Sunday Faith Post

I saw this phrase and thought it might be one of the wisest, most important line we could read…

“EVERY DAY IS A SECOND CHANCE.”

I think that’s true.   I think that is often about HOPE, that things will be better tomorrow…that it’s often in our hands, even in just hoping we’re in a better mood tomorrow, which has been my prayer for a while, got to admit.

I believe most of us are quite worried and even flattened by what’s going on in America today;   just mentioning a few here would hardly be worth it, we all know, and there are far, far too many.

SO, HOPE is a second chance……even if it’s just a HAPPIER DAY TOMORROW.

We certainly know many Scripture verses which remind us that tomorrow can always be better, our futures can be eternal and perfect.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”   1 John 1:9

Just thought I’d give my thoughts …… hope it makes sense and that you’re somehow blessed by them.

Happy Sunday !  Z

  1. Since I’m reading this with my breakfast, I think I’ll look at today as a second chance, and not wait for tomorrow. 😀
I am reminded of a billboard near my house:
Every sinner has a past, every saint has a future.
And the only difference between each is a commitment.

    ED..Every morning is a second chance…right!!
I like that billboard….it CAN go with the phrase in my post today! Hopefully!!
    Yes, a ‘commitment’ is right.

As an aside, there is a small article in todays paper “Trump’s New Social Media Venture has $1 B in Capital’. This is what we’ve been waiting for. It’s called Trump Media and Technology, or TMTC. The plan is for it to become a publicly traded company via a merger with Digital World Acquisition Corp., a special-purpose acquisition company whose sole purpose is to acquire private companies and take it public. I believe this is what everybody has been hoping would happen in answer to all the censoring by the left.

MAL, now let’s see how bad this hurts Digital World Acquisition Corp….they may be so totally snubbed they’ll have to close because of having ANYTHING to do with Trump 😦

    @ Mal

I’m certainly not opposed to any media that offers access to every individual, regardless of their point of view, which is what “free speech” means, but I suspect that the TMTC effort will do nothing to restore rational conversation or good faith dialogue in our society. We’re too far gone for that, which means that at best, it will become a platform for as many far-right whackos as Google, Facebook, and Twitter is for the whackos on the left. Zero-sum game? Crumbs. How did we ever get to this point?

MUSTANG: I think I agree with you. And it all depends on TRUMP. Yes, yes, yes….I know (as I hear here often) that the media would hate him no matter what he says, but I don’t believe that handing phrases to them is smart.
I don’t believe calling people stupid school yard names is something smart or anything we’d like children to emulate, I don’t believe never saying anything empathetic to the public about covid or anything else helped, I don’t believe not explaining better his relationships with China, etc., helped at all, I don’t believe swearing at rallies was smart (but it SURE got a lot of red hat Trump fans thrilled…)..He wasn’t always truthful………..I could go on and on.

Imagine if Trump DID open this site and became more like Reagan! Before you all chime in with THE MEDIA HATED HIM, TOO!, they did, but they couldn’t grab on to stupid, mean spirited lines or clear untruths from Reagan. I believe Trump COULD do that, too…..

AND I AM NOT SAYING TRUMP DIDN’T DO F A N T A S T I C THINGS! hE DID!! HE WAS A MARVELOUS ‘DOER’!!!!! MAYBE BETTER THAN REAGAN EVER DREAMED OF DOING….

IMAGINE IF TRUMP HAD DONE THOSE THINGS, EXPLAINED THEM CLEARER FOR THE LEFTWING DOPEY MASSES, AND KEPT HIMSELF ELEGANT AND KIND…AND POWERFUL? WOWZA.

I have to admit I NEVER heard ANY president know so much on every topic reporters asked him about…….(even if he had to make up a little stuff if he didn’t quite know everything!!!) That man knew the most minute details of every subject….costs, history, names………… let’s put it this way:

HE ALWAYS KNEW EXACTLY WHERE HE WAS! 🙂

Mustang and Z, I’m not so sure about the dismal prospects for success for TMTC. I look at it this way. If Fox News is the most popular news channel, which we keep hearing it is, then why not TMTC, also? It would draw from the same crowd.

Comparing Trump to Reagan ain’t fair. The media and the left were much different during Reagan’s term in the 1980’s. Remember congressional speaker Tip O’Neal, the Dem who got along so famously with Reagan? (Of course, it didn’t hurt both were Irish!). It was a different time then. I’m just not sure how Reagan would fare in today’s political environment.

MAL…Yup, I know how you feel when I compare Trump to Reagan…but I’m NOT comparing, really, just using Reagan as SUCH a careful, articulate speaker…never giving the media the type of nastiness and untruths and Trump so often gave…. That matters to me. Trump let US down by doing so…..

I have to agree with all that, Z. It does make you wonder how Reagan would’ve handled things today, doesn’t it? And how would’ve the left handled him? Keep in mind the shameful way they treated Sarah Palin. Could Reagan even taken all that? As well as Nancy?

MAL: I think Reagan would have clipped the media’s ears back with FACTS, with explanations…..I think he’d have actually SAID “Do you people who only watch leftwing news know that you have barely heard of the huge illegal migration on our S Border?”
A GREAT gift I’ve received from putting CNN on more often while I have FOX on, is to see what LIBERAL PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW….It helps me understand their stupid decisions better.

Not ONE of them were reminded that GAVIN NEWSOM ONLY TALKED ABOUT LARRY ELDER BEING LIKE TRUMP….not ANYTHING GOOD NEWSOM HAD DONE…(NOT ONCE) because HE HASN’T done ONE good thing!!!!!! And that happened ALL over the country.
The Left constantly reminding voters that any Republican candidate was JUST ANOTHER TRUMP and YOU KNOW HOW BAD HE IS (because they told you …)

A very wealthy, well connected liberal friend of a friend who lives in the Bay Area said to her “Madelaine, you can’t believe there’s homelessness in San Francisco!” I swear she said that. THEY DO NOT KNOW.

I believe Reagan would not just SLAMMED the media for their unfairness to HIM but would have used that bully pulpit to FILL PEOPLE IN ON THE TRUTH…because he was covered QUITE a bit in the news, even on CNN, etc….

    Anyway, that’s what I THINK!! 🙂

Yes, good and timely. It would be very easy – and very tempting – to ‘retreat’ to only look after Mr. B and pick up service again once he’s gone. The initial whispering about vaccine passports made me wake up and realize how short our time here could be. Who knows how quickly and energetically the evil forces of authoritarianism will advance toward Revelation 13 once this camel’s nose is under the tent? It’s been in the works for years, and now they are emboldened to act in the name of gesundheit. Look at Australia, for God’s sake.

I am grateful for the encouragement I’ve gotten from the team at the Stand to Reason ministry – and our own study in Jude! – to stand and encourage other Christians through dark times which seem to be engulfing us. Perhaps this is some purpose for the incredibly dark path I’ve been on. I am grateful for the 4 years of his finger in the dike Donald Trump gave to us. But that’s over, and it’s up to us.

I cannot believe ANYONE in San Francisco does not see the expansive vagrancy/drug problem around them. After the rioting in Washington DC last year the mayor lauded BLM protests on camera, but the angles had to be carefully chosen to avoid all the smashed out store windows. Is that what that woman sees? Camelot? Once beautiful city streets with visual cutouts where filth and vagrancy now abound?

Bay, I’ve said the same thing about having received the gift of 4 additional years via Trump.
Remember someone on the left saying the odds of Trump winning is ten million to one. We all shoulda laid some serious money on that one!

BAYSIDER, I’m hearing a LOT of the camel’s nose on FOX by a lot of pundits lately…so true.
I’m grateful for the people you inspire with all you’ve been going through with Mr. B.

HOnestly, Leftwingers DO NOT KNOW. As I said above, I have NEVER seen mention of the migrant situation on the southern border on ANY leftwing coverage. it’s astonishing.

THis is where Trump could have excelled…..REMINDING people of THE FACTS.
HE ought to be the one reminding people that WE are the prisoners to COVID and illegal aliens are coming in and being dispersed around the country with NO regulations forced upon them.
HE ought to be reminding of how our healthcare costs in this country are hurting everyone and how much worse it’ll be paying for 300K migrants, too… closed hospitals is happening, less staff, etc.
    HE …..you get the picture.

    Instead, he insults newscasters.
