinion is mixed on whether he will become Chancellor. But what I found most intriguing in this article was the description of Laschet as “jovial.” So, so un-Germanic.

  30. geeez2014 says:

KID, could be…Brazil is conservative….many ARE going that way…..fingers crossed!!
    And ya, I think it’s a set-up, too………….and about guns, great point.
Sorry to hear the NRA went bankrupt in NY. NOT good.

BAYSIDER: Every time we’ve counted Merkel out (and my conservative German friends over there), she’s come out ahead. Let’s hope NOT THIS TIME. She certainly is NOT JOVIAL 🙂
But you know my Mr. Z was!!!

Have had lunch with MacArthur at Wilma’s and, ever since then, have tried to get to admiring him far, no go. I threw a CD right out the window of his, full of anti Catholic idiocy. My cousin left that church after a private mtg with MacArthur where he asked “And you think AIDS is God’s punishment?” Answer was YES. My straight cousin left never to return.

Not saying he hasn’t done a LOT of good..and I’m still trying.

  31. Baysider says:

Understand how you feel about MacArthur. Still, he’s a bulwark right now, at the point of the spear with a solid board and the holy spirit behind him. When most of the jail chaplains bailed, his church supplied the need. Lots of other stuff no one sees, putting love in action. I too think God has pulled back His protection which allowed a lot of these new thorns in the side to our wicked society. Not prepared to declare it “punishment” but AIDS has a lot of company in that basket.

My German teacher could also be jovial, in a German sort of way. What does she have in common with Mr. Z? Lived here a long time. In fact, from age 13 she grew up in the Dominican Republic and reflected that in her manner, too.

  32. Baysider says:

Oh – the NRA. I was unhappy to read the financial goings on if they are accurate as stated. They are the principal game and I expect them to work like true believers. I think this move gets them out of the clutches of the rabid attorney general of New York, the same one going after Trulmp. At least that’s the strategy. Re-organize and register in Texas. The way that’s going they should pick Idaho.
