Please pray for Israel.    They did not shoot first.   And they have every right to defend themselves.

As Golda Meir so wisely said  “There will be peace in the Middle East only when the Arabs love their children more than they hate Israel.”

And “We Jews have a secret weapon in our struggle with the Arabs; we have no place to go.”

And WOW:  ““The world hates a Jew who hits back. The world loves us only when we are to be pitied.”

Pray for PEACE.  Pray for Palestinians who keep saying they want equality but keep hitting Israel.  They might, could, find equality and prosperity for their children if it was only prosperity they desired.

“The Lord has remembered us; he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron; he will bless those who fear the Lord, both the small and the great.”   Psalm 115: 12-13

AMEN.   God is good.

As a 16 year old following the six day war I saw it in black and white (figuratively): Israel was justified in defending itself against would be bullies, aggressors of overwhelming odds. The world saw it differently then, again in 1973 and still today Israel is seen as the bad guy, the aggressor. What’s changed is the US cannot be counted on as an ally or a friend. For the Israelis to do so may be foolish. Obama and Biden, Biden and Obama may they share adjoining cells in Dante’s Inferno.

    @ Peter

What any of us believes is true about the Israelis may be entirely subjective because few of us know the facts surrounding any aspect of ancient or modern Israeli history. We know what the Bible tells us about the Judeans and Israelis, and one has to think that if the Jews were God’s chosen people, it would not do to find yourself on His ugly side. If the Jews did not enjoy God’s favor before the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, they were really in trouble after they’d crucified Him. Of course, since no Israeli alive today had anything to do with that, it may be well to move forward without any religiously based prejudices.

Being horribly persecuted throughout Europe, Jews began returning to their homeland in the late 1800s. These industrious people transformed the desert into productive farmland, which is something the Arabs had not been able to do since … forever. Jealousy is what started the squabble we see today, transformed into deep hatred since the Jews declared their independence in 1948, and from every account, it is only growing worse every single year. What holds the Arab people together is their hatred of anything, not Arabic. Hatred is the glue that binds them as a culture and as a society and were it not for their focused hatred of the Jews and the United States, they would have long ago destroyed themselves.

The US had every good (well-intentioned) justification for supporting Israel in its early, formative period. But I seriously question why the American taxpayer must continue to support the Jewish state. By now, more than 70 years later, they are (or should be) capable of defending themselves. If Israel survives, it must be as a result of their own efforts, not ours. There are no national interests in involving ourselves in the infantile behaviors of any Middle Eastern society. And, Luke advises, Medice, cura te ipsum. We should focus first on healing ourselves. The US today is a very troubled land and one that deserves our full attention.

PETER, six months ago, Israel COULD depend on the US as its friend again, finally, and benefited by it.
Today, you’re absolutely right………NO confidence in the weak old man, Biden.

MUSTANG: I wrote and wrote and wrote here and deleted it. It’s too complicated a subject…I’m a Bible studier and they are God’s Chosen People, yes….the grand scheme is fascinating and known only to God, but they honor him in ways many Christians do not, and Islam still follows Mohammed.
Of course HATRED is what drives Palestine…JEALOUSY, really….and it is not what drives Israel. Says a lot.
Anyway, I don’t agree that Israel’s existence isn’t important in that area.

As my Rabbi friend emailed me last night, this is about IRAN today. (too complicated to quote his whole information here) Even for just that reason alone, I’d support Israel today.

While I agree wholeheartedly with your analysis Israel has the capability to wipe off the face of the desert these haters, these godless sand monkeys in dirty nightshirts and Nikes , these ignorant self hating followers of a death cult masquerading as a religion of peace but does not now nor will it ever due to deep and complex issues and at the same time as simple as why knuckleheads here would vote for Spunky and Tadpole to lead this nation.
At risk of showing my ignorance I can’t help but think in simplistic terms.
I will leave you now in this beautiful day here in the People’s Republic if New Jerry as I head out to umpire a men’s league baseball doubleheader.,

PETER, have fun at the game!! So cool to umpire…but stressful, I imagine?

Re analysis of Israel…..think IRAN. And Biden’s and Obama’s coziness with them…..nobody in this admin is warm to Israel, that’s for sure.
Palestine is like just another seat at Biden’s Cabinet table…deserving that honor is reserved for diversity, not meritocracy. Biden’s silly puppetmasters look at Israel, and Israel’s success somewhat mimics ours. and they hate it…..they can’t have successful countries; it ruins the globalist plan.

Mustang, I’d rather support Israel financially than keep giving Arab countries that hate us money, like Obama did to Iran (150 Billion in cash on a plane). You are spot on when you said hate is the glue that binds the Arabs.

  8. MAL says:

Actually,we have no business giving any money to anyone when we’re trillions in debt, but nobody ever talks about that or what our future plan might be to address it. the debt continues to be ignored by both parties.

Right, Mal. We have plenty of cash to give to Israelis or Arab nations who hate our guts, but we still have hundreds of thousands of people here at home who have no roof over their heads and inadequate food to nourish their bodies … “Physician, heal thyself.”

  10. MAL says:

Right, Mustang, plus we still can’t balance the budget for the current year. What is our long-term plan? No one ever addresses that. We work hard all our lives to be debt-free while our government puts us deeper and deeper in debt. From what I can gather, we are quickly approaching $100,000 per person debt, all while collecting and spending our taxes.

Right, Mustang. We work hard all our lives so we can retire debt-free but still end up approaching $100,000 per person debt by our government, all the while collecting taxes from us. Whats wrong with this picture?

Sorry about the double-posting. It disappeared the first time (remember I can’t see what I’m typing)

What happens is, the rectangular box below “LEAVE A REPLY” only shows half of the typing line I’m on an I have to scroll up or down a bit to even see that much otherwise I see nothing. Any ideas, anyone?

  13. Baysider says:

When Islam was bearing down on Persia eons ago, they proclaimed: “Submit or you will meet men who love death as much as you love life.” That has not changed. Nations have every right to defend themselves through, well, defense, and proscriptive actions like, say, sealing off secret tunnels your neighbor dug to ferry mayhem into your country. Or a building that does the same. Or, BUILD A WALL. Hey – it worked in Israel.

  14. Baysider says:

Mal: type your statement up in another program. Do you have word? Or even a blank email. Then copy and paste it in. I don’t know what to say about the box. It grows as I type. But on other blogs I get 3 lines and have to scroll.

  15. There is something to be said about a nation that miraculously reappears on the map after almost a couple thousand years, fulfilling prophecy that most Christian theologians felt must have been speaking of something else.
So, as Harry Truman felt, maybe supporting them might be good policy, seeing as God seemed to have a hand in it.
